My wife and father-in-law are going to the Atlanta United match, which will be especially cool since it's being played at the University my wife went to, AND against a team my father-in-law used to play for in Charleston Battery.
Eco Posted June 6, 2018 Author Posted June 6, 2018 And we had an upset last night. Louisville City (USL) 3-2 New England (MLS) DC United (MLS) 1 - 1 North Carolina (USL) Philadelphia Union (MLS) 5 - 0 Richmond Kickers (USL)
Eco Posted June 7, 2018 Author Posted June 7, 2018 Atlanta United win comfortably against Charleston Battery with a scoreline of 3-0.
El Profesor Posted June 7, 2018 Posted June 7, 2018 Is Barco doing well at Atlanta? Such a talented kid.

He played his worst game over the weekend, but overall he has been fantastic. Probably the 3rd best player on this team which he probably enjoys since on a talent scale, we are so far ahead of everyone else in the league. Administrator Stan Posted June 7, 2018 Administrator Posted June 7, 2018 good to see a non-MLS side get to the next round given Louisville and Nashville will play each other. Portland vs LA Galaxy and Philadelphia vs NYRB should be good games. Atlanta should go through easily. Not been impressed with Chicago so far this season. They concede for fun.

It's nice to think that to get to the Semi-Finals, we just need to defeat Chicago at home, and then either Nashville or Lousiville. Last year Cincinatti FC went to the Semis, which makes some sense if you consider that MLS teams at this stage are playing backups and players need to get into match form.
Eco Posted June 21, 2018 Author Posted June 21, 2018 Well, I wasn't able to watch it last night, but from everyone I've heard from, it was an awful match. No Martinez, and the only regular starters being Almiron, Villalba, and LGP. So losing 1-0 to the Fire isn't a shocker.
