Azeem
Just a thought that came to my mind. Imagine if all the teams eliminated in the group stages were to compete in a similar fashion as the ones that progressed to decide the best team out of the ones that couldn't make it past the group stages to decide some sort of second tier world cup champions. Here it is what it would have looked like. How it would have turned out ?

Guest
In some sports This is quite common. I'd be in favour of a cup for small nations. Which his kind of happening with the uefa nations league

Which his kind of happening with the uefa nations league Yep, in Field hockey there are matches that decided every position from the winner to 15/16th place match. Its not that impossible in football world cup from logistic/schedule point of view.
Subscriber Mel81x+ Posted July 4, 2018 Subscriber Share Posted July 4, 2018 I'd watch that Serbia - Germany clash just to see the Germans lose ... again.
Guest
In that group, I'd only fancy us to lose against Iran, Morocco or Germany. Other than those 3 we should be getting to the final pretty easily.
