It's an idiom so no way to translate it properly and keep the wordplay but basically "auf die Eier gehen" means the same as "to get on somebody's tits" only instead of tits it's balls and it's also the same word used for eggs (hence the pic of Easter eggs and the reason why they threw "eggs" on the pitch). So the banner literally says "Monday matches gets on our balls (eggs)". Haha. Not sure it makes sense; much is lost in translation but you get the grip.

nudge Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 By the way it's Frankfurt away fans protesting. Not the home Wolfsburg fans.
Guest Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Don't think Chelsea will be to worried about Frankfurt from what I have seen so far

They still came in numbers though from what they said. A lot of Wolfsburg fans have boycotted. Is good to see a league where the fans have so much power though

nudge Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 "Bust someone's balls" probably would be a better translation btw!

Which is quite clever considering that Wolfsburg's attendances are often mocked by the fans of other teams to be low due to most of their fans being VW workers who can't make it to the stadium because of working late shifts

Eco Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 0-0 at HT. Not an awful half, but we are looking too open when Wolfsburg go down the right.
nudge Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Off the bar. Off the post. Wolfsburg certainly look more likely to score here.
Eco Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 Rebic coming on as well as De Guzman. Good subs. Jovic has looked slow today.
Eco Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 Such a sloppy game for Frankfurt, 3 points here would be massive in getting CL football next year, what a massive goal.
nudge Posted April 22, 2019 Posted April 22, 2019 Haha. Brooks equalises in the 90th minute... Not undeserved.
Eco Posted April 22, 2019 Author Posted April 22, 2019 It's over. 1-1. Disappointing not to take all 3 points, but we weren't the better team, so can't be too arsed.
