Monday kickoffs; fans of most teams have been protesting against it.

Hasn't bundesliga had midweek games for years?

No. We have a few "English weeks" during the season where midweek matches are played but it's not a regular thing by any means.

I don't think anyone needs to speak fluent German to understand 'Corrupt Bastards' not sure about the rest though..

It's an idiom so no way to translate it properly and keep the wordplay but basically "auf die Eier gehen" means the same as "to get on somebody's tits" only instead of tits it's balls and it's also the same word used for eggs (hence the pic of Easter eggs and the reason why they threw "eggs" on the pitch). So the banner literally says "Monday matches gets on our balls (eggs)". Haha. Not sure it makes sense; much is lost in translation but you get the grip.

By the way it's Frankfurt away fans protesting. Not the home Wolfsburg fans.

Ah right. They still came in numbers though from what they said. A lot of Wolfsburg fans have boycotted. Is good to see a league where the fans have so much power though

Don't think Chelsea will be to worried about Frankfurt from what I have seen so far

Don't think they will all that fussed about us either if they switched over.. 1-0 down to Burnley after only 8 minutes

They have their own protest banner too:

"Shift workers against Monday matches".

Which is quite clever considering that Wolfsburg's attendances are often mocked by the fans of other teams to be low due to most of their fans being VW workers who can't make it to the stadium because of working late shifts xD

Brilliant sign that TBH.
