  1. His World Cup place for Chile would have been a guarantee. Infact a poor season for Arsenal but a great World Cup would still improve his stock. Without the World Cup as a fall back option id argue we would now see a more focused Alexis that will benefit Arsenal until his futures decided.
  2. Aidy Hoofroyd has told our under 21 squad to stop showboating. What i'd do to see one of the first team players show us a bit of excitement and skill against the mighty likes of Malta and Lithuania. How did these coaches get these jobs.
  3. It was such poor zonal marking I cannot force myself to vote for it.
  4. I'd argue there is no pressure or expectation. Not anywhere near what it once was anyway. We don't ask for much. We'd just like to beat teams like Scotland and Iceland.
  5. Gareth Southgates comments about why he called Harry Winks are another one to add to the collection of frustrating comments. "Its so he can get used to how we train. Oh Yes, because there's some secret, brilliant way that England train their players that the Tottenham coaches don't know about.
  6. I can't get over Gareth Southgate admitted he's picked people that don't deserve to be in the squad. Is he suggesting there is less than 23 people in the whole country deserving to play for England? It's not like our under 20s won a national tournament or anything. He emphasises everything that's wrong with the FA. A complete an utter yes man willing to do anything that's suggested from above. He should be banished from football after EPPP and the under 21s performances two years ago. Never mind in what was one of the most sought over jobs in football less than ten years ago. A year ago he said he picks players on form. Well what form has Lingaard shown with his zero starts this season? Sends a terrible message to all players outside the top six and shows why nobody should trust what this snow flake of a man says.
  7. Benteke is injured for six weeks. So after last season where we had no left back for half the season after Pape Souare's injury youd think the board would have learned their lesson. But no, instead they refused to invest in two key positions, so now we have NO striker and Wayne Hennessey in goal for the foreseeable future. The board only have themselves to blame. Year after year our summer planning is piss poor and it's finally catching up on us.
  8. ... I guess Birmingham will be looking for a manager that has got them all playing well in the past too.
  9. It depends how it's formed. Clubs wouldn't have got the full reported amounts for our top players because they wouldn't have activated the bonus fees. However we have been extremely wasteful with money over the last couple of years. If this was an FM save I would restart the whole thing. Sako being paid more than Bolasie was is just ridiculous. That said if we are this season's Sunderland or Villa hopefully we can flog some of our expensive assets for what we paid or over because of inflation.
  10. I don't get the hate. It's not as if he's walking in to a top six job. He's walking it to a bottom half team which is about his level.
  11. It's been a terrible month, as it was last season, and when Pulis resigned, and when we first went up. But that's the way we like it. Hence why we voted against moving the deadline earlier.
  12. Makes perfect sense. He was a class above everybody else for us and multiple people commented on his attitudes being excellent. All parties are winners here.
  13. Didnt know this article existed, all is forgiven, welcome back Dougie: m.croydonadvertiser.co.uk/regret-leaving-crystal-palace-mistake-going/story-29347417-detail/story.html
  14. Club legend and hero Dougie Freedman has been appointed Sporting Director. Well, until a better offer comes along.

NXT Takeover was great last night. Here's hopeing for more the same tonight.
  16. A lot of reports are suggesting it's true. Fans that are angry at Huddersfield's tactics of hard tackles and pressing early on really need to get a grip.
  17. He's a likeable player. Hasn't had any 'wtf' moments. All pace but not much technical ability at this level which is similar to what you guy says warned us. His best games are when we are in control. I think he will suit left wing back but Glue will get the nod ahead of him because hes more vocal and technically an all round more gifted player.
  18. There owner reminds me a bit of Simon Jordan. Probably why everybody around here was delighted they lost to Kingstonians the other day.
  19. So he's injured for Swansea, Burnley and Southampton but he will be ready for City, United and Chelsea. This is going to be a long season.

Caffeine wasn't considered addictive until Man drank coffee out of one of those mugs.
  21. Sorry- Given how impressive Swansea were under Clement and Hull were under Silva, I reckon we would have been in real trouble sticking with Pardew who had clearly ran out of ideas, had a sub-standard coaching set up and lost the dressing room. - Didn't foresee a left back problem? We had four transfer windows to replace Dean fucking Moxey. - Pardew may have got Schlupp, but would he have been able to persuade Van Aanholt and Sakho to join us? I'm not too sure. I doubt he even knew who Luka was either. On a side note, I'm not sold by this three at the back possession based football ethic that DeBoer is trying to introduce. He's got Townsend at right wing back, he's got Luka at center back, hes got our old fashioned defenders trying to pass the ball, he's made such an emphasis on bringing in defensive reinforcements we would be in real trouble if Zaha or Benteke got injured as the backup players are guaranteed to spend two thirds of the season injured. With our difficult fixtures and what happened last season I think it's all a bit ill timing to revert our playing policy that's been relatively successful.
