  1. RIP. Him refusing to accept a Champions League winners medal in Moscow when Kenyon took the silver sums him up perfectly.
  2. You'd like to think his agent would receive a lengthy punishment at the very least.

NWA have miraculously landed a deal on The CW network which is pretty much in every home in America with an antenna. If they get a good TV deal then things may get interesting for a while. I don't think they'll trouble long term because the booking has dropped off a cliff since Corgin replaced Lagana with himself but it could be funny to see Tony Khan react if he feels threatened by them. I'll probably check out the first couple of episodes as I've always been a fan of EC3.

I had a lot of good will towards AEW after All In, but a lot of that evaporated when last week Tony Khan showed he will never change. As long as he's in charge of creative the company has a ceiling. What hasn't helped him is last week's Smackdown sounds like the best Smackdown since the last WrestleMania. Him and Jericho can whign all they want about how WWE stacked NXT with The Avengers but the reality is if AEW had a show that had consistent booking this wouldn't have been a contest.
  5. I'm a big fan of the new feature that let's you start from July 3rd before transfers were made.
  6. If they were serious about building a sporting legacy theres only one real option for them. North London already has two massive stadiums, East London already has The Olympic Stadium, West London has Stamford Bridge. That just leaves South London. The area that is arguably the hot bed of football talent in England. That already has a Premier League team that's been established for 10+ years with a chairman that's taken the role as the spokesperson for the majority. Oh, and whats that? They also have the best name in English football with owners that are open to selling. Oh, and they're above Manchester United in the table. Tell me where I'm telling lies.
  7. It looks like the Beta version will drop this evening.
  8. If he's been betting on matches he's involved in then he's fortunate not to have a longer ban than 12 months as far as I'm concerned. I don't like being cynical but the timing of his transfer from AC Milan was far too odd and convenient for them not to have known something.
  9. A ban in Italy would have no bearing in England unless it was a ban applied by UEFA or FIFA.

  12. Given all The Glaziers are on different wavelengths when it comes to valuation this whole 100% control process feels like a waste of time.

If Tony Khan had any real friends, they would have told him to come off Twitter a long time. In less than two days he called Triple H a 'bald asshole', took unnecessary shots at Cena and Taker for doing the same thing Adam Copeland did last week, took the outdated Neilsen raitings personally, cried about cage match raitings and hyped up Dave Meltzer's 'booker of the year'. He really makes it difficult for people who want to root for his company.
  14. Terrible to hear. Hopefully he makes a full recovery and gets back in to football should he wish to.
  15. We were in the same position against Forest. Injuries feel more common this season than others. I wonder why that is.
  16. Just when you thought it couldn't get any worse.
  17. F1: FIA president Mohammed Ben Sulayem wants more teams and fewer races - https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/67051341.app?fbclid=IwAR3Tao3jK2tpDhI51RTuoEHx3cHkgjbsVWr62M0Qx29dSmHvk6Md2kt8vdc I agree. With 24 races it feels like they're diluting the product. More teams isn't a bad thing for the consumer. I imagine current teams will push back as they'll get less of the pie but they've done well to have ten teams for this length of time.
  18. It's official https://www.avfc.co.uk/news/2023/october/06/watkins-new-contract/
