  1. Some big changes due to the fixture congestion elsewhere: Boro - No Crooks Blackburn - Hill, Markanday, Telalovic start. Adam Wharton, Moran, Travis bench Huddersfield - Chapman in goal. Swansea - Someone called Sam Parker starts. Watford - Chakvetadze starts. Rajovic bench Norwich - Gibson starts. Núñez, Rowe, Sargent, Idah bench Leicester - Choudhury starts. Pereira, Doyle bench QPR - Cannon, Cook, Willock, Armstrong start Sheff Weds - Windass bench Ipswich - Clarke bench. No Davis, Burns Sunderland - Aouchiche starts Bristol City - Wells starts. Conway bench Coventry - O’Hare, Bidwell, Van Ewijk bench Birmingham - Drameh, Donovan start Hull City - Twine bench
  2. Southampton: Downes, Aribo and S Armstrong out. Charles, Alcaraz and Adams in Plymouth: Kesler-Hayden, Gillesphey, Miller, Butcher and Wright out. Mumba, Houghton, Edwards, Galloway and Azaz in. Hardie back on the bench
  3. I wonder if Steve Parish will panic if we lose and sack Roy Hodgson. Which would be unfair as there's only four people that are to blame for the predicament we are in: Josh Harris, David Blitzer, John Textor and Steve Parish.
  4. You have no idea how many websites I went on to find a picture I could screenshot after the first game had started. It would have been quicker to manually type them.
  5. Made me laugh seeing how many Bristol City fans have gone from 'who is he?' to 'You just got Manning'd!' in the space of six weeks. It shows how little you should be paying to fan groups on social media.
  6. The owners are getting exactly what they deserve. We have been sleep walking in to a disaster after three very underwhelming transfer windows. They have shown the same naivety that Leicester City showed the summer before and quite frankly this board deserve the same outcome. There is no way on God's green earth that the likes of Everton or Luton, who both beat us, deserve to finish below us. How after 10+ years at this level can anybody think it's acceptable to not replace Wilfried Zaha, Conor Gallagher and Christian Benteke? It's a dereliction of duty. I feel for the coaching staff who are taking the brunt of criticism online. Even if we appointed Pep Guardiola he'd still be fire fighting until next summer because this is a bottom five squad. He'd still be subbing Jordan Ayew for Jeffrey Schlupp because there are no attacking options available. I feel for the players too. That starting eleven are giving it everything. We have 5 or 6 fantastic individual talents. Michael Olise showed tonight that he is a fantastic individual player. But the gap between those players and the rest in terms of quality is gigantic. I hope they go on to have fantastic careers but the sad reality is our owners are not ambitious enough for them to reach their potential at Crystal Palace. I think I said this on September 1st but just wake me up when this season is over. Even when were 16th in The Championship i could still dream. I've never been so underwhelmed and bored to support Crystal Palace.
  7. Quite torn today. Wins against Chelsea and Brentford would obviously be great given we never beat them as we limp to a 14th place finish this season, but two poor results would likely lead to the board shitting themselves and spending a decent chunk of money in January on the six positions that need reinforcements.
  8. Massive goal at the end there. The goalie had no chance after the deflection.
  9. I only watch Manchester United now for Onana. What an entertainer.
  10. Swansea looked utterly terrible on Soccer Saturday. Southampton didn't need to get out of second gear. Take nothing away from Southampton though. Sixteen games unbeaten, eleven wins, they're well in the promotion hunt.
  11. Chris Wood turning in to prime Raul was not on my Boxing Day Bingo Card.
  12. Liam Millar scored an excellent winner for Preston against Leeds.
  13. Leeds and Millwall the early kick offs. The big 1st vs 2nd match is at 7.45. Orient vs Charlton has kicked off early. Mansfield vs Grimsby has kicked off early along with Gillingham vs Crawley.
  14. I was told at my Christmas party that I was living under a rock because I had never watched Curb Your Enthusiasm. And they were right. Some episodes have been brilliant. I've binged five seasons now. I do think the earlier series were better as Larry David has gone from being a really unlucky guy where everything's blown out of proportion to being a major idiot himself but I've been told it gets better.
  15. When I heard this topic of conversation I immediately thought of this: Then I heard Joey Barton has a podcast coming out, which explains the caveman comments.
