  1. There's a theory that they will try to sell as many unwanted players possible before June 30th so that the transfer fees can be put in to this season's financial accounts.
  2. Thanks. It makes all the sense in the world for me to get the 254GB version, but I spent 800 odd pound on an Asus Rog Zephyrus laptop in 2020 that's got plenty of juice left in it so it's just about me battling with my pride now.
  3. Anyone with any gaming knowledge able to advise whether a Steam Deck is worth a purchase? All the games I play are on Steam now, and most of the time I'm on my laptop is on the train to work. So to have them all on a handheld seems like a dream come true. Is it worth paying the £350 now or waiting 6+ months to see if the price drops?
  4. I guess the FA have an obligation to disclose enough evidence for him to plea. It's the only plausible explanation I can think for why this process has taken so long. I'd be interested to see how Brentford adapt without him for a long period. He's goal involvement percentage for them must be very high but they've picked up impressive wins without him this season.

If anyone wants a laugh this morning have a look at the WON awards for 2022.
  6. The Police had an initial news conference. They didn't say much, because the media's clickbait headlines were not their concern. The medis went ahead anyway, preying on the mention of vulnerabilities and inviting criticism from people who take there stories as gospel. As a result, Police went on to elaborate on what those vulnerabilities are - in order to stop speculation. In another frenzy, the gutter press couldn't get headlines out quick enough - again inviting criticism from those who take there word as gospel. There are people out there who shouldn't need that spelled out for them. Like MP's and a former Detective who likes the sounds of his own voice. Seeing them role out soundbites when they should know better is really disappointing.
  7. I think people should read the family statement before deciding who to throw verbal manure at police in all honesty... "We will never forget Nikki, how could we? She was the centre of our world, she was the one who made our lives so special and nothing will cast a shadow over that. Our girls will get the support they need from the people who love them the most, and it saddens us to think that one day we will have to explain to them that the press and members of the public accused their dad of wrongdoing, misquoted and vilified friends and family. This is absolutely appalling, they have to be held accountable this cannot happen to another family. We tried last night to take in what we had been told in the day, only to have Sky News and ITV making contact with us directly when we expressly asked for privacy. They again, have taken it upon themselves to run stories about us to sell papers and increase their own profiles. It is shameful they have acted in this way. Leave us alone now. Do the press and other media channels and so called professionals not know when to stop? These are our lives and our children's lives. To those who genuinely helped and supported us, privately, we thank you. The community support in St Michael's, friends', neighbours and strangers has been nothing short of comforting and heart-warming. Friends you know who you are. Thank you. Our hearts truly break for others who have missing loved ones. Keep that hope alive. Finally, Nikki, you are no longer a missing person, you have been found, we can let you rest now. We love you, always have and always will, we'll take it from here." Sadly, these words will probably be wasted on those they're aimed at.
  8. I've never seen so many stones being thrown in a glass house that quickly before.
  9. The 'next Alan Shearer' according to Football Manager 2011. To be honest I'd be amazed if he can stay fit until the end of the season. His body just isn't made to be a footballer. A big 'what if' footballer but I'm glad he got his Wembley moment for us.
  10. I think Howard Webb is a positive appointment. The last idiot made so many rule changes it just convoluted what is meant to be a simple game.
  11. I was in a bar earlier and a goal got ruled out in the Juventus game by the stud of an ankle when another Fiorentina player scored from 20 yards in the 89th minute. I'm pro VAR but stuff like that is killing the game. Clear and obvious is a player offside by a good yard. Not by a stud.

They need a booker badly... Eddie Kingston organically gets over... they sandbag him to Jericho. Miro organically gets over... they make him lose to a prune like Sammy Guevara. Wardlow organically gets over... they make him look less than an 140 pound skateboarder. FTR gets over... they're kept off TV. Ricky Starks gets over... he loses to Daniel Garcia. The Acclaimed gets over... they take away there titles. Some of the decision making is so bad it's hilarious.

The Cody / Paul Heyman segment this week was very good.

I watched it live with a group of people. Two of which haven't watched since last year's WrestleMania which made it more interesting. I really enjoyed the men's Royal Rumble and thought the agents did a really good job. Compared to last years its chalk and cheese. One noticeable thing is the people who hadn't seen Gunther before didn't realise what the rest of us were excited about after seeing what he looked like before they saw him wrestle. They initially saw another Kozlov. By the end they got the hype. We made a joke at that point "We might as well go home after that as they're not going to better it" and sadly I wish I did. The Bray Wyatt match wasn't for me but I get why others like it, the Bianca ending was a bit 'was that it?', the women's Rumble was good with the last five but really lacked any star power for most parts. That signer coming on at half four in the morning knowing I was up at nine and atill had to sit through Roman's entrance was soul destroying. The Roman match felt like going on last we'd see a big return so to get a story beat instead at 5.15 felt underwhelming at the time. Its something I would have enjoyed a lot more if I watched it the next day as opposed to live.
  15. Every day this feels more and more like the Aston Villa season of 2016.
  16. We've joked about this for a while. They did the same thing with Chelsea.

Hopefully his Daughter pulls through. It sounds like she's still in a bad way.
  18. Providing the spending slows down at some point, unless they miss out on Europe for 2/3 seasons I don't see how they will breach FFP due to amortisation. Some of these players are signing very lengthy contracts. Mind you the prospect of having a load of Winston Bogarde's on the pay roll for years on end can't be a nice thought. It may just be a case of spending as much now before the FFP revenue on fees drops from 90% to 70%.

A good owner let's competent staff get on with there jobs. Viacom with Bellator, Endeavour with UFC etc. Tony Khan would be well out of his depth working in such a behemoth of a company. AEW 2022 was the worst booked year since WCW 2000.

Tony Khan would be the worst person to buy WWE. WWE need an owner whose not going to interfere. There's no way Tony Khan will do that. He'd have The Bloodline doing 45 second promos for weeks on end before losing to Jericho.

It's sound like Vince has sold to the Saudi's and Stephanie has resigned. It didn't last a week for him to nuke the company. Then. Now. It's over.
