Just noticed Twitter is having a meltdown over raitings as Raw have hit their lowest in some time. Personally, I dont think live raitings are the 'be all end all'. Its definitely not fair to compare raitings now to 10+ years ago. We live in age where people can watch highlights off YouTube and Twitter or just prefer to listen to a podcast recap. There's even Wrestling related podcasts where they admit to not watching the weekly show ffs . There's also other factors like no live audience and Raw being the B show now which would have affected the raitings. That said, to go from 4 million in 2016 (which we will probably look back as a real golden year) to 2 million in 2018 (which is possibly the worst year I can think of) to 1.5 million now is alarming. Personally think they're paying the price for showing too much respect to previous generations. The decline started when they ditched the Kevin Owens / Chris Jericho main event stuff to make Goldberg Champion. They then have a creation in Bray Wyatt whose momentum got completely shafted by Goldberg becoming Champion. They have Drew and Roman at the minute who could get people talking with an epic man event feud, but they choose to retire Undertaker for the 50th time to close off Survivor Series. I know AEW are not everyone's cuppa but they have a better balance with legends. They'll introduce them for the interest Spike but they're used to elevate the talent who are in or approaching their prime. In WWE any legend that comes back is looking at a title run. I can't see the raitings picking up any time soon. You look at other industries that WWE will see as entertainment competitors and the top is surrounded by younger creative minds. Vince surrounds himself with people like Bruce Pritchard.

Nah man, he gave a parking lot brawl 5 stars. This was another level. They traded finishers in the ring and everything.

Greatest Wrestling Match Ever. Even Meltzer couldn't give it a rating.

Edge Orton for match of the year hands down.
  5. I'll try and let it not influence my end of year award votes.
  6. So basically, you want an extra week off full pay whilst everybody else struggles to find and fund last minute childcare.

Its the manner in how Mox lost the title is why its must watch. It made Sting an afterthought. Best episode of Dynamite yet.

They've missed so many opportunities over the years to appeal to a younger audience its rather embarrassing. Take having four members of The Bullet Club on the roster and just dancing around the idea for years, young people lap up that stuff. At the minute on screen you've got Roman and Drew are pretty hot at the minute in the US and the UK (and could be hotter) but they rely on the old guard for Survivor Series. Then off screen you have them focusing on TV raitings as opposed to trying to impact platforms such as Twitch, Netflix and Amazon to appeal to a younger audience. I can't see the situation changing if you have Bruce Pritchard calling the shots. They need fresh ideas. Not someone who just says "he was the right guy at the time" fifty times on a podcast because he's incapable of looking beyond his nose.

He seems to think its still 1998 when it comes to Goldberg. It really wouldn't surprise me if he sees Goldberg as the biggest threat to Roman.

Great photo of The Undertaker leaving last night. I still hope to see a cinematic match with Sting at some point. Regardless of how nice to that tribute was. The hologram of Paul Bearer was a real nice touch.

I can't see Undertaker wrestling. The cinematic stuff was a good way to ensure he didn't make a tit of himself. Would quite like to see him and Sting do something like that as Triple H robbed us off that classic for his ego.

Predictions for tonight? - Chief Roman to beat Drew McIntyre thanks to interference. - Team Raw mens team will confidently beat Team Smackdown. Not sure if they click with AJ or after he gets eliminated. A big shout that Seth will either kayfabe no show or not get in the ring with Matt Riddle once. - Sasha Banks to win. They can't gave her lose at the minute. - Bobby Lashley to beat Sami Zayn. I'll be amazed if he doesn't win. - Street Profits to beat New Day. They need this more. - Team Raw Womens to beat Team Smackdown. Smackdown think they win as they've forgotten about Lana. She comes in and gets the win. - Lars Sullivan to win the battle royal to make an impression.

I've avoided the Broken Skull sessions after the original series when he slated Ambrose at a time when he was Champion and spent half the Heyman episode talking about himself. Just reeked of a has been trying to remain relevant.

Jon Moxley is set to lose in a mid card match at Wrestle Kingdom as AEW try to rebuild relations with NJPW. Kenny Omega will be headlining there new video games. A title change either in December or February makes sense.
  18. Cant believe somebody has signed off an eleven million dividend payout when there's staff on minimum wage. Incredible decision. The people that run the club on a day to day basis on the ground must feel bewildered with their American owners at times.
  19. I believe we are entitled to 40% of Bertinho's profits as a musician based on the attention we gave him for a considerable number of years. So we only need £249.96 by March.
  20. I preferred it to HOHH to be honest. Once they've finished introducing the characters it really picks up steam.

Personally think the time to pull the trigger on The Miz was two years ago. Instead they put him in that god awful angle with Shane McMahon and he's never felt the same to me since. He showed this week him and John Morrison can hang with the main eventers, but I wouldn't say they're as over as Drew, Bray and Orton who are arguably doing some of their best work at the minute. AEW's go home show for Full Gear emphasised a big problem they have for me. The TNT title is being perceived bigger than the world title because Cody is being consistently booked with long segments and is last on. Mox has gone stale as a Champion because they're putting him in feuds with guys that are never going to beat him and he's not ending shows. It just feels inevitable that Jon Moxley will lose the title to his first real challenger, which is likely to be Kenny Omega at the next PPV. Other than Mox/Kingston it does look like a good card so I'll probably stay up and watch.

Edge comes back. Ends his feud with Randy Orton by taking the title off him. His first title victory since having to relinquish the title almost ten years ago .... only for The Miz to cash in and take title ten seconds later.
  23. They didn't bother fixing it at all in the last game so I doubt they'll do anything.
  24. Champions League freezes and restarts after GW2 on my game. Another issue I imagine they won't resolve as it doesn't make them FUT money.
