  1. I must say I've enjoyed this version so far. The AI is clearly set for late drama but other than that its been a good game.
  2. The Haunting of Bly Manor. 9/10. Thought it got really good in the second half of the series. Thoroughly recommend as an October evening series.

I think Jericho will turn face at some point. Posisbly when fans return. Maybe MJF purchases the services of LAX and Hager whilst Guevara stays loyal.
  4. Torreira looks to be better suited in a diamond formation behind two midfielders. Think its just a case of a good player that can't fit in to a new system.
  5. Really rate Joe Rodon. Has all the attributes you would want for a modern day defender at his age. If he joined any mid table side he'd establish himself as the heartbeat of the defence in less than a season.
  6. This could actually be a smart move... - Hennessey is injured and his contract expires this summer. - Previously worked well with Roy Hodgson with PL and England experience. - Better competition for Guaita. - Guaita still hasn't signed a new contract. We may have resolved an issue for next summer prior to it becoming an issue.
  7. For those confused on the Covid situation in the UK...
  8. Has anyone tried the new career mode? Are Trent, Virgil and Robbo still being sold by Liverpool in January?

I've enjoyed it. They've been fairly criticised at times (last episode of 2019, Matt Hardy's concussion, Riho as Champion etc) but on the whole they've done well. In Jericho and Mox they have had the right World Champions and they've created a platform for ex-WWE talent like Brodie Lee to showcase whilst giving their own talent an opportunity to thrive (MJF, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy). The tag team divison in particular has been very enjoyable and is a USP in comparison to competitors. Theyve done well to avoid the company being a Kenny and Young Bucks love in but I think the former is being underutilised. The biggest complaint is the women's divison but they've had an element of bad luck with injuries after starting off in the wrong direction. It will get there. With Swole, Statlander, Nyla Rose, Shida, Diamante, Ivelisse and Thunder Rosa there's enough talent to work with. Overall I'm optimistic for the future. Hopefully they'll settle on their roster for a bit as opposed to signing everyone Twitter wants them to.
  10. Well, a transfer window where all the noises were so positive has ended in Roy Hodgson saying he's going to turn our only creative long term signing in to Jeffrey Schlupp. Very underwhelming.
  11. https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/no-other-industry-is-asking-firms-to-bail-out-competitors-tqxf9vl2z Steve Parish showing the empathy of a Tory here. This is about protecting the pyramid of football from falling apart. Football clubs in small towns are the lifeblood of the community. They're what local people love and live for. I love everything he's done for my club but this is unprecedented times. No club could have budgeted for this circumstance and the footballing pyramid means far more than the wealth of the Premier League 20 clubs. If a global pandemic doesn't bring us closer together then nothing will. Feet back on the floor Steve.
  12. Spending far more than his competitors? Turning goal line technology off?
  13. Any worry of a near miss hangover for Thomas Frank after yesterday, Danny?

Why is Pat McAfee feuding with Adam Cole? Why has Vince McMahon only just seen Street Fighter and tried to incorporate it to Raw? This is the second year in a row where the build up to Summer Slam has been shoddy.

I think if Cody was mixing with them he would be in the same category.

Yes. Cody would be up against not only Brawn and The Fiend (who crrative would prefer anyway) but also AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, The Miz, John Morrison, Cesaro, Nakamura, Sheamus and Jeff Hardy. A lot of solid B level players there and Cody will slot somewhere in the middle.

Im not sure he would. He definitely wouldnt on Smackdown. They're stacked at the minute even without Roman. Raw he'd have more of a chance but he would still need to compete with Orton and Rollins for that opportunity.

It all started off really well. Got himself in a popular faction with Randy Orton and when on Smackdown he got plenty of air time and opportunity as a singles superstar. That 'era' of WWE superstar (emerging late naughties, early 2010/11) was held back by the fact they merged the brands back together. The exceptional still stood out in CM Punk and eventually Daniel Bryan whilst the very good in Wade Barrett, Cody Rhodes, Cesaro, Dolph Ziggler etc never had the trigger pulled. The Shield, Bray Wyatt and NXT came along and that was it. The last time i thought they may push him was going in to MITB in 2013 but they chose his tag partner in Damien Sandow to win it (and then do nothing). The tag team with Goldust and the Stardust character should have been done at the beginning of his character as opposed to the end. That just screamed of tag team run to lower midcarder.

Im still baffled as to why they did that.

Yeah, a heel turn is most logical. I think theyll experiment with a face faction of a modern day four horsemen (FTR & Spears included) prior to that though. Yeah I agree about the booking at present with AEW. I think Kenny Omega's momentum can be easily built up though. I wouldnt be surprised if he ended up in a position to be a convincing champion by the end of the year if he gets out this tag team with Adam Page and wins a convincing feud against him Really like Keith Lee though. The performance at Survivor Series really solidified it for me. He's the right face for the long term of the brand. The treatment of the big guys has been odd. Theyve just been thrown as meat for the estbalished names to conquer immediatly. I could understand Brodie Lee (and Wardlow) but not building Brian Cage and Lance Archer more just seemed off. Brian Cage looks like Vince McMahon's wet dream of an ideal wrestler. I remember them talking about this heavily when he first joined Impact. That interview really has affected him going forwards. I get a lot of these guys probably didnt think they'd get to WWE level at the time, but you have to wonder what was going through their heads to speak so freely about stuff like this, let alone actually do it. Nah i recorded it and watched it the following morning.
  22. I really hope this doesn't apply to the EFL. They need far longer than ten weeks to reorganise themselves following the impact of covid.

The WWE 'sloppy seconds' stuff is a bit harsh as the guys they've hired were generally popular in WWE. They need established names anyway. I wouldnt say Jon Moxley has gone stale either but thats personal opinion. The popcorn wrestling stuff just needs to be left to be left to the tag divison as an alternative to WWE as opposed to the whole show. I did sigh for the first time since he left WWE when Cody came out the other night. Imagine the heat Triple H would have got in the naughties if he created a stipulation that ensured he would get a long match every week where he wins whilst playing the good guy.

I dont get why people feel the need to pick and choose a side. Competition brings out the best in everybody. If you can't enjoy wrestling now then you shouldn't be watching it at all.
