  1. Fair to say we should have scored a couple here, but then Liverpool could have had an extra with that break that hit Salah’s shin. More than anything this game is highlighting how badly we miss Henry, Schade and Mbeumo. Our team right now has no pace, with Schade and Mbeumo our counter attacks just find that extra yard where defenders can’t recover like Konate did against Toney earlier. With Henry that Liverpool goal is taken care of easily, he’s so strong defensively in those positions and it allows is to be aggressive. The lack of pace was a problem against City and Spurs, with it we completely turn those games on their heads. Without it, its a struggle at times which means our counter attacking needs to be more precise. I don’t think we need to make many changes right now, we just need to get back to creating chances like we did earlier in the first half. With that said at some point I expect Wissa and Onyeka to come on, our finishing has been poor and Onyeka offers legs and pace from midfield, we need his running in behind to help cause problems.
  2. Agreed. Henry would normally be in that position and would deal with it
  3. Our finishing is rusty, couple shots taken too early, too late or scuffed. Creating a lot of chances though, just need to start scoring now as realistically we could be 1 or 2-0 up. But Liverpool will eventually bring on Salah…
  4. Good start so far, we’ve been lively and the better side. But I expect Liverpool to start to dominate possession soon
  5. Why have Liverpool recruited one of their coaches from Asterix and Obelix?
  6. Only two clubs in the league have a completely independent data analysis system, Brighton and Brentford, unlike the rest of the league, nobody has access to that data other than what each club’s data analysis produces. Even then there will still be crossover, Newcastle are not fishing from a separate pool to Man Utd lol.
  7. Haha it’s not really a surprise tbh, we rarely spend massively and we buy players with a focus for them to succeed over a 5 year period. When we beat Man City twice last season something like 11 of the players involved were with us when we got promoted, 12 of our current squad were with us in the Championship. Even one of our signings, Maupay, was with us then. It sounds like it should be obvious, but player development and player pathways is a massive factor at the club and it means that because we buy well we don’t need to keep overhauling the squad. Mental really that clubs like Chelsea and United haven’t grasped that.
  8. I think Klopp at Barce would be a good watch but realistically they are fucked financially and probably cannot afford him/attract him.
  9. Villa been so wasteful, they should be all over United with 3/4 goals in the bank, but their end product has been too poor.
  10. This has been coming all game and I’m not sure how Ten Hag can be surprised, United look powerless
  11. United have no control on the game but they are defending well, the problem is Villa’s attack is looking threatening and you feel sooner or later that they will find an end product. It’s not like Villa are out of ideas, just the end product hasn’t been there/United have defended well in those last ditch challenges.
  12. It’s a funny thing to happen but I think the issue is Tuchel. Vastly overrated and has never really proven he should be mentioned amongst elite managers
  13. I thinking anything they’ve turned Girona into a club they can easily sell that another owner with deep pockets may see some value in buying. Could be a generic ownership, could be related to something like the Saudi’s (not necessarily them).
  14. Good defending from Upemecano but thats the second time Adli has fluffed an easy chance on goal
  15. 1-0 Norgaard from a corner. Dominated the game so far, well deserved
  16. Realistically we should be 1-0 up so far. We’ve played well, need to keep the pressure up
  17. Personally I really like their style. Obviously they were slow today and the game was a bit shit, but Pep's football is arguably the best to watch for me. Always has been, just on a different level to everything else.
  18. Everton have defended well but have been poor going forward. If you want something from City you have to score against them, you're not keeping a clean-sheet. Calvert-Lewin looks like he's never played with these players before, just been so slow off the ball or mis-placing passes when he has it. Also, Beto's understanding of the offside rule is non-existent
  19. Can't see Nunes seeing the game out at this point, made a good run earlier to get in behind but he's given the ball away a lot. Doku and Foden running the show otherwise, Doku has been really good but I do think his end product could be a little bit better. Couple moments where I think Grealish either finds the net or finds the assist. Bernardo Silva, Grealish and De Bruyne all on the bench. Fucking hell.
  20. See Maupay's video of him having to rank footballers as they appear? It's a top 10 but you don't get to choose when a player will get picked so you have to guess where you might put them, he had the top 10 mostly done, Aubemeyang popped up and he asked if he could put him 11th
