  1. Just watching some clips from yesterday. Arguably the most dominant performance from any team you will see this season and its reduced to how poor United were rather than how great we were. Classic football media
  2. Ha ha fucking ha. Celebrating like you won the game and then folding immediately after. Fucking wonderful. We should have won that by about 3 or 4 goals, we absolutely battered United. Without 5 of starting eleven in the squad, with Mbeumo on the bench. Special mention to Yehor Yarmoliuk, easily my man of the match. Well maybe not cos of Toney’s skill to get us back in, but for a full performance, phenomenal and completely bossed McTominay, Fernandes and Mainoo.
  3. There has not been a single element of the game United have bettered us in. In complete control. Probably lose 2-0 now
  4. We have to score. Cannot let this complete domination slip from our fingers
  5. Wasn’t very pragmatic in the Champions League final against Madrid when Ancelotti said he and you were too predictable and so your style became easy to play against. I think you’re being unfair comparing De Zerbi to Rogers, the football De Zerbi has had Brighton playing is far beyond the defensive possession based game Rogers had at Swansea.
  6. I'd like to see De Zerbi get a go at a proper good squad that isn't depleted every Summer. At Brighton he's had to contend with losing Trossard, Caicedo, Mac Allister and Colwill. I think for a lot of the players who have stepped up as replacements, it's too soon in their careers to be expected to achieve the same results as their predecessors. Maybe next season, maybe the season after. Maybe it could have been this season if they were playing 1 game a week, but with the Europa League the squad becomes stretched, you lose training days and it can be difficult to build momentum if fixture congestion contributes to unexpected losses. Unlike Liverpool, Brighton don't have players like Salah or Trent to pull them through a tough stretch.
  7. So he should go to Madrid then lol Alsonso's played for the biggest clubs in the world, I don't think the pressure will phase him much.
  8. From the normal angle I thought he might have taken his legs, how VAR havent overturned that is beyond me
  9. Honestly fair play to the ref, Newcastle player diving and feigning a head injury. You stop the game because someone might be concussed, not cos you got tickled on the face and decided to drop to the floor. Great stuff.
  10. I don’t think Liverpool recruit with that sort of thinking. Another successful job like he done at Leverkusen will get people on side again
  11. Tbh if there's a chance to join Real in 2 seasons then you take that. Forget the fact that they are assembling one of the best teams in the world that is full of youth, Real Madrid are gargantuan in size compared to Liverpool. No brainer from both perspectives there.
  12. Fair play to him, probably wants a run in the Champions League with this team
  13. Watched The Gentlemen. Thought it was good but not great, nothing we haven’t seen in the actual film or his other films in terms of surprises and where the shows gone. Thought the ending and some of the twists seemed a bit meh. Watched 3 Body Problem. Binged in a day or two, brilliant show. So good I got the book on audible and the story is even better.
  14. No idea who we have back fit. Mbeumo should start which is good, getting closer to the Brentford of recent years. Not sure what the back line looks like though, thankfully Reguillon is banned, but our options at wing-back are still depleted. Could be a good game for us, could be some obvious holes in the team still missing. Hard to predict
  15. Don’t want to alarm you but everything in that picture is old news
  16. Was Dunk that bad outside of the mistake? I agree he's probably above average and just good on the ball at Brighton, plus he's a one club player so that helps him there. But he's played for England before and performed fairly well so I don't think he was undeserving of more game-time. Bowen is interesting, I wouldn't be surprised if we did bring him as he's just so chaotic. You need that raw pace and power sometimes at International level, both in his pressing and in his ball carrying. I was sceptical after the first cameo he made against Brazil but he sold himself to me against Belgium, very useful.
  17. I like it tbh, last minute, passion, Belgium players being dodos time wasting, must get annoying
  18. Well done to Maddison too, very calm and a harsher head would have taken the shot. The Belgium player who got yellowed for time wasting can get to fuck
  19. He’s a bit of a bull in a china shop but his energy does disrupt the opposition defence/possession
  20. We look good in attack, more fluid than I’ve seen us play.
  21. 1-1 after a Pickford blunder and Mainoo brilliance/Toney pen. England’s midfield has lacked a player who can play forward passes. Rice, Henderson and Gallagher mostly incapable. If we can get more moves from Mainoo like that, then that is how we beat the bigger teams, cos you cant always score from set-pieces/corners. Need to break teams down centrally and Mainoo done that in a heartbeat there
  22. From what I’ve gathered from Portugal supporters is that Martinez has found a way to get the team working around him, whereas the previous coach never tried to
  23. In fairness they went out to Spain in the first KO round at the last Euros and lost to England in the groups, so there is every chance they might do something similar again. Not to mention how much their team has aged too. But I do think it'd be crazy to rule them out for what they've done at two successive World Cup's
  24. Oh yeah, all the Germany come lately’s saying theyre going to win it after spanking France in a friendly. Where were your predictions beforehand when they were rubbish? Predictions not counted
