Back to work for me..... They produced a list at work of people that are most vulnerable or high risk that might have Health problems so I told my boss to put me down for all of them.... Going to be a bugger trying to explain to the wife why I am HIV positive but I will cross that bridge when I get to it...
  4. Well I hope she gets better soon mate...
  5. How's your little one mate???
  6. Now this is a great idea.... With coronavirus spreading, the government is asking us to stay home from work and avoid going to pubs or restaurants. One group of pubs has come up with a way to allow you to continue to enjoy the pub experience from the comfort of your own home, as well as supporting a small business through the crisis. Brewery Signature Brew are behind three London venues – Blackhorse Beer Mile brewery bar, The Collab in Walthamstow and Taproom in Haggerston. As well as offering a click and collect service at the pub, they are launching the Pub In A Box. Starting at £25, you can get the set delivered to your house and have a night at the pub with others in your household to stick to self-isolation rules. The box includes a selection of their award-winning beers, with glassware, beer mats, snacks, a music quiz and exclusive playlists curated by music journalists to accompany the beers themselves. https://metro.co.uk/2020/03/17/bar-launches-pub-box-can-enjoy-experience-home-coronavirus-self-isolation-12409918/
  7. Fraudsters are trying to steal money from elderly people by offering to go shopping for them during the coronavirus outbreak, police have warned. Camden Police urged older people to remain vigilant to offers of help after a "small number of reports" that individuals were using the situation to take advantage of those in need. People over the age of 70, those people with pre-existing conditions and women who are pregnant have been urged to self-isolate as much as possible, in a bid to prevent the spread of Covid-19. We could overcome this problem by getting the Teachers to cover the shopping trips for the elderly in their areas if they close the schools down... better than them just sitting at home doing nothing for the next 2 months and it shows a good community spirit...
  8. Including my daughter who was here yesterday telling me they are going to be laying people off as a result of these measures... going to be some rough times ahead for everyone
  9. I watched both seasons of 'Kingdom' a South Korean tv show... Set in Koreas Joseon period where the Crown Prince has to not only battle internal problems but also cope with an outbreak of a zombie plague... Thought it might be a bit rubbish but was actually very good... Has a bit of a '28 days later' feel to it zombie wise... they even do a scene similar to the 'Long Night' in Game of Thrones which was pretty good.. Lot's of double dealing and back stabbing going on in the background as well which keeps it ticking along nicely rather than just being about zombies all the time...
  10. Was going to watch it on Amazon but they are trying to rob me so will take my business elsewhere....

Is it just me or does @Batard seem to be having an excessively long lunch break??? That's the trouble with working from home, no control of the employee, if they say they are doing the work you just have to believe them..
  13. Nothing we didn't already know then.... Yea, from staying silent to talking about it.... Just like the adult and mature way we have gone about shopping in the high street... We are doomed with these idiots in charge...
  14. Have to agree with Stan on this one, We could never implement this with any success... It will be chaos and badly managed by our Government... They can't even keep track of prisoners on day release with ankle monitors how would they control this idea??? You would just get the same old shit being trotted out after the virus gets worse and more people die because of poor controls.. after it's all calmed down they will launch a big expensive Government enquiry about what went wrong which will take at least 2 years only for them to come out and say "Lessons need to be learned"
  15. They should have this in all the shops so they can calculate how many any one person or family should be able to buy at a time...
  16. For the love of god man will you stop speaking.... I have still not removed that other shower sniffing horror from my mind the other day without you adding even more terrors into my mind... Please stop...
  17. Great if you can get it but same day deliveries from Iceland have gone up to 2 weeks waiting time in some places here... I would love to understand the mentality behind panic buying, It's a virus not a zombie apocalypse.. Just do your shopping as normal and if you can't ask someone to do it for you, having 80 packs of bog roll under the stairs is not going to save anyone is it so I do wonder what goes on in some peoples heads at a time like this..
  18. The rate things are going in the shops I will have to learn to survive without some things... like food for example
  19. I was in a shop yesterday when a bloke at the next till was talking about toilet rolls and the girl behind the till said that they had restricted people from buying in bulk now and when he asked what the limit was she said no more than 10 packs per person... I did say why not limit it to one pack per person??? she couldn't answer that.. Does it really take all that much brain power to work out that for every 10 packs one person is getting that 9 other people/families are missing out because of that reckless mentality... The government have said they would consider rationing if people did not start being sensible and giving consideration to others but how about putting that responsibility on to the retailers?? Just been over the shop a minute ago and the toilet roll section is cleaned out already..
  20. I went out to buy 10 jars of it this morning but those greedy buggers have cleaned the shelves out already.... Talking of which my son sent me a picture of the produce aisle in Asda this morning... it was a wasteland of empty crates, not so much as a lettuce leaf on show..
