Bordeaux of yesteryear, in particular their youth academy was something else. Nowadays, they’re a shadow of those times.

Established in 1899 Marseille is a club with a history of sublime players and ridiculous owners and scandals. It's a club with fans who famously once played the sound of goat recordings from the stands at the Velodrome in protest to the awful running of the club. The very same fans who once played the Benny Hill music whenever our players had the ball to denote how terrible they were. And yes, the same clubs fans who told Patrice Evra to fuck off for being a lazy donkey ... who promptly round house kicked one of our fans. This is Marseille.

Actually, when you look at his time in Spain, for every succession of games he was able to play, it was followed by a stint out injured. He’s now managing about 2 games and then an injury. To me something isn’t right with his body or how it’s being looked after for this to be so recurrent
