  1. French league, Algerian, called Ryad (close enough)? £8.5mil is a snip
  2. Yeah I'm not a huge fan of it to be honest. I'd imagine they will get a few youngsters on loan from us and we'll get first dibs on anyone they have that's any good, with an annual friendly or something. I will go away there if there is a friendly.
  3. Officially confirmed that King Power have bought OH Leuven of Belgium's 2nd tier. It's likely that we will end up in some kind of feeder club partnership with them.
  4. No he's just showing himself up to be arrogant as per usual. It's a total myth that us or Chelsea are bad to watch and a myth that Arsenal are that great to watch nowadays either. We defended when we had to? What a crime against football that is.
  5. that is absolutely brilliant. But he's done it facing the bloody West Stand. It'll be upside down on TV.
  6. It's a shame really because he was absolutely great once upon a time. Now he's going to be remembered as much for this last few years as anything else.
  7. Beat me to posting that. Sums up how arrogant he is.
  8. I don't think that's a bad shout actually. Reminds me of one of my older ones - Ronaldo was a far more entertaining player at Man Utd. Nowadays he's a master of efficiency, at Man Utd he was both effective (though not quite so much) and massively entertaining to watch.
  9. Superb summary on Leicester this is. Explanation of why Ranieri failed this year.
  10. Nicely put and I agree. It's actually turned into quite a good season for us. I think we will probably come 9th or 10th because of who our last three games are. We'll do well to beat Spurs or Man City (although we don't have too bad records against either) but I'd imagine we'll beat Bournemouth (ironically a bit of a bogey team). Would be quite the miracle if someone managed to stop Stoke coming 9th. They've done it the last three years.
  11. The Premier League is no stronger this season than last season. If it is then it's absolutely marginal. The fact sides like West Brom, Watford and Stoke have been safe for weeks is testament to that. I think the top six has gotten a bit stronger but not significantly, and I think the rest have gotten weaker. Chelsea, Liverpool and Spurs are the only teams I could confidently say are better than they were last year. EDIT: And Everton.
  12. Could say it for a lot of players but he'd flourish in a better side. He above all misses Kante on the pitch.
  13. I think I'd cash in on Mahrez now. He's had a disappointing follow up season to last year and if someone will still pay decent money for him then let him go. I think he wants to go to be honest. In other news, one of our owners (the son) is set to step down and buy OH-Leuven of Belgium - with the intention of building them a new stadium, proving a bigger transfer budget and attempting to get them into Europe, as well as loaning players off us. Unsure what to make to it really.
  14. Dan

    What are you listening to?

Agree fully. Nowadays most songs I hear on the radio range somewhere between crap and tolerable, but I genuinely really like this one. Can't even explain why.
  15. Signed a new contract in the summer yet has gotten a new agent amid speculation linking him with Man Utd? Yeah, he's off.
  16. To be fair Napoli are a bit of a rare case. They're quite anti-Italian aren't they?
  17. I'd like to see some movement towards that for sure. Don't think you could get away with making it many straight away though, would send the league mental. It would undoubtedly help the national team and I think eventually the standard would improve again after an initial fall.
  18. Arsenal Fan TV has had its day.
  19. https://www.telegraph.co.uk/football/2017/04/24/leicester-city-manager-craigshakespeare-insists-club-can-keep/ Looks more and more like it could be Shakespeare getting it permanently. I'll be really intrigued to see what he does next year. It's a gamble I'd happily see us take.
  20. He's making the right noises in the media and making the right moves on the pitch. He's not been faultless, but there's obviously a big talent there and I expect him to have a very strong year next time out. I hope there's something behind what he's saying as well. We'd do well to hold onto the likes of Schmeichel now.
  21. I am genuinely on a par with Merson when it comes to things like this. I jinx absolutely everything.
  22. Messi is the better footballer but Ronaldo is seriously starting to push him I think in terms of winning things. He's delivering in more big moments than Messi is lately.
  23. Ibrahimovic's injury will be a blessing in disguise.
  24. I agree it would be not bad, although I'm personally quite ambitious, and would like to see us gunning for the Europa. That could change based on how we finish this season. I mean we aren't even safe yet, but I see West Brom in 8th and I don't think they're uncatchable for us at all.
