  1. Said the same after both. Absolutely infuriating that he's missed those two, I'd imagine those scenarios were the exact kind of game he'd have come on for. Doesn't get any easier for us with Chelsea next, can see another narrow loss to be honest, but Huddersfield I fancy us to get something at. I think they've done very well but they aren't THAT good.
  2. Think he's struggled a little in all honesty although considering he was out that long he hasn't done too badly. Think we really do need Iborra/Drinkwater back.
  3. This may or may not be unpopular but Eric Bailly is the best defender in the league.
  4. That only works if you're properly coached. We were the total opposite in 2016, an awfully coached side with players who weren't great, although still better than they showed. Very happy for Maguire. Didn't expect him to get in this soon but by all accounts he was very impressive at Hull and it's not hard to see why. Looks like he could be a quality signing.
  5. Your hate just makes us stronger!!! We will go up and there's nothing any of you can do about it!!!
  6. And me. At least Jordan seemingly has some credentials though.
  7. 6-1 is absolutely dismal from Orient. Billericay won 1-2 at Lowestoft. The more I see of their owner the more I hope, and expect it go to massively tits up. He's a mouthy deluded arsehole.
  8. Heard an interview with Billericay's chairman / manager (say no more) earlier and thought he came across as massively up his own arse.

    Tips & Bets 365

Chelsea cost me £109 today. Had them, Lille and Leeds (assuming Leeds hang on here which I'm 95% sure they will).
  10. "Premier League experience" is the single most overhyped premium in the market.
  11. If he's anything like he is on FM then this is the bargain buy of the summer.
  12. We've lost there a couple of times haha. It came up on my Youtube that it was being streamed. Didn't actually see it though. Can never read too much into actual results in pre-season.
  13. You're being a bit harsh. I'd definitely have more faith in Brentford to go up this season than Sunderland.

    The Holiday Thread

Went to Hurdlow in Derbyshire for a weekend in March and last weekend did my annual family weekend in Skegness, showing my true East Midlands colours Off to Benidorm for a week in a months time with one group of mates and off to Lanzarote in September for a week with another. Can't see myself doing two different week long holidays for a while after these as I need to start putting a bit of money aside.
  15. We are definitely looking to expand our ground. We've been in consultation with the same bloke who's designing Everton's new ground. The plan is to add another 10,000 seats onto the East Stand so it'll hold 42,000+. Would be a great move for us I think. Sold out pretty much every game since we've come up (granted what's happened has helped) and I've always said there is potential here, county of a million people with very little competition. Get it done.
  16. Don't really get this "gone by Christmas" rhetoric. It's as if people are pretending we weren't one of the form teams of the league under him.
  17. Surprised me too although there are apparently a few issues at Oxford. Worked with Shakespeare before and was quoted as saying his contacts at Leicester helped us get them in a friendly last year.
  18. If England fans hadn't celebrated that goal they'd be getting comments of "never happy" etc... England fans can't win no matter what they do. We celebrated a last minute equaliser just like every team in the world would? So say Scotland had gone away to, I don't know, Latvia, gone ahead, then gone behind with two late Latvia goals and then equalised in injury time, they wouldn't have celebrated? It's not like we're particularly proud of it. We won't bang on about it such as say, Scotland would whenever England get knocked out of a tournament.
  19. Because we know we're absolute rubbish. The vast majority of English football fans are totally disillusioned with the national side and some to the extent they've lost interest in it. That result doesn't change that for us. As an isolated game we have saved ourselves from being on the end of stick from you lot. How exactly are we meant to react? The two aren't mutually exclusive. We know we're crap but it isn't impossible to have a little giggle at you at the same time. No matter how bad we are you're always worse.
  20. In anyone's experience. This lot bought Iceland shirts last year. It's a good rivalry but it definitely means more to them. We didn't celebrate a draw, we celebrated robbing them of their biggest win in years.
  21. It's pointless comparing England and Germany. We're probably half way between Germany and Scotland in terms of quality. England fans generally can't win whatever they do or say.
  22. I don't know why Gibson didn't get a single minute.
  23. I haven't got a clue why anyone would. Have never ever got this mindset you're meant to support the English team.
