Couldn't agree more, the first two seemed to have more storylines to them the third was just overkill on the fight scenes.
-
Yeah will give that a look tomorrow night when we have a break from the football. Cheers John. Loved the John Wick movies, brilliant. As for good Liam Neeson movies we enjoyed the Grey, brilliant film if you haven't seen it.

Been on a bit of a movie marathon of late. All movies I've seen before but rewatched for various reasons. Meet Joe Black 7/10 (wife wanted to watch it) Brad Pitt movie, bit slow but decent enough storyline about death wanting to feel what life is like. Pretty Women 7/10 (wife wanted to watch it) Don't think I need to explain this one, still don't know how people can find a rich man falling for a low grade street prostitute romantic. Why wouldn't he go higher end. John Wick 9/10 Absolutely love this movie, love it when it dawns on the gang that they've killed John Wicks dog. They unleashed the devil. Taken 10/10 Can watch this series of films over and over. Amazing movie. The Inbetweeners 5/10 Funny but not a scratch on the TV series.

Got a holiday booked for August which we 100% know we won't be going to but my money is tied up until they either cancel the flights or the government change the system to allow travel to other countries. Once they do that they will exchange the destination free of charge. I'm due my second jab on July 10th so hopefully the new rules will kick in and double jabbed travellers won't need to isolate for 10 days in an Amber country.

It's good, we enjoyed it to be fair.

Luca Disney movie with my youngest daughter, streaming on Disney+ now. Basically a movie about sea monsters who live in an Italian fishing port, when they leave the sea they turn human but turn back the moment water touches any body part. The story follows two boy monsters who dream of walk with the humans and love all things human. They are desperate to win a local race in order to win prize money to buy themselves a Vespa so that they can travel the world. The whole film is based around acceptance and in true Disney fashion it delivers. It also has the usual tear jerking ending. 8/10

Back in work tomorrow, actually can't wait to get back to my desk First six days were horrendous to be fair but glad I'm not over the worst of it. The loss of taste is an absolute mind fuck in truth, I've just had pesto pasta the last two nights because it just seems pointless going to too much effort when I can't really appreciate anything I'm eating. No idea how long this symptom will last but I just wish my taste would come back.

Big Stan Comedy about a real estate agent who gets convicted of fraud and has to serve 3 years in prison. Stan decides to learn Martial Arts to prevent any possibility of being raped inside. Funny film, Rob Schneider did some really funny stuff in the 90s and eary 2000's 7/10

Sir Alex Ferguson, Never give in Don't think it's a surprise I was gripped to this. Even though I've read his autobiography it still makes his achievements even more incredible when you see them on screen. You could argue taking Aberdeen to three league titles and a Cup winners cup was just as big if not bigger achievement than what he did for United. Beating Munich and Madrid to win the Cup was incredible with a club that trained on a park and on the beach!!! It also touches on the Brain Hemorrhage that nearly cost him his life in 2018 and how he feared he'd lose his memory. 10/10

Thanks. Only got a few days left of isolation, been a rough few days to be fair but slowly getting there. Had the NHS on yesterday confirming it is the Indian Variant that I have and they kept me on the phone for about 30 minutes grilling me with questions.

You sometimes unearth gems. The Platform was brilliant, The Escorts was terrible.
-
The Escorts Weirdly this movie has a different name on Amazon prime to IMDB, on IMDB its called Amateur Night. Basically Jason Biggs (American Pie) plays a down in his luck architect who's wife is heavily pregnant and due to burst at any time. Unfortunately due to his unemployment he can't afford his medical insurance so is forced to take the first job he could find on Craigslist. What he didn't know was the delivery driving job he thought he was doing was actually delivering prostitutes to various different locations. This was sort of supposed to be a comedy but got lost somewhere between that and soft pornography. 4/10

Have you seen it? I agree it's absolutely insane!

The Platform Spanish film which I watched in English dub on Netflix, basically a prison with 300 plus floors with one cell per floor with two occupants. In the centre of the cell is a hole that leads down from the top of the building to the bottom floor. Food comes down on a lift from top to bottom with each floor getting 2 minutes to eat as much as they can. So basically if your on floor 1 you get first dibs but if your beyond 50 your basically going to starve. At the end of each month the room is filled with gas and the inmates are moved to a different random floor. This often leads to suicides when some realise they are on a floor they won't eat on. It also leads to canabalism running rife in the prison as well. Actually total mindfuck of a film, gripped me from start to finish. 8/10

Cheers pal, Got both to be fair, will keep you posted on what I watch.

Thanks guys, went through a night from hell last night but currently dosed up on paracetamol and ibuprofen.

Superbad As I've mentioned in the Covid thread I've currently got Covid so I'm self isolating for the next 8 days. So basically I'm gonna kill off Netflix in between doing some DIY around the house. Love Superbad, so fucking stupid and funny. Mclovin steals the movie for me. 8/10

Started to feel dodgy late Monday night but still went into my office yesterday but noticed I was getting a gradual cough and just generally felt a bit shit. Booked a test for 1pm at Manchester Airport and thought it would be the usual negative result within 24 hours. Anyway last night has a terrible sleep, fever the works, crazy dream about me looking a my own dead body in A&E. So vivid! Only woke up to a positive fucking result!! Feel terrible as well.

No I agree, Ole isn't likely going anywhere. Then we are destined for mediocrity.
-
If I'm honest Sevilla last season and Villarreal this season really sit heavy in my head. The lack of responsiveness in both games is frightening. If we stood a chance of getting Conte I'd be inclined to let Ole go, he's done the dogs work getting rid of a lot of the deadwood, we need this window and a big push. I'm not sure he's got the passion or managerial knowhow to do it. I'm on the fence still I'm afraid, in my heart of hearts it says unless there is a better man available then we keep Ole but if an opportunity like a Conte was to present itself then I'd go for it. They only have a year to pay up on Ole's contract if they did decide to do that.

Ultimately it's just a stadium that you sit in and watch football but yeah I suppose if you are going to judge it against the new modern stadium it's a bit of a dinosaur. The clubs a mess behind the scenes if were totally honest, people see us spending big on transfers but the don't realise the neglect of other parts of the club. Reality is we should have one of the best stadiums on the planet and we should be even more competitive in the transfer market but we still have to pay off debt and we will still need to pay the Glazers what they want to take out of the club.

Expensive, very expensive.

My favourite was When Saturday comes, Sean Bean goes from Saturday league to Sheffield United first team squad against United. He does this whilst still going on the piss etc.. So unrealistic but I'd say its the best of a bad bunch.
