  1. Did you edit any of the controller settings? They had so many different sliders for the controller that besides some of the obvious stuff I felt like I had to sort of guess what else I needed to edit. I've still got the game, I'll mess around with the settings this weekend and give it a second chance. Err... am I Mike? Haha. I think F1 2016 was such a huge improvement over 2015 - I'm looking forward to the new one.
  2. I could never get to grips with the controls of Project CARS on a controller (I've got an Xbox though - don't know if that makes a difference... but I can't imagine it would). I heard the career mode for it is fantastic. But because I couldn't get the controls to work right, I've been more of a Forza/F1 2016 kind of guy.

I found them on reddit recently, they're definitely excellent composition wise. Very cool you're friends with them!
  4. I still can't get over how much of a cunt Perez was to Ocon (and Force India).
  5. Rocket League for the Switch with cross-platform play is going to be cool as well. Rocket League is probably the multiplayer game I've played the most of since I bought it, and if I can play that on the go... well that's fantastic.
  6. I want an old school Metroid game! 2d Metroidvania games were so fucking cool - I wish they were still a thing. But yeah, a new Metroid Prime seems pretty good. I don't know if it's nostalgia, but I think a new Kirby game will be cool. I haven't played one of them in a very long time. Between that and the Mario Odyssey coming out, and the fact that I'm still nowhere near beating Breath of the Wild because I got sidetracked by Mario Kart & Street Fighter 2's remaster (which is fucking sweet btw, if you liked that game on the SNES). Pretty happy with my Switch purchase

It's tough to say - I've been given a job offer (to a job I forgot I applied and interviewed to, months ago) and it's pretty decent. And I told them I'd need them time to think about it because I'd have to figure out a whole lot of shite, so they've given me about 3 months (90 days) - which I think indicates they want me. I don't know if in the future they'd want to give me the same offer I'd turned down. I'm very conflicted. As is my girlfriend, although she seems willing to move. But would she need a visa or any of that shite? Probably, right? That would be my assumption at least. Does that mean I'd have to propose sooner rather than later to get her a visa? I was planning on proposing sometime soon, but maybe now is the time to do it? There's also this thing I've found, which also has me not too happy about the idea of living in London: Consumer Prices in London are 8.22% higher than in San Diego, CA Consumer Prices Including Rent in London are 11.29% higher than in San Diego, CA Rent Prices in London are 15.44% higher than in San Diego, CA Restaurant Prices in London are 15.36% higher than in San Diego, CA Groceries Prices in London are 20.71% lower than in San Diego, CA Local Purchasing Power in London is 37.00% lower than in San Diego, CA https://www.numbeo.com/cost-of-living/compare_cities.jsp?country1=United+States&country2=United+Kingdom&city1=San+Diego%2C+CA&city2=London&tracking=getDispatchComparison But for as much as I like San Diego... it would be nice to be significantly closer to home instead of the ridiculous distance I'm at right now. Lol I hope no IT people can check wtf I'm doing at work though posting about this. Although it would make my choice a lot easier if I lost my job here

Yeah, mate gotta do one of those... but I think it'll take a pretty long time to figure all of the pros and cons. I'm lucky in that I've got a few months to make the decision and I don't have to do it right away. But it's fairly fucking complicated because either I'll be asking my girlfriend to move with me (and that's a big ask) or we'll end up breaking up - and that's a bit shit. I also like my job here and I like living here, it's like very fucking pleasant. But I also do miss being like... around family and friends I've known my whole life. Although if I'm living in London, I don't think I'd be seeing them that much anyways. I also don't like London that much. It's a pretty tough call and I don't really want to make it.... although it looks like I just rambled some pros and cons just there San Diego, CA - it's pretty fantastic in all honesty.

I have to make the hardest decision I've had to make in a long time (if not ever). Going to have to decide if I'll stay here or move back to England... Very tough call.
  10. Shola plays for Botts County with player-manager Kevin Nolan and Newcastle legend Alan Smith. And they play in black and white and call themselves the magpies... The legacy lives! How did you lot like Gini Wijnaldum? I think he plays a bit deeper for us than he did for you... but I'm pretty impressed with his first season. He's very well rounded, works hard, has barely ever had a bad game, and he's had a few important goals for us. Imo he's a pretty underated player & he does all of the things Joe Allen did playing well, but is more physical and imo a better player overall. But didn't he lose his place under Rafa? Agent Rafa has now given us Sturridge and Gini at pretty decent prices I'd say.
  11. It's looking like a real shame for us on the pitch we didn't follow the rules re: VvD. Klopp and him had talks including video on how we would set up defensively and the predicted impact he'd have on the team - very specific planning for why the move was good for the club and the player. It reminds me of Rafa Benitez's recruitment of Mascherano - very specific tactical roles were explained to him to show how the player would be a major part of the midfield and essentially how he would be key to not only his area of the pitch but the whole side. That convinced Mascherano to join... and it looks like we very nearly could have had VvD with similar recruitment, but for arrogance and stupidity. What a shame, cuz if VvD had anywhere near of an impact as Masch did he would be a fucking amazing signing.

I play mine almost every day, but yeah I'd like a stand.

Haha I only put it there to show it here, I keep it in a gig bag most of the time. What stand do you use that fits a Rhoads? I've got a stand for my Les Paul knockoff but it doesn't fit my Jackson.

Jackson RRXT. Not the most high end, but still a fucking fantastic guitar. Hardtail (I want a Floyd rose though too) and only 21 frets. Still the comfiest neck for my hands. The pickups I was expecting to be shite but they're actually decent. Also playing through a 6505 (the 112 50watt combo)! Good taste in axes and amps my friend!
  15. Hard to really justify for LFC... generally when we miss our top targets we buy overpriced shite to fill the gap - which often ends up being overpriced shite. I have lots of faith in Klopp. But I don't have a whole lot of faith in our recruitment team, especially when it's headed up by a novice. I worry that beyond our top targets, we've got a shortlist of dross.

That's cool - what guitars do you have? I've got a Jackson Rhoads which is pretty fucking nice - I want to get a nice Ibanez Premium RG at some point too in the near future too. One without the single coil in the middle because: 1.) fuck single coils, 2.) every guitar I've had with a middle pickup gets in the way of my pick. While we're on classics, here's some Carcass.
  17. Our media leaks rarely ever work out to our advantage. Instead we learn we were interested in someone very good... and then we piss off the selling club and they move to a rival. Don't see how that's any benefit to the club or the fans, tbh... though it's probably good for shite sports journos getting clicks to their stories.
  18. I'm not so sure. Our club's cozy relationship with so many sports journos seems to be a major part of what got us into this mess.
  19. Our Technical Director Michael Edwards looks like he might be catching some heat from our Board. With Ayre gone, Edwards got an internal promotion from being a recruitment analyst (he was instrumental in picking Sturridge, Coutinho, and Firmino) to take over the role of negotiating main transfers. John Henry had to personally be involved with the apology to Southampton - and Edwards is essentially now having his position reviewed because the transfer window hasn't even really opened and we've already cost ourselves our top target for the summer.

I hate new Slayer, but they were pretty fucking solid for a very long time. Still good live too, even though it's really only half of Slayer.

    Smoking

I used to smoke a lot. Now I only smoke when I'm very drunk... I don't know if that counts as social smoking.
