When I was around 15, there was a family next door with a daughter who must have been around 11 or 12 at the time. Often when I was in the garden playing football with my brother she'd sit in her bedroom window and watch us. She spoke to us sometimes when she was in her garden, but she was a pretty weird girl and we didn't really talk back much. Anyway, one night (it may have happened more than once actually, I'm not sure) when she was sat in her window, she pulled her pants down and showed us. Our reaction was "ok, weirdo, don't give her attention". We found out a year or two later that her dad had been raping her for years. It explains why her dad screamed at me so aggressively when I jumped over the fence to get our ball back one night. I feel sick just thinking about it.

Other countries don't exist to be useful to the UK...that's a bizarre way of thinking. Just because you can't fathom how people can care about people from another country, it doesn't mean they're faking it to "look like great humanitarians". Also, why the random insult about Bristol? You know nothing about Bristol.

My parents were the same, always wanted to go somewhere but always had to spend money on other things. They left the UK for the first time this year because we (the 6 kids) pretty much forced them to. We all put together to get them passports and pay for a week in Majorca. They were unsure about it, questioned whether it was worth it, said it was a lot of money to spend on something that would be over after a week, but when they got back they wouldn't shut up about it they genuinely loved it, they were like excited children at Christmas. It felt like the roles were reversed seeing them like that, they were adorable

Marseille spent all day trying to sign Valentin Rongier after selling Luiz Gustavo to Fenerbahçe, in the last half hour of the window we've gone from "the clubs are finally in agreement" to "it's not happening, not even in the joker window". The Nantes owner wanted a 50% sell on clause. Rongier's gonna be pissed off. He had his heart set on this move. Thoughts @Batard ?
