Family got a private beach house for Labor Day here (Sept 4), so we will be heading up the Friday before, and staying there for 5 days.

Wow - part of me always wanted to do a trip like this. I'm sure there are spells in the middle (or the end) when you just crave privacy, but the experience looks fantastic.

I think SPA has pretty intense elevation change combined with tricky corners. @nudge will surely correct me if I'm mistaken.

Nice place to vent, fume, share good/sad news, and vent about your boss to complete strangers. So, I had a few interviews a couple of weeks ago, and I ended up making it to the last round before being told I didn't get the job. No biggy really as I enjoy my job now, however I do need a new one. (long story but bascially my boss, who happens to be my father-in-law, bought a beach house, doesn't work anymore, and then just told me that he is done working and wants to sell.) Anyways, I have started to improve my networking, keeping up with old colleagues that I rather had good relationships with and just basically keep in touch. Well, I got a message from a guy I used to world alongside with when I was at Dell Secureworks, and turns out the company he works for is hiring a Cyber Security Engineer for the Sourtheast. It's mostly cloud based security (which isn't my forte, but I'm learning more and more about it and it's where the future is), and so the company actually reached out to me regarding an interview, which is supposed to take place today. I've been doing some reviewing of the job description, and just shoring up my cloud security lingo, however, this morning I had to send them an email and just let them know that this interview, which is to take place via Zoom, will have to be taken by me in a cafe, as my dog literately broke my internet. I sent the below email off to the HR lady who has been setting up the interview, and already I have gotten a reply from her and the hiring manager saying how much they laughed at my email, and the hiring manager mentioned that with COVID, taking my interview in a cafe is not a problem. Also, before today, I had never heard from the hiring manager regarding this position.

Who said anything about college? And as long as your use your disabilities to hold you back, then you'll never overcome it. I have known people much further on the spectrum who have done great things and made a living for themselves, the major difference is they didn't use it as a crutch. Just my two cents. And I can't help but think that when you say non-profit, you just mean they didn't make any money, which in terms of business, is VERY different from being non-profit.

So much about this post doesn't compute. How many careers/jobs/businesses have you started now? Can you honest say that you have learned anything considering I'm assuming they all failed based on you not doing them anymore? If you are seriously going to start a business (and actually stick to it), I'm sorry to say that you have a tough road ahead of you.

Lawrence of Arabia (1962) I've been wanting to watch this movie for a long time, and finally had the 4 hours needed to watch the entire film. Really good film, although the main character, Lawrence, does come off as a bit flimsy at the beginning and rather annoying. His transition after all the events on his journey throughout Arabia certainly is wonderfully done and keeps your attention. I feel like I could write pages about this movie, but I'm exhausted, but there are so many iconic scenes that just makes this a wonderful film. 9.5/10

I was under the impression that Kane and JT signed 10.5/m contracts, but the cap hit was something like 7 or so for the first few years. I might be off, again, contracts in the NHL aren't my specialty.

Keith's cap hit is 5.5m, Seebs is 6.8m I understand the reasoning behind it, and don't think anything should be different. The way they structured Kane and Toews deals to take more of a cap hit later on made since with the contracts we had at the time. It's hard to imagine Seebs coming back after all the surgeries and injuries he's suffered from recently. As for Favorite Hawks, it's got to Hoss for me. Absolutely loved him when we was in Atlanta and then again with the Hawks.

Geez - the NHL contracts have always escaped me. So we are on the hook for Keith's contract until he is 40? Seabs until he is 39? We signed some pretty extensive contracts then.
