  1. I'm not a major gamer, but was big back in the day. My buddy informed me that Starcraft is now available online for free, so I have played that for a few rounds and it's massively nostalgic. I do play A LOT of chess online though, and have been spending more time on Twitch watching some of my favorite chess players. I don't really understand why, but watching people play chess, talking about it, listening to music, drinking, etc, is something I could watch for HOURS.
  2. I have heard from multiple people that Guiness doesn't travel well. I'm not a fan of it here, but it's odd how that can happen with beers.
  3. Holy smokes man...his story, plus that movie, are likely to be absolutely brilliant.
  4. Is this based on a true story?
  5. Ah - funny enough, their is one grocery store that does this, Aldi, and they are from Sweden. Otherwise, that is a very foreign concept in America but genius really when you consider the amount of time and effort stores put in gathering up all of their carts in the parking lot.
  6. I also like to drink Warsteiner, particularly while watching the Bundesliga. Dunkel, Lager, doesn't matter as I find it rather tasty.
  7. I have never had it, but I'll check it out and grab a pack next time I find it.
  8. I have never been able to get into Heinekin. Dos Equis is one I can get behind, for sure. Sol and DE are similar to me, and typically Sol is cheaper here so I just gave a case of that and I'm on my way.
  9. That's not too bad really. I'm surprised Union Berlin and others are that much now that I have something to compare them to.
  10. Fair enough. See I find Carta Blanca a bland beer, but if the minute Sol touches my lips, I know it's either time to relax and enjoy life. It's my 'go to beer' that I always have in the fridge, and man it's heavenly for a go to beer.
  11. Eintracht Braunschweig are much cheaper I see. 67 Euros /year.
  12. Holy shit - Union Berlin is 120 euro a year Can't even find how much one for Eintracht Frankfurt is...but I am going to assume it's expensive as hell.
  13. Idk...I think their are situations for all kinds of beer. Give me a stout in the winter, and give me a Bud/Coors Light in the Hot Summer. Although for 'basic' light beer, nothing beats Sol. My god it's heavenly.
  14. I get it as I read your post. I was just comparing them as Kolsch is very light and taste similar to water, yet is a German beer.
  15. I dont mind them either. But after the meme of American beer tasting like water, I figured it was all too easy.
  16. Ha - the truth hurts It's not a bad drink as sometimes a light, crisp, easy drink it was the occasion calls for. But it's similar to some generic American beers in ABV and taste profile, just with a different strand of yeast.
  17. Says the guy from the country of the Kolsch, which is basically water.
  18. Perfect - thanks. In the chart I posted, it had Eintracht Braunschweig at less than 5k, but this one has over 5k which is nice to see.
  19. How much a year is it for Saarbrucken's membership?
  20. Damn - I found this online which shows 'roughly' the same numbers.
  21. I did hear that RB Leipzig has a ridiculous fee which is why their aren't that many memberships sold and how they remain the 50+1 rule. I also couldn't find a Membership chart for 2. Bundesliga, which I imagine would be dominated by HSV and Stuttgart, but who knows. Question: What is the difference between the two levels? What do you get out of the membership as someone who isn't local anymore other than just knowing that you are part of the club and are helping to support it? This concept of membership is just so foreign to the states.
  22. Okay - so I feel like their are some major cities that don't seem to have a decent club. You have Essen (where my wife lived) which is a decent sized city but I think their best team plays in Regionaliga. I spent some time in Bonn, but they don't have a professional team yet are a decent sized club. Yet their are teams like Paderborn which has such a low population and are in the Bundesliga. I was also surprised how many Union Berlin have. I love their fan base, just didn't know it was that many paying fans. Are you a member of Fortuna?
