  1. I'm really surprised at Wolves. Based on highlights, they just look a bit lost defensively. Very open, and not really any organisation. I thought O'Neil would be alright there but that points return is shocking. Doesn't get any easier after the break either as they have Man City. Palace will be fine eventually I think. Think they'll hover just above relegation zone and then kick on. I can see Everton picking up some points in their next few games. Liverpool/Arsenal/Chelsea/Man City all in Dec though

  4. Week 9 Results Coventry 1-2 Sheff Weds Lille 2-1 Toulouse Schalke 2-2 Hertha Berlin Toronto 0-1 Inter Miami Juventus 1-1 Cagliari Anderlecht 3-0 Standard Liege Aberdeen 3-2 Hearts Bristol City 1-1 Cardiff Feyenoord 2-1 Twente Sevilla 1-0 Real Betis Round-up Several last-minute actions throughout this week - three of the four Saturday games had last-minute winners as Sheff Weds, Lille and Inter Miami all went home with 3 points after goals in stoppage-time. Aberdeen followed suit on Sunday afternoon, whilst Sevilla ended the week with a huge win over their city rivals. Most of the talk in this league though was at the top of the table - top 3 scorers were all in the hunt for the title. To begin with, @Tommy top-scored with 19 points and that took him into 4th. Just ahead, @6666 went into 3rd with 18 points, and he is now level on 121 points with @Viva la FCB, who lost the lead to @RandoEFC. The gap between all 4 - just three points! @Rucksackfranzose and @Azeem still actually aren't far away despite being 5th and 6th. This season continues to be the most open of all with 6 contenders in place to finish 1st, even this early on. Special mentions also to @CaaC (John) for being the only one to predict Juventus' 1-1 draw with Cagliari, and @Coma who was the only one to predict Aberdeen 3-2 Hearts. Everyone scored double-digits, and all but one of us got at least one Perfect Score. Nothing more to say...
  5. Another international break disrupts the PL season just as it starts to get into its flow again. @Dan holds on to his 6 point lead as he, @6666 and @CaaC (John) all score 12 points each. @Lucas and @Storts exchange places, but the star of the week is quite clearly @Bluewolf. He scored a big 19 points to take him from 10th to 7th, and astonishingly was the only player to get a perfect score out of everyone this weekend. That pick was included his own team, as Chelsea drew 1-1 with Nottm Forest. Only 6 points difference between 4th and 10th!
  6. Apologies for the delay in getting this week's table out from last weekend's fixtures. @Dan holds a somewhat comfortable lead and is the first to break into triple-figures. @6666 and @CaaC (John) were both the top scorers with 17 points, and they now occupy 2nd and 3rd place respectively. The latter was the only one who got more than 1 perfect score. Small gaps appearing across the table, but only 7 points separate 4th and 8th place in the mid-table pack. @Pep Talk is off the bottom and into 12th.
  7. So how has Burn fouled him? He's got in-front of Calvert-Lewin, so how has he then fouled him?
  8. But Calvert-Lewin has kicked Burn. Not the other way round?
  9. How has he brought down the attacker though? He's put his leg in front of the Calvert-Lewin who has then kicked him? It's similar to fouls in other parts of the pitch. Player gets the legs and body between the ball and the other player. Other player comes through and tries to get the ball, but doesn't, and tackles/fouls the player instead.
  10. Darren Bond is a shit ref. This wasn't given as a penalty
  11. Comfortable first half. Scrappy second half when it didn't need to be. It's a much-needed win and clean sheet but I'm still nowhere near convinced on Cooper. Bournemouth had an off day, expected more from them after their convincing win over Saints. Buonanotte is a decent player. Looks to be very creative and just the kind of player we need. But Cooper still insists on using players like Reid, Soumare and Edouard. Embarrassing.
  12. Must win for us. Start of a run against relatively 'easier' teams, albeit Bournemouth are a decent outfit these days. Have to get that win sooner rather than later though.

  16. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c8djymm9qq1o If anyone saw it live, it comes as no surprise. Officials even refused to look at Beck's back straight after it happened after he clearly tells them he's been bitten.
  17. Great going @OrangeKhrush. Gonna be tough to claw back and overturn 16 points with only a few races left.
