  1. As much as it would be common sense to do so, it's not compulsory to wear a mask outdoors yet so they're probably just taking advantage of that.
  2. Shaqiri has now tested negative. Going to Spain to re-join Swiss squad.

    Nice. Good luck!
  4. I don't think there is. Starmer asked for evidence of the 10pm curfew to be published and on what scientific grounds was it imposed, and I guess as a result of that will be the results of how effective it has been. Not very, I'd imagine, considering they're thinking about further lockdowns and restrictions in the north, which I think is grossly unfair. I think I read the other day that Boris' own constituency (Uxbridge) has a higher infection rate than those that have been in lockdown throughout summer, yet that have been no further restrictions placed there. As @The Artful Dodger says, it is wholly political and I don't get what Tories gain out of this other than further hatred and resentment back on them. The decisions don't make sense outside of the political alignment.
  5. Did anyone come flying out of the blocks last night? I'd have love to be a fly on the wall to hear what was said after the debate.
  6. Been out quite a few times and mask-wearing is quite prevalent. From what I've seen, most are compliant. My observation being that majority of those that aren't compliant are black people. I think I mentioned a few weeks ago after going to Reading or Westfield (can't remember which) but it was noticeably black people (male & female) who weren't wearing masks. And to me, this was odd given the well-documented threat of COVID to the health of BAME people. Of course they may all have their own legitimate reasons as to why they shouldn't wear a mask, but I very much doubt 100% of these people seen all fell in to that category. Additionally, I still can't fathom why people wear a mask but don't cover their nose with it. It literally is beyond any discernible logic to go the (minimal) effort to put the mask on but not cover one of the areas it needs to cover to be efficient. It's just stupidity in action. And from when I've been to pubs and restaurants there seems to be the required distancing between tables (I've never felt uncomfortable in them) and they've obliged with taking details of who's booked. Although the restaurant I went to must have breached some GDPR because it just looked like it was a notepad and it was names and mobile numbers. Anyone could have taken anyone else's - it was just there on the bar counter . Other places have it electronically. Some pubs I've been to have done table service and it's worked fine from my experience.

Bet that was very difficult for you
  8. Well as it stands, yes. He has to self-isolate for 14 days. You play Man City on 17th, which is within those 14 days. Unless the investigation proves otherwise, he'll be missing it...
  9. Beaten St Pauli 4-1 in a friendly. Chong and Sargent 2 of the scorers.
  10. Make that a 3-3 draw with Andorra scoring a last minute equaliser...
  11. Plot twist, he's been in it all the time and he is Jerry Quy.

Should have told her it's that glimmer of light that gives you and your team hope that the end of the shift is in sight...

Sounds like the issue originated in the despatch department
  14. @nudge doesn't swear much so when she does you know it's for something good or powerful! Wow.
  15. Seen so many similar comments. Seems like a signing in the mould of Stekelenburg or Robles. Lossl was adequate back-up in my opinion.
  16. I wonder if this affected any move for him yesterday...
  17. UK doing a pretty good job of it - more about the handling of COVID as opposed to mask-wearing.
  18. With it being all about power for Trump, it shows him in a light that he can overcome a virus that has killed 1m+ people so far.
  19. It is one of the most dangerous games he's playing right now. Scarily so. Already 200k+ deaths and his actions could pave the way for so many more...
  20. Same. Failing that, it is real, and he has benefitted from the immediacy of the best medical care someone could get in that situation. So no wonder he's recovered so quickly. I mean, why can't everyone else just jump on a helicopter and go to the best medical centre around at the drop of a hat? No wonder he's so boastful (unsurprisingly) at 'beating' it. If he truly does have it, we'll see how he is in the next few days when apparently the virus would have actually incubated within him and the initial cocktail of medication and steroids and pills wear off. What shocked me the other day is when the doctor doing the press conference outside the hospital couldn't say how much supplemental oxygen he was given. He's the doctor ffs. Surely it's something you'd know, how much treatment your patient, let alone the president (!), has been given in the past 12-24 hours. Otherwise how can a rational decision be made about what future medicine/treatment is to be given later that day for example?!
  21. Disgusting, yet wholly unsurprising. How has it come to this Can't wait to vote the fuckers out.
