And if you look at that move though - Shaqiri out, Havertz in - that's a massively huge improvement on what you can have in your side. And not only will it be an improvement on a hugely talented squad, but it sets the squad up to have a replacement if/when that explosive front 3 gets broken up and one (or more) of them leave/get injured long-term. To be honest, it doesn't even have to be spent on an 'elite' player. Just one that would be class enough to fit in and bolster that squad.

I think this is what @Rick is trying to say but @LFCMadLad sees it as an insult to Klopp or the club If you don't consistently evolve or improve on what you already have, you just become stagnant. But because none of us are involved with the club, we must not speak.

To be fair, I've seen De Bruyne do that a hell of a lot more this season. De Bruyne sometimes stands out like a sore thumb when it comes to that side. Tracks back so much more, gets tackles in and spreads the play with ease. His ability to pick a pass on any part of the pitch is just ridiculous. I agree football shouldn't just be about stats but the influence both have on their sides is pretty much the same.

Like Henderson is to get the ball, and give it to the front 3 Both players have been superb and both players have performed when it mattered. Both players very much work in the systems they're asked to flourish in.
