I agree how weird it is. That's one thing I've been pondering. Another thought is whether this was really a first time they did it or just the first time they got caught. Why start now in a game you'll surely lose anyway?

No way mate. Whatever suspension he gets has nothing on the reputational damage he's sustained. They are getting absolutely fucked on internally from every Aussie cricketer whos ever played the game. Particularly from those who had taken the moral high ground before when other counties did it whip now seem retrospectively hypocritical. Australian cricket will be reminded of this event anytime they ever complain about anything in future and thats on this current bunch of cricketers.

I Just finished season 1 of Shooter. Solid enjoyable engrossing show.

I just got up to speed with Designated Survivor, with Kiefer Sutherland as the US president. Really nice, solid show. A cross between 24 and the West Wing. Recommended.

If you’re asking about the tax climate you should stay in the US and vote republican! Seriously, I’ve never paid much attention to tax rates I’d assume its reasonable compared to other countries. Its less flat than the US so the more you earn the higher you’re income tax. Cigarettes are the most heavily taxed item but I don’t smoke. Scotch and coke type can drinks are also pretty exorbitant bu the rest of it is ok. Tanksie is right about property. We’re just coming into a buyers market. Prices have dropped maybe 5% in the past 6 months, and government changes to overseas buyers, increased interest rates to investors compared with owner occupiers, and moving towards a more transparent price advertisement process with the Statement of Information documents on very property ad have definitely tipped the scales towards the buyers. That said, prices are higher than they were 5 years ago, so it would still have been better to buy a few years back than to do so now. I’d say wait a couple more years to buy. If prices aren’t rising then no point paying 5% interest on a property that int rising in value. Keep saving more and buy a bit further towards the bottom of the market. Plenty of rental options available especially if you like inner city apartments in the major cities. There has been a huge boom of foreign investor driven apartment complexes where a lot of properties sit empty. They are talking about huge oversupply in that part of the market. Jobs it depends what you do. If you’re a barista I’d say its a good time to live in Australia. Gourmet eatery type places have taken off enormously in the past 5 years. Maccas and KFC type places revenue has actually declined in this period where people are moving towaards more posh type coffee shops with fancy food served on chopping boards instead of plates. Good coffee is at the centre of that revolution so los of opportunities for work, or even business opportunities if you find the right strip of shops that is lacking in decent coffee and have the capital to try something like that. This is the case not just in major cities. People expect to be able to find this type of ship in even small little towns.

I think its just that there are those who rate him very highly, and those who like what he could become, but aren’t sure he hasn’t had more than enough chances to become that at Liverpool.

Me neither. Still just showing flashes of potential and hasn't established himself as a rock solid first 11 player in a position in which we really don't have strong competition. I think this is similar to when we let Momo Sissoko leave to juve. Some felt it was a disaster but for me he had always been inconsistent and not an essential player.

Have watched Seasons 5 & 6 of SUITS. Seasons 1 & 2 of THE AMERICANS Both of these were great. The Cold War setting of the Americans is fascinating I'm surprised there's been no other shows delving into this period. Have also tried to watch 3 episodes of Outlander with the Mrs. Was told this was the most popular current show in the world behind game of thrones but I'm definitely not seeing it....

It's always interesting to keep an eye on things like this. Hidden vested interests on apparently authentic causes, and it being harder to seperate bullshit from truth.... The internet is such a cesspool now.... If the everyday world was as polluted as the virtual world you'd by wading through garbage to get to your letterbox and could leave your house without an oxygen mask..

I haven't seen one since the first avengers movie. I recently gave the daredevil tv show a go and found that a lot of fun. Better than the average marvel movie...
