I honestly thought the ending was epic. A massive and catastrophic way to end the season and leave you desperate for more.
-
He's yet to really make any significant positive contribution though. If he somehow takes Pike and brings the iron born to the party then his story will have been worth the screen time.
-
I can understand that to some extent but this is not a trend to be resisted. Its not a case of jumping on a bandwagon because others are. Its a show of scale and production value the likes of which tv has never seen before. It makes the Lord of the Rings look like the Faraway Tree. You just watch it and realise how epic it is. And then you're hooked.
-
My man. You honestly have one of the most amazing things ever sitting there undiscovered for when you're ready to give it a go.
-
I'm not sure how but I've sensed something special about Jon Snow honestly from the first episode of season 1. I need more episodes right now damnit.
-
I thought you meant the night king. He is now born into westeros... I seriously feel like I need to go and warn people that the wall has been breached.
-
Wonder if they'll slow it down. People cover half of Westeros in a episode. The Wight's could reach kings landing in episode one. P.s. right now Bran is the most important man in the seven kingdoms. He's the only one who saw what happened and lived and knows Jon is Azor Ahai.

Terrifying.

Shit. Fuck. Wow. Pretty much everything i expected to happen happened and yet i'm still speechless. Stellar episode. The lord of light must be on the side of the night king tho. Sending them on that mission made the wall come down. Fuck sake. The NK clearly knew they had dragons add thats why he let them wait it out for Daenyrys. The prick is one step ahead. How do you even kill a dragon Wight?

Why did LF kill Jon and frame the Lannisters if not to start a war? If starting a war was his aim then why not try and seal the deal with the assassin and by making sure Neds head is removed?
-
He tempted Lysa into killing Jon Arryn then instructed her to write to Kat claiming it was done by Lannisters. He (imo) sent the assassin with the dagger to kill Bran. He then claimed that the dagger was Tyrions. He then pretended to help Ned and earned his trust in KL but betrayed him at the critical moment as Ned believed he'd paid off the city watch to support him against Cersei. He was then (imo) the one that tempted Joffrey into beheading Ned. He started the war of the 5 kings. He is now planning the seed to Arya that Sansa is out to get Jon, and planting the seed to Sansa that she should send Brienne away so she can kill Arya.

I don't think so man. His time has come. He's fucked over Starks for far too long and it is fitting for a developing master player to be the one to end his narrative. This story was always going to hone in on a man vs others battle and it would be symbolic for LF to be swept aside for that. Next season nobody will be giving a shit who's playing the game of thrones....

I think in order of most to least likely to die next episode: Baelish Cersei Briiene Jamie Tyrion Sansa Arya Dany Jon

I'll save my comments on these players for other, unrelated threads.

Totally agree. Has been getting some good looks lately but overall hasn't really delivered on the goals front since he joined compared to his prior record. If things click in that area he could provide us a tidy return of goals from central midfield.

Pretty friendly group for us which is a good thing. I wouldn't have minded having one juicier team in it just for some special atmosphere and match ups but it puts us in with a better chance of topping the group or as a minimum going through the group. We need to stake a claim in the CL this year and put memories of that last embarrassing whimper of a CL campaign under BR behind us.

Where are you getting this mate?

It looked dramatic but i agree there were many more plausible ways they could have done it. Like just walking into the water and carry it out... they don't breath so why would falling in water be bad? Or maybe it died and didn't fall through the ice. And in their haste to escape they couldn't burn it. Or maybe they try to burn it but it can't be burnt because it's a dragon and impervious to fire.... I still love the show but there is definitely more of a suspend disbelief element than there used to be. Now they are trusting us to just be in awe of the spectacle and overlook the more finer details that don't make sense. I quite liked the high sparrow but i honestly thought he would have ultimately been revealed to be just another political player of the game of thrones... in the show he really did turn out to be as pious as he seemed.

best case scenario Jon will be revealed as the rightful king to all and sundry by the end of the episode. That's worth jacking it to.

As the last episode?

Yes started reading them after i saw season 1. But via audio book. Close to the best books I've read. And awesomely narrated as far as audiobooks go. This Rhaegar plot would be cool and I'd love to see it next week. I dont know what to expect though. I'm bracing for something more devastating than uplifting though. If i had to guess I'd say Littlefinger will be killed. The night king will fly over the wall on a dragon. Cersei will do something devastating that only makes things easier for the Wights. Brienne will have a D&M with Jamie where he struggles to look het in the eye. Bran will finally do something more than we expect. Better than just fingering Baelish.
-
I cant see Howland rocking in now with this news. It would be terrible. Varys could plausibly get some information. Or more likely we might just see bran watching rhaegar and interacting with him in some way similar to how young Ned thought he heard a voice at the tower of joy... that could be a bombshell. In the books there were rumors of rhaegar somehow being communicated with to learn about the prophecy of lightbringer, and becoming obsessed. Potentially that influenced his decision to name Lyanna at the tournament in place of his own wife.... maybe we see bran telling rhaegar about the prophecy and essentially setting him up with lyanna. I'd love some sort of unexpected revelation like that.

Also has anyone seen the porn parody: Queen of Thrones, starring Sexcei Lannister?
-
Predictions for the next episode guys? Will bran do anything at all of note? Will Sam head to the wall, dragonstone kings landing? What will happen in kings landing? Will Jonno be revealed as the living embodiment of all that is good in the world and have everybody kiss his ring as the scene fades out? Big battle? Wall coming down? If so how? Ice dragon fire? Litllefinger getting done in? Will Davos become even more awesome than he already is?
-
Yep. Bran is totally on track to be the biggest let down character ever... I'm not sure he could do anything to win me back from here.
