  1. I don't think so man. His time has come. He's fucked over Starks for far too long and it is fitting for a developing master player to be the one to end his narrative. This story was always going to hone in on a man vs others battle and it would be symbolic for LF to be swept aside for that. Next season nobody will be giving a shit who's playing the game of thrones....
  2. I think in order of most to least likely to die next episode: Baelish Cersei Briiene Jamie Tyrion Sansa Arya Dany Jon
  3. I'll save my comments on these players for other, unrelated threads.
  4. Totally agree. Has been getting some good looks lately but overall hasn't really delivered on the goals front since he joined compared to his prior record. If things click in that area he could provide us a tidy return of goals from central midfield.
  5. Pretty friendly group for us which is a good thing. I wouldn't have minded having one juicier team in it just for some special atmosphere and match ups but it puts us in with a better chance of topping the group or as a minimum going through the group. We need to stake a claim in the CL this year and put memories of that last embarrassing whimper of a CL campaign under BR behind us.
  6. Where are you getting this mate?
  7. It looked dramatic but i agree there were many more plausible ways they could have done it. Like just walking into the water and carry it out... they don't breath so why would falling in water be bad? Or maybe it died and didn't fall through the ice. And in their haste to escape they couldn't burn it. Or maybe they try to burn it but it can't be burnt because it's a dragon and impervious to fire.... I still love the show but there is definitely more of a suspend disbelief element than there used to be. Now they are trusting us to just be in awe of the spectacle and overlook the more finer details that don't make sense. I quite liked the high sparrow but i honestly thought he would have ultimately been revealed to be just another political player of the game of thrones... in the show he really did turn out to be as pious as he seemed.
  8. best case scenario Jon will be revealed as the rightful king to all and sundry by the end of the episode. That's worth jacking it to.
  9. Yes started reading them after i saw season 1. But via audio book. Close to the best books I've read. And awesomely narrated as far as audiobooks go. This Rhaegar plot would be cool and I'd love to see it next week. I dont know what to expect though. I'm bracing for something more devastating than uplifting though. If i had to guess I'd say Littlefinger will be killed. The night king will fly over the wall on a dragon. Cersei will do something devastating that only makes things easier for the Wights. Brienne will have a D&M with Jamie where he struggles to look het in the eye. Bran will finally do something more than we expect. Better than just fingering Baelish.
  10. I cant see Howland rocking in now with this news. It would be terrible. Varys could plausibly get some information. Or more likely we might just see bran watching rhaegar and interacting with him in some way similar to how young Ned thought he heard a voice at the tower of joy... that could be a bombshell. In the books there were rumors of rhaegar somehow being communicated with to learn about the prophecy of lightbringer, and becoming obsessed. Potentially that influenced his decision to name Lyanna at the tournament in place of his own wife.... maybe we see bran telling rhaegar about the prophecy and essentially setting him up with lyanna. I'd love some sort of unexpected revelation like that.
  11. Also has anyone seen the porn parody: Queen of Thrones, starring Sexcei Lannister?
  12. Predictions for the next episode guys? Will bran do anything at all of note? Will Sam head to the wall, dragonstone kings landing? What will happen in kings landing? Will Jonno be revealed as the living embodiment of all that is good in the world and have everybody kiss his ring as the scene fades out? Big battle? Wall coming down? If so how? Ice dragon fire? Litllefinger getting done in? Will Davos become even more awesome than he already is?
  13. Yep. Bran is totally on track to be the biggest let down character ever... I'm not sure he could do anything to win me back from here.
  14. What's so unrealistic about white walkers mining iron ore and working the fires to fabricate huge steel chains?
  15. I was disappointed they didn't show the scene of the wights who happened to be blacksmiths spending months mining iron and melting it down to make chains to use in the lake. I think Brienne is going to KL to ultimately turn Jamie back to the light side of the force.
  16. maybe. I planned to wait it out but caved today since I'm not gong to be home tomorrow night to watch it. I wish I'd waited tbh.
  17. Anybody able to explain how to post a hidden section from a mobile phone? I need to vent.
  18. To be fair my initial thought was that you were suggesting we were in a very remote part of the world, removed from all the action like the night's watch.
  19. They sent the real men to Australia.
  20. Star Wars 2. Attack of the clones. 5/10. They lose at least 2 points for casting the mechanical hayden christenson as anakin and the weirdest stalkerish non genuine feeling romantic subplot I've seen in a movie.
  21. Its a great show and probably the show i've got the most enjoyment out of overall ever besides the west wing but i definitely feel it has gotten way worse on the plotline side since they sped things up. Its become more like it uses the battle scenes and production value like crack in the way its constantly trying to be more shocking or more dramatic than previous as to cause you to bear with it during the weaker moments.... some current season plot elements have the makings of a soap opera. That can grate on you because with some improvements in the writing it could easily be the greatest tv show of all time but overall its still a very enjoyable show despite some of the soapy drama. Just like the west wing.
  22. @6666Did you get through season 4? That was the peak of the show.
  23. So you guys felt it was accurate that baelish was back in control with arya and sansa? I'm thinking now this was just a ruse that Arya and Sanda are letting littlefinger think he's playing them but really they are together.
