  1. Nope. Both child and baldacci are still new to me so wlil keep me busy for a whole while
  2. Yeah agreed. He's very easy to read. I'm also quite liking Lee Child who writes the Jack Reacher series and finding him quite similar to the John Puller series of Baldacci. Steve Jobs.... That sounds like one I'd be into but tbh I've never read a single biography or autobiography. ever.
  3. What tube line and what station? I have a hard to describe love of the London underground and affiliation with the people who ride it
  4. Think the plan was to hold out for VVD till January. We really don't seem to want anybody but him.... But for sure if I'm Klopp I'm playing Sakhalin yesterday if Lovren's injured. The moral high ground should not be to the detriment of the team if the alternative is a vey slow Klavan.
  5. I'm hearing Iron Fist is a tad poor compared to the other ones though. Bit annoying if that's essential lead in work. Good call on Rick and Morty. I'm up to speed with it. Haven't enjoyed it as much as previous seasons tho so far.
  6. That's just my Netflix backlog which isn't saying much as Netflix in Australia is pretty limited. Also on my backlog is: Taboo, The Americans, Mr Robot, Bojack Horseman, True Detective, House of Cards, Ripper Street, The Walking Dead, American Gods, SS-GB, The Deuce (starting this week). Not sure where to start with all that. Probably something in the same vein as Dardevil so will pick up one of the 3 you mentioned or have a crack with Arrow, Gotham, Preacher or the Flash.
  7. Is this linked to the Marvel Hell's Kitchen universe? I've just coming to the end of Daredevil Season 2, and just heard there are a bunch more shows connected to it like Luke Cage and Jessica Jones. I'd be interested if anyone has seen these and whether or not any of them stack up in comparison to daredevil...

Cheers. She's half Italian and half Chinese Portuguese. Most people seem to think she's Hawaiian.

This one went up on fb for father's day.
  10. Any chance Wenger doesn't stay on beyond next summer if arsenal finish sixth and all these contacts expire and there is trouble bringing in replacements?
  11. Overall i enjoyed the season but found it particularly frustrating in terms of plot writing. Some amazing dialog between characters but for me there were many things getting insufficient screen time and then elsewhere screen time is being wasted by pointless little loops that take extra time but add nothing to the story. Like Jon needlessly falling into the ice and then being rescued and back at the wall 5 minutes later. Why bother? Meanwhile key scenes don't even include the entire conversations like how tyrion actually persuaded Jamie to listen in their first meeting at kings landing.
  12. Bearing in mind Lucas also played a role for us at CB too
  13. Cheers. I felt certain the dragon would bring down the wall when they repeated those scenes from last week at the start of the episode.
  14. What's deus ex machina? A computer game?
  15. To be honest mate i think it is a magic blue flame that is cold or neutral I temperature. The wall was more magic than ice in the books. The undead Benjen could not pass across the wall because of the magic used to build it. There is a seal that prevented his kind crossing it. I suspect the ice dragon had an opposing kind of magic that undid what was done to make it. It will not melt bodies but turn them to ice or maybe even turn them directly into icy wights.
  16. David Baldacci - the forgotten Robert Jordan - The lord of chaos
  17. Can't believe we'd pay 40m for Chamberlain with a year on his contract with Sanchez available for potentially as little as 50m. Maybe you guys will get Lemar with the Ox money...?
  18. Did you start at the start though? S1E01 mate. That is the only place to begin.
  19. honestly I think the north will be completely fucked on in devastating fashion to the point you think the good guys can't possibly win and even the golden company will end up fighting the whites in a huge battle at Moat Cailin (the neck). For me some of the key questions for next season are: 1. How will Bran's powers develop and what role will he play in the great war? Will we see him getting more involved in historical events? 2. What is light bringer? Is it really a sword or is the sword a metaphor? I have heard it speculated as being a) a valerian steel sword (longclaw, or the reforging of Ice by Gendry, or that Sam's sword turns out to be one of the long lost Targaryen blades Blackfyre or Black Sister), b) a dragon, c) the night's watch, d) a great army of the living 3. Will Jon be outed as Aegon Targaryen to the world or be given the information and choose to remain as Ned Starks son. 4. How will Jon come face to face with the Night King?
  20. And the prince needs Lightbringer
  21. Jon will love her, but he will kill her, because he has to.
  22. Think the wall coming down was the devastating blow topical of what they usually deal out. Bold prediction: Jon will kill Dany next season.
