Great books, mid movies, it actually makes me a bit sad that this is this generations star wars/lord of the rings.
The movies look great, casts are mostly good, no 'outstanding' performances, but mostly because there isn't room for any in the rushed first movie. Everything is just kind of... competent and the film is good looking, both as a visual spectacle and the cast involved. I gave the first one a promising 7.5/10And then the second. Lord. 6/10.
SpoilerA very different film with a looooooooooooooong first 2 acts, mostly to give room for Pauls character development. But it never really sets in. He takes a stance with Channi against his messianic path, is set a series of challenges, overcomes them without struggle or issue, with no tension ever built. He suddenly and almost arbitrarily discards his stance that he has had for the entire movie, and then the final act is BEYOND disappointing. It's like if the battle for minas tirith and the final stand against mordor both happened in the final 10 minutes of the movie. It's an actionless utter anticlimax, that goes for about 5 minutes. Then the final duel against a character who was only established halfway through this movie, instead of during the first film as he should have been. Just a poorly paced, tensionless film with an utterly damp payoff. Again, film looks great tho.
I think the first movie should have ended with Kynes death and the crashing of the ornithopter. Cut the last 25 minutes of desert wandering and the duel with Jamis off, and use that extra 25 minutes to flesh out the film. Then take 25 minutes of fat off the second movie (and god there is plenty to cut) and add those scenes to the beginning of this film. Then the attack on Arrakeen and the final act in general should get an extra 10-15 min. -

England will win an early ticket home is about all.

Dris is too old. If it were 10 years ago maybe.
Cavil is the new Keanu. Handsome and made of wood.
ATJ will be brilliant imo, looks the part.-

Annoying, Chelsea have created nothing outside of the goal and as great as the ball in and the header were, it was completely uncontested. How have Zanka and Ajer let Jackson slip in between them, when he's the only person forward? Terrible defending, take control.
I want us to swap to a 4-3-3 in the second half, get more pace down the wings, get more creativity in the middle and try to overload this Chelsea team. The way Poch has set up has cancelled out our attack, but it's also left Chelsea pretty weak going forward.
If only Toney scored a couple of those 20 goals he's guaranteed to score per season.

When Harry Kane was a child he made a deal with the devil to become one of the top 3 strikers of his generation. It cost him 200 braincells, the ability to speak English, and the condition he can never win a significant trophy.

Top 10 Greatest cricketers from Pakistan
1. Imran Khan
Not many in history could genuinely bat in middle order and also lead a pace attack at their prime. One of the greatest all-rounders in history; never bowled a no-ball in Tests.
2. Wasim Akram
Greatest in skills with the ball. Got batsmen out methodically. Played at top level for around 20 years which is exceptionally long for a pacer.
3. Waqar Younis
Had more raw power and was aesthetically and arguably for a period better than Wasim.
4. Javed Miandad
Greatest overall batter and an influential, tough, gritty character on and off the field.
5. Zaheer Abbas
Greatest ODIs batter unless Babar wins us a trophy.
6. Younis Khan
Greatest Test batter but an average ODIs career is a gap in the CV.
7. Inzimam-ul Haq
A great match winner. His 50s & 80s won us more matches than some other players' useless centuries.
8. Saqlain Mushtaq
Revolutionized not only off-spin but the sport at large with his doosra. No one knew how to play him for a good amount of time. Murlidharan said in a podcast he asked him to teach doosra and it took him three years to learn. Sadly retired early due to injuries, would've been in top 5 otherwise
9. Abdul Qadir
Revived leg-spin after it was considered an obsolete art. Warne had tapes of him and came to meet him during tour. He told Warne a good googly is when your hand muscles start hurting and keep shadow practicing even with an apple.
10. Hanif Muhammad
Put Pakistan on the map. 337 away to West Indies in 50s against that Windies attack, still the highest away runs in history.
Misbah-Ul-Haq did not average like 60 as captain and lead Pakistan to test number 1 ranking following the spot betting scandal to not be on this list you POS.

I didn’t though, all I said was this is my expertise and I want to put in my analysis. I’ve read back the posts and I’ve had a sloppy word here and there, but my intentions are never to discredit anyone else.
Usually it only gets to that point if people unneedlesly start to insult me and tell me I’m clueless. As for the Gerrard thing, you are absolutely right that I don’t know if he is for certain, and if I knew behind the scenes I wouldn’t be here posting it. My basis was an analysis and the sort of things I know about how a lot of clubs tend to operate.
You've conducted a hiring process for managers at a world class club?
