I can tell you don’t understand how databases work. Sure he won’t be picked but I can guarantee you he is on a list. Whether he makes it past the first phase or not is something else, probably very unlikely.

Hilariously, I'm in my final year of a business analytics and finance major, and Dr gonzo is an actuary. We have forgotten more about databasing than you will ever know. But this really isn't a question of databasing.

Liverpool will have a shortlist, on that list will be 1 or 2 managers that they desperately want, and 2 or 3 that they will fall back on if their first pick can't be made available. It's not some list of 30 managers that they're going to watch footage of, compare performances and interview. They know who they want.

His best material is in the wrong company. Sammy, Jericho, Jungle Boy, Bucks, Matt Hardy's wife, Darby etc.

Bring in Cardona and have him flog him 3 matches in a row.

  3. Book heel Jinder to beat Logan Paul and do an intentionally ironic CM punk antihero story arc where he defends the belt against people the fans dislike, heel or face, and goes off on wrestlers in an honest way.

No one else from either side seems to care that much about taking shots anymore and seem like they just want to make sure they're delivering. Then there's Tony Khan acting like a random fan. Jinder Mahal got this man worked up. This man usually doesn't make anyone feel anything.

Say what we will about Jinder being a mid wrestler, and having a very random title run that no one asked for, his work the last 2 weeks has been brilliant.
Did the job for the rock perfectly, then fired up the cokehead.

What's funny about losing to Palace?

You're entirely respectable, but I'd say being able to outperform Palace is a stepping stone towards European football.

Of course, Brentford also need to navigate the smaller, more basic stepping stone of not losing 5 in a row.

Rumour mill starting back up again, a lot of talk about an Arsenal loan move.

I think as a club we have firm aspirations of a European finish this season and when we have a fully firing front line we will be a problem for anyone in the division on our day.

The only way Toney goes on loan imo is if we get offered it to go permanent at £80m+. Seen reports of £50m which is laughable.

He is at his peak, his contract expires in a year, he has just missed a shite load of action, you say he's a '20+ goal a year striker' when he scored 20 goals once, in a system built for him.
I think he's worth a punt for a team like Spurs where Richarlison is a dogshit cunt and I would play my nan ahead of him. But he's not worth 100 mil, 80 mil or 70. Take the 50 odd, or lose him for nothing in a year.

  7. The game has changed so much in the past decade. I used to bemoan that Barton should have had more game time for England as he was the only fucking English midfielder at the time bar Lampard (who played further forward) who could steal into small spaces and move the ball sharply and accurately. Absolute donkeys like Parker, Barry younger Milner ect wouldn't get a game at Aston Villa these days.

Here's one underrated trait for each position in the modern game

Goalkeepers. Height. Has fallen out of favor for passing and athleticism, but has led to a few flappers being exposed every now and then for big teams.
Centerback. Communication. Marshalling that passing from the back by calling the movement of passing options from off the ball.
Wingbacks. Shooting. The ability to overlap and have a real shot on you, elevates mediocre players like Chilwell.
Center mid. Physicality. I'm not saying go back to donkeys but the ability to win balls, headers and shove off would be tacklers is still a way to be. I much prefer a Rodri to a twink with the same skill set.
Striker. Passing. Look at Kane, Lewandoski, Haaland even. Sets them apart, brings in players around them and keeps attacks alive from awkward spots.
Winger. I think finishing and heading is a good shout from brydog millionaire. Sterling has shown us how much of a liability bad finishing can make you when you're at the back post again and again and there are whole compilations of you hitting air instead of the net.

Alisson & Ederson might make fewer mistakes than most goalkeepers, but basically every one of their mistakes is a howler. And they're easily the 2 best keepers in the league. All goalkeeper errors are going to look particularly poor tbh. De Gea's made a lot of howlers over the last few years, but he's also won United plenty of points over the last few years.

The biggest problem United have with him is he's not a great keeper for modern football, and when you've had managers that weren't the biggest fans of modern football they didn't have defenders (and arguably midfielders) good enough to provide the right kind of organisation to keep those sides looking solid.

The further up the field you go the more widely ignored howlers are. Besides something as horrid as a 'Sterling scoop' when a striker fucks up a walk in, think of the trillion times strikers should do way better in 1 on 1s or with free headers or with a cut back they fucked up. Commentator notes it, might get a replay, then never gets mentioned again. Midfielders get away with horrid giveaways or when caught on the ball. It's defenders and especially goalkeepers who's mistakes get remembered.
