I forgot about Hazard, fair point. Its easy to say “trust them” but what’s your opinion on Origi being a back up to the front three? Do you think he is reliable enough if we get a long term injury?

So with the rumblings of no major signings in the upcoming window, I was wondering what everybody’s take is on the situation? I have made no secret of the fact that I think it’s a mistake. Regardless of the situation with Covid, we simply have to be making some serious additions to this squad. Yes, I can appreciate Coronavirus has impacted spending, but I look over at Chelsea who have spend a healthy sum on Werner and are tipped to spend even more. That is a club that you can compare our situation to; they had two windows where they couldn’t sign anybody so yeah they were able to save up some cash to spend now.....but haven’t we done the same exact thing? Nobody last summer apart from Van DeBerg (1m) and Adrian on a Free and then in January we got Minamino for peanuts. So basically, not much more than Chelsea, and considering some of the wages they pay, it probably evens out in the long term. Add to that they fact we made two champions league finals in a row, won one, and came second in the premier league. All this is more than Chelsea have done, and their revenues and profit margins aren’t comparable. Yes, we are developing the stadium & the training ground, but we really can’t let those be detrimental to the current squad. This team is the best Liverpool team in my lifetime, and we should be capitalising on that by adding quality and keeping it fresh. I’m not happy at all with Origi & Shaqiri being our back ups in attack, Origi has scored some massive goals for us but he is so inconsistent and just can’t be relied on most of the time. Minamino could become very good for us, and Rhian Brewster has done well on loan at Swansea but you can’t hang your hat on them. I don’t want this team burning out because too much is constantly expected of them, they have done amazing for us so far and I have no doubt they can all continue to play at an elite level for another couple of years but history shows that those who stay still for too long will get left behind. I’m not expecting 5/6 new signings for the squad, in fact I’d be very happy with an elite midfielder and another first 11 quality attacker. I’m just frustrasted at the idea of us not taking advantage of how well Klopp has done, give the man more, let him build a dynasty here.

What skill does it require, really? I watched it and it just looked like a big game of hot potato. Didn’t seem to be much tactics at play other than “hoof the bastard ball”. Honestly looked like a shit game of rugby you see between a bunch of kids. No doubt you need to be athletic to play, as it looks draining physically. I was up early for work this morning and had the misfortune of seeing a game of Aussie rules football....do any of you wombats watch this piss?? Fucking shite.

You don’t have blab on about things that haven’t been said. Nobody here is screaming for 150m to be spent. I commented on the fact that we have seemingly missed out on a player who has public ally flirted with us, who is one of the most talented attacking players in Europe and who doesn’t have an outrageous release clause. Add to that the fact that we haven’t invested in the first team in 18 months, and whispers are saying that will stretch to 2 years. But let’s all have a jolly up eh.

Yeah, I’m not buying that we are potless. Load of shite. Investments have been growing but so has our revenue, and we are going to add to that revenue with a new shirt deal, higher tv rates and prize money from winning the premier league. We have made absolutely mint in terms of prize money in the last two season, yet still no investment in the squad. I’m not screaming for 100m purchases either. Werner would have been expensive but he has such potential, is young, and could grow into a world class player. Our front three and others around the squad have been amazing servants and continue to perform to an unbelievable level for us, but let’s not forget the ages of Milner, Lallana, Gini, Lovren, Hendo (just about) are all 30 and will not be around forever. Get some fresh faces in, let them bed in and start fighting for a place in this team. Resting on your laurels for too long isn’t wise.

I’m curious to see what players we will be after in this upcoming window. Time Werner has flirted with the idea of joining us on numerous occasions over the last few months, Klopp has spoken to him and he would be perfect for our system....yet Chelsea look to have signed him under our nose. I hope it’s not another window of skimping and saving from the club. I appreciate that the environment has changed with coronavirus hitting, but we still need to compete in the market. Stand still for too long and you go backwards. I hope we can sign Werner still, but it’s not looking too likely.

Leave No Trace - 8/10 Dont know how I missed this one first time around but it was very good. The young girl in it was fantastic, as was Ben Foster but that is to be expected.

Fucking hell. I’ve got goosebumps watching that main event. What a fucking performance from Gaethje, he brutalised Ferguson. Ferguson is a hard bastard though, gotta have respect for how he kept going forward despite taking that sort of damage. Those shots would have put 99% of fighters down. Had Gaethje by tko/ok, Ngannou by tko/ko and Cruz by decision in a treble bet. Annoyed by the stoppage in the Cruz fight, how can you stop a fight when the fighter is getting back to his feet, Cruz was clearly not ko’d in any way. Cruz looked good as well and I’d have back it to go the distance at that point.

Tonight's card is unreal, definitely be up to watch it. Gonna be interesting in seeing how no crowds effects the performances, especially with a confidence fighters like Cowboy.

Good news for the business, hopefully the new owners have advisors that have looked at every decision Ashley has made so they can do the completel opposite.
