  1. So shit as a fan having to write off the FA cup at the start of every season.
  2. To be fair, we have this argument every month
  3. We are getting rid of squad players and not replacing them. It’s like they have learned nothing from last season. I’m fed up of debating it on here, because nobody seems to think of the “what if?” scenarios. Had the same push back last summer when we let Lovren go, was told I was being spoilt by wanting another quality centre half in, look what happened there when our two injury prone centre backs ended up injured (Van Dijk’s you can’t account for). We lose Salah, Jota or Mane in that forward line we have very little quality to come in. I’m not listening to any bollocks about us being too skint either, because that’s bullshit. Yes, we have signed Konate, but that’s been offset by player sales. Yes, we have extended contracts and given pay rises but that should be covered by the new Nike deal and other new commercial partners we have. The prize money for qualifying for champions league football, the prize money for winning the league, the prize money for winning the champions leagues. Very little investment relative to the money brought in through performing in those competitions. Henry and co showed their greed in the super league debacle, so I don’t think it’s too outrageous to say that their greed is responsible for us having a much weaker squad than all three teams we are competing with. I am dreading when Klopp leaves us in a couple of years. He squeezes every single ounce of this squad, he is the prime reason we have kept us near those three I have mentioned.
  4. So now Shaqiri has officially left, and the club are looking for suitors for Origi my question is what we plan on doing when Salah & Mane fuck off for a month for the African Cup Of Nations? I really hope to see at least one attacking option brought in before the window shuts. If not we go into those games with Minamino, Ox and two teenagers as our options alongside Jota & Firmino.
  5. That Marseille coach who floored the Nice fan will be at the job centre in the morning. Stupid fucker. Nice need to be given a very heavy fine and stadium ban.
  6. Him smashing the ball into the crowd is golden
  7. Brilliant seeing Clermont steal that point. Fully deserved, Lyon were pathetic.
  8. Lyon’s 3rd against Clermont was brilliant.
  9. Apart from Sargent, you’ve sold everybody for pittance. Terrible.
  10. Brought in on a long term deal. Had some fitness issues to start with, but then when he was fit he was barely in match day squads, instead the terrible Rhys Williams was chosen ahead of him. Then this season he is fully fit, raring to go, and is told “you’re going out on loan…but not to a premier league club, you’re going back to the championship” absolutely no minutes played for Liverpool in competitions, played 30 mins of a friendly a few weeks back and that’s it. Played over 100 games for Preston, brought in and shown very little respect. And don’t tell me Rhys Williams is a better player, because that lad was on loan in the non league and was only used out of desperation last season, he’s absolutely shit and needs to be shipped out. Liverpool basically wasted half a year of Davies career.
  11. Davies to Sheffield on loan is a done deal. The way he has been treated by the club is a disgrace.
  12. Yeah, he doesn’t need to play against Burnley at the weekend.
  13. Barcelona interested in Aubameyang & willing to offer Coutinho as part exchange? If true, Arsenal should be all over that deal.
  14. Minamino was very good in the first half today. Him, Bobby, Tsimikas & Chamberlain were the stand out performers today. Ox looks like he has gained about 2 yards of pace from somewhere. What I’m most impressed with is that every single player looks hungry, even the young lads don’t look that out of place next to these senior players. I may just have to eat my words about some of these players. But if I do, you can bet your arse I’ll be throwing the word “hindsight” around plenty.
  15. My guess is 6 weeks out. No time frame means it ain’t gonna be a fortnight. Good job Tsimikas looks very handy as a replacement.
  16. I’ve been wanting improvement on these players for 3 years.
  17. Despite my gripes, I agree on the last part of that. From what we have seen in the last couple of pre season games, the constant press may have returned. Mane & Salah look unbelievably fit, and everybody looks hungry again.
  18. Origi, Shaqiri & Oxlade Chamberlain would all be on their way out if I were Klopp. None of those three are going to make any real impact are they. Or are we hoping that Chamberlain becomes some consistent attacking threat all of a sudden? He has had a good few months here before he had that long term injury but overall he has been a costly mistake. Klopp being forced to push him up into the front three positions just shows how little investment there is. We can’t pay anybody to take Origi, so that tells you all you need to know. Shaqiri seems to only have interest from skint Italian clubs, so we are hardly going to make a mint there either. Minamino has looked lost for the most part, so he’s not going to be somebody to rely upon. Harvey Elliott has come back and looked really good in pre season, and it’s likely he is going to get a bit of game time this season. But we are going into the season with those lot I’ve mentioned & Bobby/Jota as attacking options off the bench. Bobby has been on his way out for a couple of seasons now (he has his moments, but few and far between) and we were all saying he and Mane would have been dropped last season if we had any options off the bench, which we don’t. Youve got Utd with Martial & Greenwood on the bench, you’ve got City with Sterling & Silva/Mahrez, Chelsea with Abraham/Pulisic…and then us….Origi & Shaqiri. Class. Fed up of having this same go around on here though. Being told that the squad doesn’t need work even though it’s not had much of a freshen up for 3-4 years is annoying. Like Spike said, we could have built a dynasty with this team, but these owners are cheap fucks and wouldn’t gamble on Klopp and his staff to go out and really cement our spot at the top. Standing still while those around us add to their squads (that already finished above us last season) is disheartening to say the least.
  19. It’s the fact that the players we need to rely on have shown themselves to be very injury prone. The squad needs freshened up massively.
  20. Two or three injuries, but the general point is correct.
  21. Van Dijk walked off last season as well. Personally, the way he screamed I think it’s going to be a bad one. Fuck sake.
  22. Harvey Elliott needs to stay here this season. He is brilliant, and could be a really special player.
