  1. Yeah that Spurs record has gone under the radar a bit. On the signings, I never knew really how much of a good fit Richarlison was for Spurs. He's at his best coming in off the left but Spurs already have Son in that position. Centre forward is a secondary position for him and he was never going to be a like for like replacement for Kane. They've got unlucky with him on the injury front either way. Johnson has been disappointing but sometimes it's one of those that just doesn't click. It doesn't look like a good purchase now but I don't think many people were calling that transfer out at the time either. It looked fine on paper. I agree that £65m is a lot for Solanke but it's too early to call that one either way.
  2. There's a clause in Dyche's contract where he gets paid an extra year's salary if he gets sacked before the contract expires, which makes it much more unlikely we'll pull the plug on him given our financial situation. However, if we get beaten by Leicester at the weekend then I don't see that the club has much choice but to sack him.
  3. Saturday 21st September, 2024 Sunderland 2-1 Middlesbrough, 12.30 Rangers 3-0 Dundee FC, 17.30 Fenerbahce 1-2 Galatasaray, 18.00 Lecce 1-0 Parma, 19.45 Sunday 22nd September, 2024 Austin FC 1-1 Houston Dynamo, 01.30 Preston 1-0 Blackburn, 12.00 Arsenal Women 0-2 Man City Women, 12.30 Rapid Vienna 2-1 Austria Vienna, 16.00 Inter Milan 1-0 AC Milan, 19.45 Lyon 1-2 Marseille, 19.45
  4. Missed the race but looks like a good one from the highlights. Piastri is great. Good recovery from Norris to beat Max as well. That's probably the last fuck up he can afford if he's going to get close to the Championship. Mclaren lead the Constructors and Ferrari are going to finish ahead of Red Bull too. What a waste from Perez on the one weekend every two years that he's faster than Max.
  5. I still think the results will come soon. Emotionally you'd obviously not rather go through the whole 2-0 lead to lose thing but frankly it's more encouraging than the likes of the 4-0 hammering we served up at Spurs. We need O'Brien or preferably Branthwaite to replace Keane at centre back and we need Patterson back as well. The lack of recovery pace in our back line is glaring. Hopefully Lindstrom can challenge Harrison for his place in the team as well because Harrison doesn't offer enough in attack and with two goals coming from Digne today he hasn't done his job defensively either. The rest of them, for what they are, aren't far off it.
  6. I didn't expect anything from this match but the most insufferable thing is going to be people making out that losing a 2-0 lead here is remotely the same as the 2-0 lead we blew two weeks ago.
  7. You just know when you miss the chance to kill a game off like Calvert-Lewin did there that a goal at the other end is right around the corner...
  8. Yeah good effort so far. Still a big ask to see this out and can't even say I'm confident we'll at least take a point away.
  9. Crying it in sometimes pays off. McNeil puts us ahead. Watch VAR chalk this off.
  10. We've barely touched the ball in the first 10 minutes. This has 2-0 to Villa by half time written all over it. None of it is a surprise.
  11. Villa take just 8 minutes to rack up 3 first half corners as well ffs.
  12. Come on Palace, Brighton . Dyche starting Keane again over O'Brien is a bit annoying. Think our defence gets run ragged again here to be honest. Hopefully Branthwaite is back in contention for the Leicester and Palace games.
  13. Weird session and the Mclaren doesn't look great here but that's another key mistake from Norris.
  14. Staropramen? On a side note, isn't it about time the Czechs had an F1 driver?
  15. DeadLinesman: Lec Lec Ham Ver 15th Col
  16. Leclerc Russell Hamilton Leclerc 15th Bearman
  17. They could fix it by putting a cap on how much profit from non-footballing sources (merchandise, advertising, selling hotels, etc.) any club can count in their PSR calculations. It means that clubs are still incentivised to run a sustainable operation, still rewards clubs for making a lot of money from those sources to a reasonable extent, but stops certain clubs from being able to overspend in the transfer and wage market by hundreds of millions while competing in the same league as clubs who have to sell to buy just to avoid a points deduction.
