  1. I was reading the same article on another website and someone said what you just said. Imagine if this had been an actual problem versus being banned on a game, I think he'd have had a mental breakdown and not been able to function. He'll make more money, these kids are mouse wielding ninjas and they will just migrate to the next game when it comes out.
  2. Well UEFA is probably still in the phase where they are being lenient and not caring because they figure everyone is trying to learn right now. It's hard enough for refs to work with VAR and implement their own domestic rules then go over to the European stage and do the same but it will get more stringent the longer it goes on. This all really boils down to frequency. If you're good for 8 games and bad for 2 its not so bad as long as there is improvement. If you're bad for 9 out of 10 and its consistent then there's a problem which can be remedied by taking you out of the equation completely. UEFA shouldn't care about what the rest of the FAs do as long as it doesn't impact their implementation of VAR (my other problem with the way this is adopted with zero standardization). The day it starts to affect them they'll pull the plug on anyone because like I said in the earlier post, there is video evidence and evidence that a poor decision was made after providing data. Where can you really run? Note: keep it mind that its a highly political landscape as well so for all we know they let everyone make mistakes for eternity as well.
  3. I don't think they are being stubborn I think they are being cautious in not just saying "oh he got it wrong". Imagine the implications not just for the domestic league but from the UEFA perspective as well. If they said they weren't using it right they could be banned from refereeing other European matches until they're fit and ready as well and then you could bleed that upwards to FIFA ala World Cup. However, where the problem really does exist here is that its not like they did something which wasn't backed up with verification (VAR) and that is where this starts to get a bit harder to justify. Like I said before, I am pro-tech to make everyone's lives a lot easier. Is the tech there yet? I don't think its there and to think otherwise on my part would be foolish. Will it get there? Yes it will. There's too much invested in this to solve an issue that the only way it disappears is if it has sustained issues which I don't think any of this is yet. Match fans saying the experience is watered down is zero justification to short-change this tech but continued decision failure and resistance from teams in the league could eventually bring it there. Football as a whole hasn't cared about fans for a while and to expect them to change their stance now is never going to happen. P.S. I also agree about the untrained eye part. Its not that its hard to not see what went wrong but then to take the laws of the game and apply them and then take into account what else needs to be done as a result isn't something easy. most of us have the luxury of looking online and we expect someone to do it fast in real-time (its their job I get it but I doubt they can remember everything) and then bring a result out in a matter of seconds. It's going to take time and these are growing pains, it will get better once they start finding better ways to enforce the rules and use the tech.
  4. Normally wouldn't say this but I have no sympathy for this kid. He knew what he was doing was against the rules thats why he did it on a separate computer and he's really not apologetic about his behavior too. He made tonnes of money off it and if you didn't think they'd go after you because you're popular you've got another thing coming. Cheating is wrong and shouldn't be encouraged in any way whatsover. I say this very rarely but good job Epic.
  5. Watch them win it now and then the real madness will ensue
  6. That genuinely took me back to Florida and in particular Sonny's BBQ. My friend tapped a 5 foot nothing lady on her shoulder and asked her if she could hurry up as he was starving and she took the tongs and gave him a look that made him step back. Keep in mind that my friend was 6'2ish and rowed for crew but he said that look in her eyes was like a rabid animal. Lesson for life, do not push for people to move in a buffet.
  7. i think if he was around with Klopp for longer he'd have lifted another CL trophy and contributed to it as well. I don't think Brendan was ever truly interested in the CL he had his eyes on the league.
  8. Only two people from that list are still around and we've upgraded across every position. Crazy how far we've come.
  9. Right about the Milan part but I think this goes under Inter's thread not the AC one? Also, I think Lukaku did something smart by leaving United when he did. He was doing well internationally and had a good run with United as well. Nice to see he's getting back to being good again.
  10. I was listening to Alan Shearer talk today about how they were told something completely different when the tech was demonstrated versus how its being used and this all goes back to standardization and laying some process in place which completely over-rules the ref. I think everyone can agree that refs have had some form of bias every time they have taken to the pitch so bring an independent committee in, give them the power to overturn the ref on the pitch and then watch the refs actually have to shape up. They've had zero repercussions for as long as the game has gone on because people want this 'natural' process which allows them to pick the scapegoat of the day versus actually rectify the problem.
  11. Think he should have walked off and not stayed personally. This kind of behavior is just fueled more when no one does anything about it.
  12. Sketchy details from Blizzcon but from what was announced they now have a PvE mode and they are going to keep the PvP environments and competitive form as well for the original Overwatch players as well. Shame it won't come out till next year but it was time they put a new one out.
  13. Its obviously a great time to be a supporter. We've been progressing nicely every season, won a European title and this season we're still ahead in the league. I agree with what was said above, we can't worry too much about Klopp leaving right now, enjoy it for what it is and I think the bigger fear is getting overturned this season as well. Next week plays a very important role in what the season may end up like.
  14. Can't believe Dragon Age is five years old. I also can't believe how old Parasite Eve is and it still gets a mention in the RPG list.
  15. Don't. It's so complicated and winded until you really get going not like the original which was far better imo.
  16. I use TunnelBear but Express isn't so bad either.
  17. https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-india-50258948 Whenever I read news like this I always wonder what the liabilities for those companies are. WhatsApp has a user-base of over 400 million people in India and now we're all supposed to just believe that the issue was fixed? How many people were hacked, what was hacked, etc. If I made a blunder like that at work I'd have my head on the chopping block and here we have a company who can't reveal all the numbers and help people know they got hacked. Odd, just odd.
  18. Finished this on my Switch today. Good puzzle game and its very cheap on Steam right now if anyone wants to go get it.
  19. Liverpool should tell the EFL that they are out and not even bother about them rescheduling the matches. The hurt there is that the youngsters have played some excellent games to get this far and it would be a bit cruel to cut their chances of game-time.
  20. If you can wait 12 days theres this little Star Wars gaming out
  21. I hope Klopp lifts the Premier League Cup before he goes. Be a shame considering all he has achieved and the team he has assembled.
  22. That's another title I heard was great but I think i'll hit Luigi's Mansion first.
  23. https://www.uefa.com/memberassociations/uefarankings/club/#/yr/2020 Was looking at this today on UEFA's site and I only posted it here because I was a bit amused at our scores. In the year we went to the finals and lost we were clearly the second best team in the competition. But, the year after that we were third and behind two clubs with a better overall record in the competition with Spurs coming in sixth. Just goes to show that stats can be misleading at times.
