If you're trying to understand how some of the most popular pedals stack up against each other give this channel a look into. The presentation is clean and does a great job and outlining all the differences. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCv5OXCaJyRJdSJC2XxzexsQ This is also a great video outlining the differences between the two Ibanez TubeScreamers ... apparently there are none.

Dave is truly unique in the way he talks about music.

i think thats also quite fair when you think about it. You have the drums and the bass line to guide the guitar playing. I used to really hate playing with a click then I conditioned myself to it and now when I hear it I instinctively start playing with it. Sadly, if you try and do this with three other people it can turn into a proper cluster-fuck as you're trying to pay attention to the other instruments and do your part as well.

I know people who use the click when they are playing sets live too and the most important thing it does is give you a reference for the rhythm parts especially in songs where the rhythms double or if you have time signatures that change as well. Practicing with a metronome is another one that I think goes hand-in-hand with playing with a click because playing a part of the song or the whole song along with something guiding the time really strengthens your understanding of time and how to use it effectively too. Having said all that, like you said if you've never done it then it really doesn't make sense to use it because i've also found that sometimes it can really just mess with your head haha. Think the video is missing from your post btw.

How many of you in here play or sing with a click in your ear? I used to hate it at first but does it ever help with auto-correct and time alignment.

Think its mostly vocals so I am still learning there but yeah if @Inti Brian posts something in here I'd be happy to take a stab at improving it and giving constructive advice. One of the benefits of going to a studio very often is hearing other people sing and then re-tuning your hearing to what is actually required to make a song sound good versus the "it sounds good" philosophy. It's honestly a very slippery slope as well because its very hard to break habits and patterns but just like learning an instrument it comes with time and practice.
  7. Today, the government of Karnataka lifted the movement ban and started that people can move between the hours of 7am and 7pm without a pass of any kind but in off-hours you need a pass and need to be part of essential services. But, thats not the best part, the best part is that they have reopened liquor stores so thank you for that but the liquor store right outside my house has a line that puts a lot of concert waiting lines to shame and none of them, not a single one, are practicing social distancing and some aren't even wearing masks. Add to all of this the area we live in is considered a red-zone at the district level so we're going to see some kind of spike for a while.
  8. He was made to only appear in certain places and never really chased you in the sense that Mr X did which was disappointing. I think it would have added to the horror factor if he showed up out of nowhere and just caused havoc but I think they did it due to wanting it to be different from RE2. Shame really as RE2 took the best thing about RE3 and left RE3 with nothing new.
  9. When I played i the first time through I actually stopped at certain moments and thought to myself "Should I go back and get XYZ?" Then I'd say nah only to say later that I should go back. Glad I did as I'd have missed quite a bit of the game if I hadn't. What did you think of the game?
  10. Think @Azeem has some thoughts on the new Assassin's Creed
  11. Its one of those beat-em-ups where if you just try and go full gung-ho you'll lose pretty fast and the incentive to do longer damage combos makes it really fun to play.
  12. Yeah you're kinda close to the end maybe another 3 - 4 hrs depending on how much scouring you want to do and pick up stuff. I am on the final stage of SoR4 and finishing it with Blaze first. Then Axel. Then the new characters. I quite like it and its worth it for the cost imo.

@Dr. Gonzo remember how we always say that guitars today have come a long way in manufacturing? Take a look at this video. I sat there trying to tell myself that the Gibson's acclaimed mid-range came through particularly on the 60s model but for the life of me I can't say that because the Epiphone really just sounds superb and this is not to slate the 50s model as Pete might have been running it through a rig to highlight the faults but that's something the EQ and modeler can fix. At 529 quid what a fucking steal.

I like it. Not too punchy (and I mean the vocals) and it blends very well.
  15. Thanks now I also know what I am getting it on console-wise but I'll stick with the PC version for a while. Found three friends who are also getting it on PC so we can all take turns playing while connected to Discord. I really wish they'd just say we're in 2020 and enable 4-way multi-player online. This was my big gripe with Darksiders: Genesis (please dont play this on the PC as its riddled with issues) because I felt like they should have made it a 4 way co-op and added more characters to the roster just to make it a fun game for party play.
  16. If Nintendo ever wanted to give its fans something to rejoice about in this lockdown they'd start working on a network system that allowed players to play online rivaling their competitors. But, we must also remember this is Nintendo and they really give two shits about online gameplay.
  17. Think its 10% they did the same thing for the PC version which is why i picked it up in the first place. I am thinking I'll get it for the Switch instead of the PS4 as I havent really bought anything there in a while.
  18. What are you playing it on? PS4? Gotta say I was very tempted to pick it up for my Switch because it would remind me of the Game Gear days.
  19. PC, it was really cheap on Steam so I figured just buy it.
  20. Its actually quite good. Played a few minutes this morning and I'll do a run later tonight.

I think the wiki came about because of that too.

That wiki page on model number explanations is actually very useful. Particularly the places the guitars are made and their purpose.
  23. You're right. I did a cursory glance and read through it yesterday (the Chinese one) but I have no idea why they added the other drugs to the list? I am thinking they wanted the subjects boosted and for enzyme creation to stop but that makes no sense as if they were testing remdisivir then wouldn't they want that to be the only constant in the equation?

Was it Scott from Scott's Bass Lessons who said "Why cant they just give it a name instead of making it sound like a machine sent from the future to do your laundry"?
  25. So odd right? I'd try and push it down to core genetic-makeups of the test subjects and the strains used in each case. The China labs might be using something with a far more advanced structure than the ones in America. But, I still find it odd that labs are finding different results and I'd have expected it to be the other way around honestly.
