Haven't really tried LoL just because I spend more time on DOTA. But it looks card-based?

Really hard to believe how long ago all this music was made and how relevant it is today.

This was me a while ago, id write a nice riff and then I wouldn't know where to take it and it all stemmed from not knowing enough about other instruments and how they sat together especially the one instrument you complain about drums. I don't know what it is but for some reason I can play bass with a drum beat at the drop fo a hat but if you asked me to come up with something innovative for drums I'd totally get lost. Then I started doing something I never thought would be helpful and I actually started writing drum music and the doors just opened and got wider. For some reason, if i write it out I can visualise drum beats and how I want the bass line to fit in the drum beat structure. That little piece you heard had the drums written out before we started doing our own recording and its also the reason the drum swings a bit towards the end its because the drummer and me sat down and wrote it. Drum machine are a PITA, I always feel like I am banging pots and pans when I try them out haha. Oh and a MIDI keyboard helps a lot when you're doing drums and they are cheap ... hint hint.

Yeah its still early days and we're looking to add something with a heavy fuzz to accommodate switching the pace to something a bit faster and definitely heavier. With businesses slowly resuming here everyone has been busy and we have two doctors in the group so we're being wary of their timings and work schedules too. And yes it is building up so its good to know thats translating to the listener. It started out as us just toying with odd timings but you're right its going to get considerably louder with two guitars and some heavier tones. The idea is to almost reach something that "Tool" does regularly if you like that kind of music. EDIT: Thank you both for the feedback.

In other news, the band finally had time to sit down and write some music out and we came up with almost a minute of something we're flushing out. Comments for improvement are always welcome. The idea is to transition towards something heavier as the song starts building up. I have zero sympathy for anyone that cheats in games whether you're just 'testing' it out or putting it into practice in live games. As much as I think Riot/Tencent aren't the best company in the world I also think this is the right approach.

This game was released before and the nice thing about it is that it has zero instructions for how to do things so you really just figure it all out. I think there are some gameplay videos on YouTube too. Has that H R Giger feeling all over it too which is great.

Took some time this week+last to clear out the backlog got through a lot.. Finished NiOh 2 Finished Doom Eternal Played a funny game called Helltaker (literally 3hours) from Steam Played a game called Katana Zero which I think is quite good but its also a bit repetitive Finished Ori and the Will of the Wisps (tried to finish every zone before the final boss fight but it never happened) Now I am going to start playing Stela which is a slightly older game but I like the genre. I go back to SoR4 every now and then to try and complete it with as many characters as possible.

I put it in my list. Don't know when I'll play it. I like their mystery games.

What a productive weekend. Had a long conversation with a friend of mine who spent two years studying music production about finding something in budget that wasn't a Shure SM7B to record both vocals and some dual channel acoustic guitar stuff (if you've never read it and you like recording acoustic guitar do some research here and trust me its time worth spent because you'll learn a lot). Long story short, he is sending me his SM57 LC to try out and he sent me some tracking stuff that sounded very good for guitar so I am going to see if it works then I get a mic that I can use for general recordings that will cover about 80% of the spectrum I want at 4 times cheaper the cost of a SM7B. The downside is it won't have the high-pass cut or the presence booster but I think I'll live with it till I can get the vocalist over to do some work and see how far I can take logic's post-processing. When its done I'll post it in here to see how you guys like it (maybe a 30 second clip).

I like the discussion around this. Sometimes you'll play a game to challenge yourself and its not like there arent a myriad of other games to choose from. It's why some people don't touch Bloodborne or Souls or NiOh or Sekiro, the difficulty just overwhelms them or they rage quit. Having said all that Ghost of Tsushima is a day one purchase for me now.

Companies, in their tryst with cheating, are justifying ways to run anti-cheat software along with the game during online sessions. Now, the reports always say this doesnt affect consoles but then I ask how long before even that statement becomes obsolete? It's not like you can't hack a console and its not like they can't cheat there as well. Shame really as I like Doom Eternal and before this May 14th patch I was seriously considering a second run with the difficulty all the way up as well. The good news is that Bethesda is removing Denuvo, the bad news is that a lot of folks who installed it with Denuvo on there won't really know if its gone or if it still around somewhere. Ring-0 is not for software that is not from the OS provider, PERIOD. And if something does require that level of access then the OS provider needs to be involved along with a security team chosen by the international community (this sounds like a joke but its not). The last thing you want is for some lazy security programmer pushed by the boss on a deadline to introduce a hole and then forget stealing data from your machine they can do far far worse.
