  1. I just don't understand why you think anyone is "rattled" This thread has continuously had horrible "banter" when it comes to Vettel vs Hamilton, to be fair For me, he's the best driver on the grid but I couldn't make myself cheer for him even if I wanted too; all because of his public image which I find fake, cringey and extremely annoying, and I'm not even much of a Vettel fan haha.
  2. Apparently all that just means he's got personality...

    Animals

Shouldn't smile (show teeth) either, that's pretty much universal truth in animal kingdom, but even more so in (non-human) primates. It's weird how smile evolved from being a sign of aggression to a complete opposite friendly gesture in humans to be honest; and it's even more interesting how dogs adapted to understand humans and evolved areas of brain responsible for understanding human facial expressions and processing human emotions.
  4. The Martian (2015) Finally got round to watching it! Loved it; a good and quite realistic hard scifi, interesting characters, good acting. Probably one of the best book adaptations ever. 8/10
  5. It has shrimp in it; must be good. Going to Vietnam in less than two weeks
  6. That's how electric cars sound to me to be fair. The main reason why I struggle with watching Formula E despite decent racing action; the cars just sound like my grandma's vacuum cleaner.
  7. Very happy for Kimi! Also Max is class; good to see him racing maturely and that defending against Hamilton was great. Not to mention finishing 2nd after starting from 18th! Pretty good race all in all.
  8. A shitty haircut is a sign of having personality?... What a time to be alive
  9. Currently watching the now infamous press conference, what a meltdown Love it.

Now that's a real tragedy and something I can relate too... Meanwhile, I've just finished a huge work project, it's a beautiful sunny weather outside and I'm going out for some nice food and beers

I see those pills I sent you haven't reached you yet...
  12. Kimi on faster tyres alongside Hamilton could make the start very interesting...

I enjoyed smoking when I smoked. I actually like the taste of tobacco and still enjoy a cigarillo every once in a while. Cigarettes though are absolutely vile.

Alcohol is too ingrained in human culture and history as it's likely as old as civilization itself and had numerous purposes (i.e. not only for pleasure) throughout the years. As for the blame - for me, it's solely the fault of an individual as long as it's a grown up with knowledge of the potential harm of misuse. Let's be clear here, the overwhelming majority of people in the world using alcohol do not abuse it or misuse it to such a degree where it has an impact on their daily functioning and the well-being of themselves and their families. Some are more susceptible to become addicted, but it normally takes years of abuse to get there and if said individual doesn't realise the problem and doesn't accept help, well I'm not sure we can blame anyone else can we?... There's a difference between drinking moderately and getting wasted like an Englishman on a stag do abroad too haha. The former is shown to have certain health benefits, the latter is destructive.

I agree, smoking at least keeps you thin Joking aside, quality of food is definitely more important on a large scale, especially given cultural significance of food and eating.

To be fair though, there's an addictive quality for foods as well; mostly sugar, salt and fats (so basically the main stuff in junk food) which impact the areas of the brain associated with pleasure (mainly seratonine/dopamine responses) and meddle with the brain's satiety mechanism. Lipids target similar reward areas of the brain as opioid drugs like heroin. I agree though that's essentially it's still each individual's choice though. Just like smoking.

  20. I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it happening, only 4 cars made it to the pits, the rest were stuck in that pileup That circuit is not suitable for modern GT cars to be fair... they are way too wide. Still fun to watch though As for the F3 crash: nah I don't think they really investigated it; both drivers went too fast into the corner and lost control under breaking... Imagine how heartbreaking it must have been haha. Habsburg was actually crying.
  21. Then do yourself a favour and watch this: It's epic And then watch this: As for Katayamas - I don't think they're related. I watch Super GT regularly, and Ukyo has his own team there which won last championship as well, but they have never mentioned any of his family racing in F3...
  22. One of the best races on the racing calendar, brilliant circuit. Have you seen Macau GP last year? It was amazing Habsburg overtook Sette Camara just before the last turn of the last lap, and then they both crashed into the wall allowing Ticktum to take the win from 3rd
  23. JAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Get in! Well deserved, amazing run! We've got a Schumacher champion again and I'm so happy he's proven all the critics wrong! Must admit I even shed a tear of joy
