Last Man Standing League - Rules and Table Updates

Now watch me fail all three upcoming rounds completely... -
Watched the first episode of Tulsa King yesterday. Created by Taylor Sheridan and starring Sylvester Stallone, who plays a New York mafia capo released from prison after 25 years and sent to Tulsa to set up his business there. Didn't have any expectations for it, but ended up really enjoying the first episode. Basically, a pulpy, brainless gangster dramedy. https://www.imdb.com/title/tt16358384/

This is arguably one of the best things to come out of the whole Musk's Twitter verification fail:

https://www.zdf.de/dokumentation/zdfzeit/zdfzeit-geheimsache-katar-100.html Finally watched the documentary, some pretty outrageous revelations. Not as much about Qatar as such (nothing new in that aspect), but rather about the high ranking people in German (and European) football. Bad look for Rummenigge and Bayern, above all.

I must admit it's something that annoys me quite a bit in general and is also the reason why I can't take any of this kind of activism seriously - it's all just loud words and sometimes some meaningless symbolic gestures in vocal support of some cause, but no action - when it actually matters, they all bury their heads in the sand. Putting on a t-shirt, making loud public statements, posting trending hashtags, taking a knee or using catchy slogans is easy and comes at no cost compared to actually taking a hard stance against something in a way that may have personal consequences to you. Normally, I wouldn't care and I also absolutely don't expect everyone to be opposing every issue on the planet personally (I know I'm not), but I can't stand virtue signaling and empty platitudes, then disregarding it completely and bending over for whoever waves a wad of cash or better career prospects at them. Hypocrites, the lot of them.

I'm happy for Füllkrug. Completely don't care otherwise and won't watch a single minute of it...
-
Yeah, Zetterer also posted it, but a shorter version without those comments Bittencourt comes across as a joker in that Werder documentary, too
-
It was not Füllkrug who posted the video, but Bittencourt, I believe

The idea to build a wall in a middle of a city based on geopolitics is so absurd, it would be hard for a complete outsider to believe.

What the actual fuck?...

Eh brain doesn't matter as much as a good heart does, in general.

Massive respect to those guys. And to Poldi too

This looks interesting...

I switched to RawTherapee and Darktable for photo editing. Both free and impressively good.

I have very mixed feelings as I'm scared of him picking up an injury while there, but all things considered, he deserves it and it would probably mean a lot to him, so I do hope it happens...

I know a very good solution to this problem...

Actually haven't read it before you posted this! But yeah, Adobe has turned into a proper shitty company. Shifting to subscription-based products in general was something that pushed me away from them a while ago already, so I can't say I'm surprised...

Only in select movie theaters, I believe... And yeah, I see where you're coming from; the quantity does seem to be the preference over actual quality these days. I don't think I would have many movies released in the last decade or so on my all-time favourites list. Actually a good idea for a thread, maybe. I mostly watch TV series these days, both because the length of episodes makes it much easier to fit it into the day, and also because I genuinely think that good TV series are easier to find than good movies nowadays.

On a side note, I haven't been watching many movies lately, but I forgot to post about this one: The Greatest Beer Run Ever (2022) Nothing extraordinary, but a thoroughly enjoyable movie based on real events. Zac Efron plays Chickie Donohue, a fella everyone sees as a bit of a loser, who decides to travel from New York to Vietnam in the middle of the war in order to bring beers to his neighbourhood friends fighting there. 6.5/10

I know, and I tried several times... What I need is replacing Cruise with some deepfake throughout the movie Tom Hardy deepfake will do

Have played almost 40 hours of SWTOR and decided to subscribe. Really enjoying the game, it's right up my valley.
