That was brilliant today - just so much action, from start to finish there was a battle to watch or an incident to change it up. Lewis was brilliant in victory - he knew he has snatched one that he didn't deserve, and immediately made this clear with nice comments about Seb and Bottas, he's a really champion, and I think that's why I love him as driver. He knows when he's on top, and he always wants to be the best, so that when he wins and knows it isn't because of his driving but other factors, he isn't satisfied. Compare this to Seb in Australia and you see a difference. Who didn't love the Red Bulls racing?! But that crash was inevitable. I actually don't think you can place all the blame on Verstappen, because it isn't an isolated incident. What had gone on between the two of them throughout the race contributed and for that they are equally guilt. DR staying off the brakes for so long, other than being something he's really good at, was a direct consequence of previous actions by the pair imo - was a great battle. Alonso was superb to get up into 7th. Really felt for Grosjean too because that was a great drive, but let himself down. Going to be a great season

Rise above it all - great job For me, central midfield is a must. Dembele Is one of the most overrated players in the league, no consistency, no cutting edge and struggled with physical demands of a Poch system. We probably need a new RB because for me Trippier isn't good enough and Aurier has struggled - and then we need a wing forward/second striker that can actually play with or instead of Kane because Llorente just isn't able to deputise effectively. I think Alderweireld and Rose will go this summer - so will likely need replacements for them also. Could be a busy summer

Look at your popping in to my thread He looks promising, I only really had youtube to go off last year when he was linked to us, and we know that anyone can look good in clips so hard to judge - but he seems to have done pretty well for Roma, contributed with goals and assists and is developing. I think Italy is probably the right place for him at the moment but could see him going to England or Spain in a year or two

I don’t get that argument - of course he’s been highly successful in the past and I am sure Newcastle fan respect that, but at the same time the longer he stays at Arsenal, the less of a threat they become in the league and even clubs like Newcastle can start closing the gap on them. I hope Wenger remains for a very long time. He’s lost his touch over a full season - even if he can still churn out a cup win

Terrible driving from Bottas though - Seb did really well to get the win, and managed those tyres expertly, but even still there is no way Bottas shouldn't have been able to get past him. If the roles were reversed and it was Lewis chasing him down like that i'm very confident he'd have made the pass. Don't think Bottas is good enough to be driving for Mercedes personally. Far more talented drivers out there...although I guess that's what Lewis wants.
