Not even an age thing, just find the day really miserable, especially this year with everything going on in my life, but generally too, for no real reason

Certainly did - as a Caps fan thoroughly enjoyed it. This team is really good and will get better, but we've had exceptional teams in the past and then gone out in the second round to the Pens. When we did win it then it was a bit unexpected so not sure what to make of it.
  4. 150k offer has been there for ages though - he just didn’t want to work with Poch anymore
  5. I wonder what the agenda is here. I wonder who Mourinho is managing now. Hmmm
  6. It’s more the fact it’s a really undesirable job right now, with a squad full of gaping holes, a toxic fan base with completely unrealistic expectations and players that don’t seem to care at all
  7. Lose* Perhaps concentrate on actual education before starting on football

Cheers mate. 100% - there has to be a major culture shift which is why some of it not achievable in the short term and why things like proper careers IAG are so vital to give people the right options at all ages

Today we launched a report: https://labour.org.uk/wp-content/uploads/2019/11/Lifelong-Learning-Report-2019.pdf which I’ve been working on for 9 months since its launch and a few years prior to that to get it to that stage. Very proud of its recommendations and the party adopting it as policy, which if elected, could be a radical step to improving people’s lives and making a huge difference to the social, health and wellbeing of so many adult learners that have been lost from the system over the last decade. Not to mention help to close the massive skills gap in this country that keeps on growing. Sure some of you may have seen it in the media today if you’re following election coverage but just wanted to share in case anybody wanted to have a read.
  11. I don't like VAR as a concept for the reasons I've stated many times before. However the problem isn't with VAR now it's with the horribly incompetent officials that use it. No surprise as the standard of refereeing is at its lowest point I can remember that they also cannot make decisions accurately even with technology. Really you need an independent panel of qualified rule experts to take over the officiating of VAR
  12. Well he was born in London, grew up in England etc. but makes sense for those reasons, I just always wondered, thought it must be a marketing decision.
  13. Why does Albon race under the Thai flag and not British?
  14. Wasn't this about Solanke @Cicero ? - If so proven spot on. Time will tell on Tammy but a couple of goals against Norwich aren't really an indicator either way
  15. Not as far as I remember, CB or RB, maybe once in CM, but never LB. Cancelo definitely should become your first choice RB, better player than Walker.
  16. Yeah but Pep seems to like him at LB - and since he's probably played there the most out of anyone in your squad now bar Mendy seems the logical choice until Mendy is back
  17. Surely it will be Zinchenko at LB not Cancelo?
  18. Exactly, should be giving them new deals every 12-18 months imo. It's what we have always done until recently, problem is player power is increasing and players like Ramsey are showing the way. Watch Eriksen and Toby follow his example. Got to tie them down when you can because when they get down to 2 years and under all the cards shift into their hands
  19. This may have been said previously I haven't read back but think this could actually have been the best transfer window Chelsea could have asked for - and actually being forced into this situation will be so beneficial in the long run. You have a chance to clear out players, either ageing, ineffective or otherwise, and really take stock of what you have in the young players at the club. Something that just wouldn't have happened otherwise. You've got an incredible youth system - have done for many years - and a lot of talented players just waiting for a chance. You've also now got the prime opportunity to bring in a manger that bleeds Chelsea, in a situation that allows him the time to grow and develop with these young players that in no other situation he would have got at your club. Whilst there are certainly deficiencies in the squad, you have a chance to find out properly where they are, whilst gaining Champions League income, and being able to keep it aside to spend next year when you have a better idea of what you actually have to work with. For most clubs this would have been a disaster but I actually think long term this is a real positive for you. Finishing 3rd last year was absolutely critical though and now allows you the opportunities I've just described whilst having the cushion of huge financial reward.
