  1. No he didn’t. Why do you just make things up. De Zerbi too much of a loose cannon for us. Any chance he had of getting the job was ruined by his antics when we played them a few weeks ago
  2. Yes it is. It’s so negative. And very unnecessary. You can be hard to beat and good defensively and still be a great attacking force. At the height of Pochettino that’s what’s what we were. Fewest goals conceded and most goals scored in a season
  3. Maybe, maybe not. Think people underestimate what an attractive job spurs is though. Even with all these current issues, all the infrastructure is in place. You get extremely well compensated for it. It’s fairly low pressure in that you succeed and you look incredible and you don’t succeed and you can just blame the existing structures and problems. Win win.
  4. Absolutely not. As far down the list as possible. Three managers in a row playing negative football. That’s not what Spurs is about
  5. Ah sorry threw me with the wording thought you meant an English player. And yeah for sure. Best partnership statistically in premier league history by a distance now
  6. Kompany not actually on the shortlist as far as I’m aware. Nagelsmann seems to be the one they’re trying for If it’s not him I think it will be Arne Slot. The Feyenoord gaffer. i just want someone that plays good football, values coaching and integrates young players
  7. These are my thoughts from January and honestly they’re not too dissimilar now. I’ll do a proper post when I’m on my laptop but my thoughts on the problems we are having are linked. It’s an absolute circus right now. Levy has completely lost the fans. We’ve had vanity project managers that are past their best and that have to take partial blame for the failures. Dreadful football, a complete lack of coaching for the squad. In contes case he completely alienated the whole team with his style of management. I’ll go in to more details later but by the end there wasn’t a single player sad to see him go. Unfortunately those players cannot be let off the hook either. Same old players manager after manager that constantly fail. Squad players like Dier and Davies under Poch now playing every week. Lloris well past his sell by date. Plodders like Hojbjerg in the middle. We have some great attacking talent still and it’s not utilised. Son coming off a golden boot told to drop twenty yards deeper and get the ball in non dangerous areas to accommodate old man perisic. The next appointment is massive. These players need coaching, they need patterns of play, and attacking emphasis. Plus we have to have an overhaul. The old guard need to go. Time to go back to what made us successful, young, hungry footballers that want to take instruction and learn, and don’t have the history of failure tied to them. We need to change the mentality
  8. Our season has fallen apart in a week. Bentancur ACL is devastating. Out for the rest of the year Bissouma broken ankle out for months Lloris knee ligaments out for two months Even Sessegnon out for 6 weeks. I hate this club
  9. Tempting fate here but hasn’t had one of those for ages now. He had a spell of them but that’s in the past. No reason he can’t play on well into his 30s, never been reliant on pace. Brilliant footballer
  10. He could, of course. But it’s still something more meaningful at this stage of his career imo. It’s like any trophy he won at spurs would mean more than getting them as just part of a super team (unlikely now) I hope he wins something though, wherever it is. He deserves it
  11. Yes. Be absolutely shocked if he went abroad. All time premier league top goal scorer is far more meaningful as an accolade than moving to a cheat code club guaranteeing multiple trophies a year
  12. So @Chickasawwill be delighted, Richarlison out injured for 5-6 weeks with him, Bentancur, Davies coming back injured , not been a successful World Cup
  13. So BaDlY wRoNg I was about 10 seconds from being spot on An absolutely horrific first half performance devoid of any quality whatsoever. Thankful they rallied and just about did enough. But anyway, tell us more about coming back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 always means a winning run after!
  14. Reverse jinx works every time. Nobody has asked you to listen to them. You just don’t have a clue what you’re talking about. You also think Lucas Moura is a good player despite last night being one of the worst performances I’ve seen from any player ever, and that’s just standard for him. You have a weird vendetta against Richarlison, and I don’t really want to know the reasons why because I’m scared to hear them…but claiming vindication is absolutely bizarre. Anyway, glad we won, first half performances are abysmal and doesn’t feel sustainable yet we keep going. Need to get through the next three games hopefully with 4 points minimum. And rest everyone in the league cup
  15. What on Earth is he talking about?! Vindication for what exactly. Since he got injured we’ve got worse. Got battered at United, lost at home to Newcastle. Struggling without his workrate and that outlet. It’s just absolute nonsense. Bissouma has been very poor to be honest, had high hopes but he’s yet to deliver. Lenglet is fine, I like him, but nothing spectacular. Spence cannot sniff the lineup despite us having the worst RWB known to man playing every week. @Stan
  16. Na you’re fine, Madlad said so, don’t complain
  17. Really sad news, supposedly loved by the players.
  18. Of course not, but one swallow doesn’t make a summer. He’s a pretty dreadful, limited footballer, head down all the time, doesn’t score or assist, gets in Harry’s way. Sooner we sell him the better. Yes, Richy has been good, very happy with how he’s settled in
