  1. Brighton Away. Wasn’t a very high standard of play by our lot for most of the game. Occasionally there was small signs of what might become, but on the whole there was little change to how we finished last season. I guess it was to be expected and to be fair I wasn’t putting much on them to perform to the levels we all hope they reach. We should be thankful Brighton were no better than we have seen before and the extra two points from this fixture we managed to winkle out. When I saw our line-up my first thought was Frank using the game to put players in the shop window, although I am fairly certain Ruben has played himself into stay with us as nobody can be daft enough to want to sign him, be it sold or loan. Since his return from injury he has been very poor & we sure missed a trick no moving him on when his stock was high. James was outstanding for the most part, but I wouldn’t trust his defending over 38 games. Truth be told the same can be said about all four starting defenders. In Baseball they have a term “He has a hole in his swing” describing a batter who always misses the ball when pitched too in a certain area. I think we have been left with no doubt now, Kepa has holes all over his body. Timo is a player Pulisic is made of Chocolate Frank still a novice Drab performance, 3 points. That will do nicely.
  2. As long as there is obvious evidence come the end of the season that we are gelling into the winning team he is building for our long term future, then all is well.
  3. On the face of it the past few months for us Chelsea fans has been exciting as we waited patiently as the medias forever lengthening Chelsea shopping list slowly burned down to the truths. I don't have any complaints on the arrivals for the loss of Pedro & Willian. The little lady with the biggest office at Stamford Bridge has again lived up to her reputation for being a cut above all others wheeling n dealing in the transfer market. It will be interesting how much she manages to bring back in once a few of the no longer needed find new homes. I was already a huge fan of Hakim Ziyech, so I have a special interest in hoping he performs well, but truth be known I cant fault any of the signings, other being completely wrong footed on Silva. Didnt see that one coming & sure would love to have been present when Luiz n Willian found out he was coming. The two Germans are both top notch signings who have left us all with no doubt how important conversations between themselves & our young manager was to get them to London. There is alot to be said having former world greats in important positions at your club when recruiting talent who not long ago were watch them on TV. Petr & Frank are proving quite the double act and “Agent” Rudiger is chiseling out a lucrative career after playing by the sound of things. All the extra bodies, obviously chosen by Frank, will fuel the opposing fans numpties claiming he is now under pressure to win this season. I really dont see it as that. As long as there is obvious evidence come the end of the season that we are gelling into the winning team he is building for the long term future, then all is well. Sort the fucking defense out & we are 3/4 there. What is wrong with Leicester? I thought the idea of employing Rodgers was to stop players thinking there is better elsewhere. They are having real problems keeping hold of anybody who shows an ounce of form. You have to wonder if Brendon has struck a deal of earning a commission of any player he manages to sell for more than whatever book value have on their squad! Must be hard being a Leicester fan during the windows. Chilwell started at the same price as they got for slaphead Maguire, yet we get him for around the same price as Man City paid out for each of their 4 full backs. I am sure you are all aware, Ashley on returning to Chelsea was asked to evaluate a number of left full backs. While Chilwell did not come out as top, Ashley said he has the most potential of all he was asked to run his eye over. We shall see if his eye is any good. I see Tottenham Hotspur drew Lokomotiv Plovdiv in the Qualifying second round of the Europa league. For those of you who are not sure who they are, Tottenham are a little club situated in North London.
  4. Lots of our fellow Chelsea fans singing the praises of Jody & I have written in the past we may find other clubs interested in him as their manager in the near future. The words you quote of his were brutally honest at the time and probably points towards the pressure those managers were under to deliver. Those of us who have been regulars at the club for 50 years know the youth team was always the life blood of the club. While the success Romans money has helped us to enjoy, seeing young guys come through under Frank & counting to 5 or 6 youth products on the pitch at one time in some games used to be what the club was all about. Long may it continue, but I do get the feeling, one or two maybe moved on to thin out the squad. Shame What would you do with CHO next season?
  5. Yes, Frank has got an easy time of it (not from me), but surly that is to be expected baring the situation he inherited. He, along with others in his family are darlings of the media which also helps, however, the build them up before knocking them down jumping up n down on their head our media are famous for will still apply to Frank if his team does not progress. To end the season with silverware would be wonderful, but it's not essential. I cant think of many other Chelsea managers afforded that luxury. His appointment has proved a masterstroke as it unified the match day attending fans which are always the most important fanbase at any club.
  6. I can tell its really going to bug you your club being known in history as the "Furlough Champions" of the Asterisk season.
  7. There is no doubt Frank has managed to come up smelling of Roses in his first full season as manager. While he accepted the duff hand of no transfers of his making, loss of the leagues best player and being forced to make a decision on the one defensive player who was comfortable playing left centre half position, he has managed to get what is the ultimate minimum for Chelsea Football Club. Looking back over the season he should have learn't a lot about his players and from what we can tell by the signings he has made and others linked too, he saw our problem of killing off sides as the biggest to be fixed. Many will argue it’s the other end of the pitch which is the most concerning and after dropping the goalkeeper for a second time we must imagine Frank has had enough of Kepa. While its exciting to read Havertz Rice ect are on their way, the one name which has been catapulted to the top of needs is that of a goalkeeper. Points of note during the season. From Dec 7th 2019, away to Everton to the break of lockdown, funny enough again against Everton, we only took less than half from a possible 42. Some might say the break came at the right time for Frank, he sure saw Giroud through different eyes after that Everton home fixture. One can only wonder if he had made that decision earlier, how much more comfortable we would have been? Against the clubs who finished in the bottom 8 positions we took just over half from 48. It’s a minor miracle we managed to get enough points against the top half to find ourselves top four. So, a more experienced manager next season, flair players added plus the Cherry on top about to sign and just some basic defensive improvement to protect the new Goalkeeper, we have every reason to think next season we should not have to wait till the final game of the season to cement our top 4 position. Any more than that we will have to wait and see, but we all should feel much more positive on our future. To finish off the season with a lump of silverware would be lovely for Frank and remove the “never won anything as a manager” tag from Frank nice and early. Opposition have run into a slice of form late on, so I doubt it will be an easy game. Overall, wonderful end to the League season, well deserved praise for our Frank with the understanding we will expect MUCH more next season from him and his team, because next season it truly will be HIS team.
  8. I dont know about his eyes, but I understand the United club Doctor has said De Gea no longer has to wear a face mask during training after diagnosing he currently cant catch anything Yes, I fully accept our sack of Spanish shit is equally worthy of any amount of criticism, but after your Ernie Wise "Doctor" set up line, I couldnt resist mate.
  9. Lots of evidence to clear the shit from Franks eyes last night which should benefit our team & help us move forward. First, there now can be no doubt what so ever Kepa isnt good enough to be our starting Goalie. It's going to be a very bitter pill for the club to swallow, but whoever brought him to the club needs to be removed with him. With that it brings finding a replacement top of needs list. 2nd, I have been banging on about it all season. A natural left footed central defender is a must. It is truly painful watching our current guys and underlines in thick print how big a decision Frank made letting David Luiz go at the start of the season. Yes, he is right footed, but his left foot is better than all the current CH's right feet in the squad and there is plenty of evidence he is comfortable either foot. I am not saying his defending is wonderful, but again we have plenty of evidence he is no worse than our current batch. Frank needs to put that early decision right. Again I have been saying the same all season. Frank has proved his coaching skills & staff are unable to sort out our defending, mainly at dead ball situations. For fuck sake employ someone who can sort them out or the owner might be forced to make that decision for you. Last night should leave no doubt in his head, if Pulisic is fit enough for the bench, then he should be fucking starting. Another basic mistake & one Frank has made many times this season. Lastly I have to mention a moment in the game where Jorginho could have won over many Chelsea fans. Their 5th goal, Jorginho was given his "Terry Fenwick moment" opportunity. Those of you who do not know that Fenwick moment need to look up what is said to be Maradona's best ever goal for Argentina, running the length of the pitch in Mexico before slotting the ball past Shilton with his foot (Not his cheating bastard hand). Before he reached the box, Fenwick had the opportunity to launch Maradona into row Z. Alas he missed that opportunity to take one for the team by allowing him to run straight past him & the rest is history. Jorginho, last man in defence also missed his opportunity by running as thou he was carry a fridge on his back, yet again proving defensively he is about as much use as fart in a Space Suit. Lets see what Sunday brings.
  10. Interesting show on Talksport Radio where a number of agents were asked to offer two signings they expect Chelsea & other top clubs to make before the start of next season. Top two names for us……..Havertz & Rice Obviously they could be agents for actors or estates, but it is interesting the weight behind Havertz grapevine has become ever stronger since he removed liking the Werner to Chelsea transfer on his social media.
  11. Yes it is unfortunate what has happened at Leicester at what has turned out to be a crucial end of season. Injuries and suspensions have been a major factor opening up the 3rd slot for automatic CL qualification. I believe at one time Leicester were comfortable 10 points clear of 5th. Its not over yet. We have proved to be unreliable\inconsistent and United are looking punchy. It's a real shame West Ham are already safe as they can prove to be a real handful when needing points. That’s our fault from a few weeks back. Unreliable\Inconsistent.
  12. Well done Frank. It’s about time something went his way. While United may have got positive results in the previous 3 fixtures, it wasn’t by their performances on the pitch and by the way they chose to set up at Wembley, they knew that fact too! Thanks to their goalie for the 2nd, a feeling we know all too well with our rubbish Spaniard and much thanks to useless waste of space Odi who killed the clean sheet. Blotted Franks copy book for the day with poor choice of substitution. Immediate thoughts after the game, we are further forward than them by quite a margin with adds already coming and possible more to come, plus what seems to be a never ending conveyor belt of youth products Frank is happy to introduce. Obviously they could smash out 300 million in the window, but one thing they have proven since the demise of Sir Alex, they fail to get who they want more than often. Also a plus for Frank was his spotlighting of all the penalties United have benefited by this season. I am not saying it was because of this they didn’t get the spot kick in the first half when Rudiger and Zouma, not a left peg between them managed to wait for the dropping ball to get over to their right side before up-ending the United player. They sure have got many weaker appeals. The Leicester Manager should have taken note of the game as Frank may well have shown the blue print of how to winkle out a positive result. Although I dont think they have the personnel to be able to play that formation. Hands up who thinks Frank will do the same on Wednesday?
  13. He will have had his Mulligan season where truth be said he has done better than most imagined. He is a bright boy and will know more will be expected of the team next. Losing his position will be determined by how long we are still going for the main pot. His standing with the club will count for a lot, however the list of potential replacements will be longer than normal if the alleged young squad is put together by the end of the summer window.
  14. Unconvincing performance but the correct result for the club. Norwich are very weak, lucky for us and didn’t really offer anything going forward. They were helped by another clueless starting line up from our young manager. At least he got the Center forward right from the start this time, although Giroud missed plenty of chances to make the game far more of a stroll than it turned out to be. Appreciate I must sound like a broken record on this subject, but judging by both internet football media sites & feedback left here since the Jorginho suspension and his re-introduction to the starting line up after the two preferred players injuries, even those who don’t get it are at last seeing the light. The passenger has been roasted after two games where his play has been exposed after seeing others play in that role in a far quicker and effective manor. As I have said since almost the start of his Chelsea career, he is a passenger in the team and for me, when more robust physical teams get at us he often leaves us 10 v 11 from the word go. Sheffield United is a perfect example of this. However, last nights game illuminated something which I think is going to ruffle more feathers of those unfortunate Jorginho lovers. Kovacic and Jorginho should never start games together. For me, I believe Jorginho brings Kovacic down a level or two. The short repetitive nothing passes between the two which more often or not pins us down on the left hand side of the pitch handicaps our fluent play. Without Jorginho, Kovacic isn’t as close to the other players and is forced to be more expansive with his play. I thought last nights midfield was as weak as we have offered all season and sure did nothing through the minutes they were together to dispel that. For me, I would have asked Kovacic to play in the middle flanked by Mount and Barkley who both cover far more ground & move the ball quicker. As much as I want to be positive about our Ruben, for me he isn’t back to the level where he should get a starting birth in games we need to win. Everyone is entitled to their opinion, just be aware those who still nail their bollocks to the passenger are having their football knowledge exposed in the most amusing manor. I look forward to having a beer n banter with you once we all get together again. So we went into the game saddled with a huge Anchor dragging around the pitch at Championship level allowing Norwich to still be in the game at the final whistle. Yet again its down to Frank and my two hopes for the summer are we get a left footed CH comfortable on the ball n physical enough to stand our league football and Frank learns enough to stop making poor judgements on line-up and formations. Our central defenders last night had absolutely nothing to do but still managed to look like a couple of three legged clowns without a left peg between them. I am not exactly sure what going to happen ChelseaTotty. Through my season ticket and other tickets I have purchased for away fixtures my loyalty total is high so if it does become 1 seat in four or whatever guidelines are made the rule I am hopeful I will get in.
  15. Hey there can’t be anyone of us who didn’t accept a result like this could happen to us from what we have seen since the return of the Asterisk season, While we can look irresistible going forward at times, we are also the pin up boys for weak pussyfoot defending not seen at our club in decades. Even when we were shit, & I was there, the defending was full of heart n commitment. Can anyone honestly say those two utmost important ingredients are evident in our team? Disgusted with Frank. Its ok pointing fingers & stating he had learned a lot about certain Chelsea players, but how about the managers decision making, both before n during the game? Since the return we have been beaten by a team with 10 behind the ball & now a team who pressed way up the pitch. Neither tactic was a surprise. West Ham have been doing the same thing to us for years and yesterdays opponents have earned a huge reputation for the way they were set up. Hardly Rocket science! Yet Frank failed in both fixtures & yesterday for me was down to him 100%. He did not adapt to what everyone knew was coming. He has stressed it is very important to him that we have the capability to be set up in many different formations & have the ability to handle anything new which is thrown at us during a game. Surely both these said games are ideal opportunities for the manager to show off his philosophy? Suffering the game again this morning I have come the only conclusion that makes sense. Frank & the players already know City are going to be sunk on Monday.
  16. Jorginho Agent's pressing Pin's into his Billy Gilmour and N'Golo Kante Dolls has come up trumps. Unless Frank looks towards James in his future position? Surely not?
  17. Shocking performance. I am so tired of dominating teams for long periods only to be fighting a rear guard action for the final 15 mins of the match. Yes we really missed Kante infront of the four, but the truth is we are wide open to any team who decide to have a go. It’s the major fault against Franks year in charge. 4 league games to go and we have not improved defensively and you could argue we have got worse. The goalie is a mistake that will need to be fixed in the near future. When pressured on their first goal, Frank deflected by speaking only on the late great save made by the goalie. Whoever signed needs to lose their job. Christensen is weak, but when alongside James it’s the blind leading the blind. Billy is neat and will end up being called the Crab if he does not improve his distribution forward. Many calling Mount our player of the season. There are two better. William & Pulisic. Granted Mason has played in many games & not let us down. The other two have got us many points over the season & for me warrant the nod before Mason. However, I would not begrudge Mason if it comes his way. One thing is for sure, it won’t be Jorginho. What’s with Frank? It’s as thou he has been reading my Game day attending members postings for the last two seasons & seen the light! Lol. Well either mine or OldManChopper’s LOL. In saying that when he did get on the pitch he looked far more assured than Billy. Lastly what a colossus of a game from Zouma. Two great games on the trot from him in my mind means he is due one of his other games, so we need to have someone on the bench ready n waiting. It will be VERY interesting to see if the Palace players put as much effort into their game against Man Utd in a couple weeks? There are pages one could write on how poorly we played unable to keep Palaces heads under the water. Quite frankly Frank, fucking employ someone to sort out our team without the ball cause its plain to see, you aint got a Scooby’s. ------ Sorry to see Gary go down like that.
  18. Plenty of Chelsea outlets nailing their nuts to Kai Havertz being the next signing through the door. Class act, but we are hardly light in his area of the pitch. Plus, how come our new kits get leaked so often? 2nd kit is leaked by the same outlet who managed to get the first kit. footheadlines
  19. I must start this off by saying I don’t think I have wanted a Chelsea manager to succeed as much as I do with our Frank. The rarest Bird of all, an educated English footballer from a professional football family, he has always struck me as someone who would seamlessly move from pitch to sideline. The time between the last two games I have entered into much debate with fellow Chelsea fans who’s opinion I respect. Some are of the opinion Frank will hold us back from coming to fruition through inexperience & unable to find the correct balance between homegrown’s & signings. Others like myself have been very critical of many of his decisions through the season especially the length of time he allowed Tammy to keep Giroud off the pitch, a decision I believe has left us still with a question mark over our CL qualification. I think its very important to state, while I am not enthusiastic in his performance so far this season, I hold a belief he will get better & make more correct calls as he gets more time in the seat & understanding of his players. While there are some who feel his position may be questioned without CL next season, I believe the Club & owner are of a mind he stays come what may. Last nights performance underlines how poor a result West Ham was. Granted, Watford were not the best, but with a few selection tweaks, the team improved by a huge percentage over Wednesday night. Obviously the inclusion of Giroud from the start helped. I am deeply sorry to say, Tammy when selected from the start has replaced Jorginho as the passenger in the team. The level of performance between Tammy & Giroud is alarming & we must admire our young manager keeping faith with his start of the season CF choice, but while we still have a chance of top four, the Frenchman must start. At last he swapped Dave over to the other side. Alas, while it kinda fixes left flank of a back four, it weakens right side defensively. Agreed with the Rudiger decision, however Christensen is a huge liability who also needs replacing. The way Danny Wellbeck ran around Christensen at the end of the game was everything you need to evaluate the defender. Zouma continues to put in fair performances when starting. It’s just when he is slightly off his game it’s truly painful watching. Kante played well & it was nice to hear Glenn Hoddle backing Franks decision to only play the one infront of the defence. As he said, “when you have the best in the world in his position, play him there”. While his distribution is not on Pirlo’s level, the extra comfortable player on the ball infront of him should allow him easy passes to complete, as the case last night. Much kudos to both Barkley and Mount. The latter gets through plenty of work n makes me smile whenever we get a shooting range free kick. He is always in the group over the ball. Never gets the nod, but yesterday, after a number of chances came our way in the first half which were wasted by the usual suspects, Mount got his chance, who promptly followed the others into hitting his effort into the wall! Lol. I like him & continue to hold a big hope for him, although he is far too friendly with the media (pet hate of mine for all players) & needs to become invisible when off the pitch. Being so friendly probably helps his MOTM awards. Barkley (the real man of the march) again was very good. I love his work rate without the ball & took note of him busting a gut getting back to help defend in the final minutes of the game. I continue to believe the more he plays n gains confidence the better he will become for the club. The assist for Giroud was sublime & wonderful to rid the haters of their how many league games without a goal stat. Mins on the pitch is the real stat. Thrilled to hear Frank say the club have opened up dialog with Willian over new contract. Even those Chelsea fans who find him the yuck side of Marmite are finding it difficult to fault the guy of late. Giroud gave us so much more. If only we could put his football brain into Tammy. I have spoken up for Pulisic since we signed him. He is the most exciting player at the club since Hazard. Love his directness. Hope they get him to muscle up a bit as he looks a tumble away from 3 weeks out. Would suggest he gets out of the habit of glancing at the officials when he is about to hit the deck. Excellent performance & result. Plenty of difficult games ahead, but huge optimism we have a wonderful chance of cracking times ahead. Word is young Billy was stunned being carted off at half time at Leicester, so Franks decision to over look Jorginho & insert Billy for Kante late on could well be a sign we are looking for, the manager improving in his role. However, Billy needs to be on the same muscle plan as Pulisic. The effortless way Will Hughes knocked Billy off the ball late on was more than a eyebrow raiser.
  20. Well its been plain for anyone with an ounce of football knowledge, our defence has more holes in it than an evening toasted Crumpet. Last night we reached a new level of incompetence and I woke this morning to the news Christensen is hoping to sign a new 5 year contract with us before next season. Where have the days Pep touching him up escorting him off the pitch gone? At the time I said sell him!! Man we cant catch a break! I have said it before and I’ll say it again, those giving Alonso stick do not understand football. He is a wing back and anything he does wrong in a 4 is down to the bloke selecting him. The same goes for the other useless Left wing back we have on the books. Talking of that bloke who picks the team. As far back as the very start of the season I was calling for Frank to employ someone to sort the defending out. I watched the after game press conference where he was asked about our defending and sure enough he answers as thou he is still in denial. Pulisic outstanding Tammy passenger Willian another above average performance Christensen and Ruduger no better than Sunday morning level. What was Dave doing? Who signed that goalie? Midfield controlled a game West Ham set up to hit on the break. Lastly, Reuben Loftus-Cheek, why on earth is he getting airtime in such important fixtures? He looks two yards behind the pace of the games. More poor management. Well done West Ham. My phone rang within minutes of the final whistle where my West Ham buddy was full of beans, as he should have been. However, he also informed me the last time West Ham did the double over us, they got relegated! They arnt very good, but they sure were good enough to do us over.
  21. Strange game at Leicester. I didnt like the look of the opening selection and while I never imagined we would open so poorly, we can be thankful that Maddison was missing as I am sure he wouldnt have wasted all the opportunities of easy possession that were gifted by our mob. While the manager is getting slaps on the back from his "bravery" 3 man subs, I tend to think the bloke who sent out that starting shower of shit should be stuck up against a wall n reminded plenty of others could be given his job. If its true what he is alleged to have said to the players at half time, I got to say it brought a smile to my face. It the kind of stuff the whole club has needed to hear for a number of years. Unluckiest player of the day was Tammy who had a wonderful finish ruled out for offside. I think we all agree, he really does need a goal. Barkley continues to offer more n more to the team, although he is becoming as hit or miss as Willian on breakaways with the ball at his feet. Passing while busting a gut forward sure isnt his strong point, but overall I still think he is an absolute steal and prove to be a key player in the future. ------------------ Declan Rice returning Andre Onana replacing Kepa who is off to Valencia for a couple of years Kai Havertz keen to join Timo at Stamford Bridge, if his first choice in Spain prove to be potless and the Leicester left back said to be refusing to rule out a move to London. All these stories making the rounds, but for me none of those deals are as important as finding a natural left sided center half who is solid in the battle and comfortable on the ball. Yes, a very rare Bird, but one we need to find before we are complete.
  22. Yes, to be fair too you since I wrote this on Pulisic elsewhere a couple of others have commented on his ball retention, or lack of it at times. However, the point I am making, of this seasons squad, when all are fit & available, from strict performances on the pitch, the boy is the only shoe-in of the players who play in his end of the pitch. Granted he has plenty of room to develop as you say. Baring in mind the high numbers of people who questioned his signing before he arrived at the club, we should be very happy with what we have seen from him during this/his stop start *asterisk* season.
  23. What to me looked very much like a training game in the first half as Chelsea allowed City to dominate possession, turned into a little better game in the second half. I have read a lot of you here are making quite a bit about this performance and result. Not for me. I don’t think we can label this as two sides paying at 100%. The way City knocked the ball about with ease without bothering to look for killer forward passes made it plain they were not going for it. Their managers selection forward wise underlines this and to be fair with the man, I very much agree with his words on using all players at this time. His starting selection sure helped Christensen. I see you lovers of his continental defending are out in force praising his performance. Nobody pointing out he wasn’t up against a forward for most of the game and when City players did close to him they resembled no more than a above average sized woman. Granted Sterling and company are wonderful players, but size wise they are not a handful. Still, credit where credit due, he had probably he best game of the season thanks to their selection. Our goalie continues to be the biggest waste of money we have had on our books for a long time and yes, we have signed a few Turkeys in our time, but nobody for that amount of money n length of contract. I thought Alonso played his heart out in what was a very brave selection by his manager. No need to go over his history n a back four and yes he got skinned a couple of times, but overall the question of Chilwell being any better defensively must continue to be asked. Midfield got through a lot of work chasing the ball around without fully pressing as City dominated the ball. Can’t fault their effort running around trying to put out fires before they lead to anything more, but they too benefited from the lack of urgency City showed. With the high line City seem to always play, how annoying was it when Giroud got into a couple of first half foot races with Fernandinho when a more light across the ground player would have had a good chance in winning. By the way Fernandinho , Cesc says hello Willian had a very good game and was very dominant in his running any from the City players which lead to the penalty. I understand he has the reputation at the training ground as the “Pied Piper” with the young players following him around like lambs for extra training of all sorts of football skills. I really hope the club and himself can come to fruition on a new deal. 2 years and a option on a 3rd would seem to click all the boxes for both sides, but hey ho, wait n see. Lastly Pulisic. Looking more n more a bargain of a signing. I don’t know any fellow Chelsea fan who does not have him as a shoe-in starter when fit and we must look forward to some exciting games next season when the new guys are available too. Eyes firmly set on up the table. More of the same results will make the end of this *asterisk* season remembered for the emergence of a possible great English manager.
  24. Villa are poor but not as poor as our central defensive pair yesterday. While exciting signings at the business end of the pitch points towards maybe a better percentage of chances finished, our defending is atrocious. Each time Rudiger plays the left side of the defence, its as thou he sulks and his performance suffers. Christensen has been much the same all season and I would have thought a decision will need to be made on his Chelsea future before long. However, as bad those two were, someone else was far worse during his 5 mins on the pitch. Young James managed to lose the ball 3 times in the few mins he was on the pitch. PATHETIC! The boys looked very fit and most did plenty of running so that was pleasing. A couple of questionable starting selections. Reuben Loftus-Cheek starting wide left? Not sure about that. Anyway, we managed to get away with it, more by the lack of decent opposition than anything we produced. As someone that goes to most of the games live, when I am forced to watch my club on TV I have got into the habit over a number of years of switching the commentators off during the game. Lets face it they talk bollocks and we dont need them when sitting in the stands around the country. Anyone else miss the names of the Villa players on the back of their shirts? I can name two maybe three Villa players at a push and I found it very frustrating not being able to put a name to a players contribution. Yesterdays result was one of the few times this season we have taken advantage of the teams around us dropping points. An advantage that may last only four days or so, but a welcome change all the same. ------------------------------------------------------------------ So that's two exciting signings so far with us continuing to be linked with a number of others. I am not a fan of the Leicester left back defensively & others linked to us in that position tend to be more eye catching going forward than what should be their Bread n Butter, defending. I think its very important while we are one of the few with cash on the hip, we make signings which instantly improve the team, which I feel sure both Hakim Ziyech & Timo Werner will do.
  25. Hope all my fellow Chelsea fans n families who frequent this thread are happy n healthy. Stay vigilant. Boris n his gang don't know their heads from their asses.
