Think that COVIDIOTS thread needs an update.

Pretty much how I feel with ours really, especially when most of the population in Wales is in some form of local lockdown. To give an idea, we had six deaths reported today and 398 new cases reported, of which: 74 were in Cardiff 51 in Rhondda-Cynon-Taf 15 in Caerphilly (the first to go into local lockdown) 17 in Newport Conwy, Flintshire, Wrexham and Denbighshire in North Wales have just gone into local lockdown and the cases reported today are as follows. 16 in Conwy 15 in Flintshire 25 in Wrexham 7 (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) in Denbighshire Yes, cases are increasing, yes, we have had more deaths and yes, I'm aware that local lockdowns are meant to minimise the risk of spreading it, but this is beyond ridiculous. The sad thing is that the Welsh Government (I hate mentioning this but I have to mention that it's run by Labour, hence my comments towards Labour in general) will immediately blame the UK Government if the tourism industry goes tits up and unemployment increases in Wales. The sad thing is that people will lap it up as if Drakeford and Co are 'keeping us safe' by taking a cautious approach, yet this will do the complete opposite when you effectively ace unnecessary restrictions on most of the country.

Someone's head has to roll for this. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-54351724 Being selfish, this is only a short drive away from me so hoping it doesn't spread further afield.

Playstation/Xbox Username/Gamertags
Bluebird Hewitt replied to JoshBRFC's topic in Gaming & Technology
Not that anyone cares but I was surprised that my Xbox Live account was still active, considering that I haven't used it for some time. While I won't be getting one of the new gen consoles immediately, I will admit that Gamepass is making me lean more towards Xbox this time around (especially as Sony don't seem to know why they're doing at present). If anyone's interested, add Bluebird Hewitt (yes, how original). -
Conwy, Denbighshire, Flintshire and Wrexham are to go into local lockdown as of 6pm on Thursday, meaning that 2.5m people will be under restrictions in some way or another. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-54346608 For anyone interested, our population is between 3.1m - 3.2m, meaning that only 600k - 700k have no lockdown restrictions as of yet. Don't worry though, we'll look to decimate our tourism by looking to charge a tax on those visiting Snowdonia. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-54328471 No doubt our lot will blame the UK Government when given a chance again.

So Torfaen, Neath Port Talbot and Vale of Glamorgan will join pretty much everywhere else (bar Monmouthshire) in South Wales in local lockdown from 6pm tomorrow, meaning that the majority of the population in Wales will have restrictions in some way or another. I'm sure Drakeford and Gething will find some way to blame others bar themselves though.
-
Cardiff, Swansea and Llanelli join the others in lockdown, meaning that half of Wales is now under lockdown restrictions. Stupidly, Llanelli's starts at 6pm tomorrow, while Cardiff and Swansea starts at 6pm Sunday.

Finished Yakuza 5 but want to do some of the extra things on the game before moving on and getting Yakuza 6 and finishing Kiryu's story. Should be perfect timing as Yakuza 7 (different characters and genre) will be out by the time I get close to finishing 6 at least.

This is going to be the start of the thick wankstains stockpiling again isn't it? https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-leeds-54283153

I'll be honest, Gamepass is pushing me a little towards an Xbox this time round. My mates will likely get the PS5, but they don't play online anyway and my work colleagues are online with Xbox.

Not really tech news, but I did find this a little funny. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-54239180

That's what I mean. It's fucking stupid. I can understand the protection aspect, but when you can still go out and get wankered while mingling with people you likely won't know, it makes it more farcical.
-
I fully understand what you mean there (though the part in bold would be more from the Welsh Government in this instance rather than the Treasury) in that it needs to be delicately balanced for both ends (economic and health reasons). However, as you mentioned afterwards, it really makes no sense that I'm now told that I can't see family (unless outside, which considering my nan can barely walk, is damn near impossible), but I can go to the pub (which Gething even said was the evidence behind why my area has seen a spike in cases), be surrounded with complete unknowns, get wankered and leave at 11. In fact, after reading the responses since I posted last, these quotes pretty much sum up my general feelings about these new lockdown rules. I think DeadLinesman's one here is slightly different as I think we can see others in our back garden, but the general quote still stands as you can easily meet them in the pub 'by coincidence'.

Get your FIFA 20 box, change the '0' to '1' and there you go. FIFA 21 is yours without the need to spend $6493626 Aussie dollars.

The Non-League Thread
Bluebird Hewitt replied to Bluebird Hewitt's topic in The Football League Forum
Pretty much echo this for us as well. Formed a ridiculous attack with Chopra and Bothroyd as well at the time. -
Yeah, this is all starting to get tiresome now (the rules, not you). Our Health Minister Vaughan Gething had mentioned that there was evidence that people going to pubs and not adhering to rules was one of the key factors in cases rising where I am, yet the clown has decided that families can't meet up, but pubs can.......... stay........ open? But don't worry, closing one hour early will make all the difference and eliminate the virus completely from here.
-
There we go. Just been announced that my area will go into lockdown from tomorrow at 6pm. Clusters involved a rugby club, a pub in the lower Rhondda valley and 'a club outing to Doncaster races that stopped off at a series of pubs on the way'. Yet despite this, licenced premises must now be shut by 23:00. Good job everyone. Selfish pricks.

Yeah, I read that it was a very good remaster. Played it a little back in the day (christ I sound old saying that), but not a huge amount.

It's a decent chunk but the way Epic have been going about this is making them look like tits atm. They make a ton as is from Fortnite and all they basically want to do here is bypass the 30% (which every other developer still has to pay, including Epic themselves when they agreed the terms) so they keep it for themselves, all while making out as if they're doing it 'for the greater good', making mock videos about Apple and effectively using its fanbase (which are mainly kids) to rally against Apple, such as using #freeFortnite on Twitter. Apple are no saints by any means but the more I read about this, the more I side with Apple.

Apple now suing Epic Games for breach of contract. https://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2020-09-09-now-apple-is-suing-epic-games-for-breach-of-contract More at 11.

Similar with us, though the deaths have thankfully remained low. Looking like my area could be going into lockdown again (making that assumption as though the clusters are more in the Rhondda Valleys, we all fall under the same council). My mate is two weeks from his trip to Cyprus for his wedding as well.

Yeah, I'm ashamed of the near 200 hours I put into Yakuza 0.

I'm ashamed to say that I haven't played Breath of the Wild at all yet.

Tbf, my PS4 is still running fine from the day I got it. My Wii back in 2006, bar the odd crash now and then, has had no issues either. The 360 however was a different matter (we all know about that). The issue I mainly had was the lack of good games really until the end of 2014. I had Battlefield 4 (very good bar the bugs), Killzone (pretty but nothing special), FIFA 14 (looked ok but typical annual installment) and Injustice 1 (PS3 tart up) at the beginning, as well as Resogun already on the console (which I actually quite liked). But it says something when I didn’t buy another game between those in December 2013 until Alien Isolation's release in October 2014. I have too many other games to play regardless, continuing with the Yakuza series for a start (Like a Dragon is out in two months).
