Don't mean to bring the mood down but found my brother's cat dead outside today. Laying in a small pool of blood. We couldn't see what could've caused it. Didn't seem like a cut or a bite or anything. Thinking he might've bled from his mouth. At first thought he was just lying down outside, sleeping. Stroked his back, didn't move a muscle. Feel sad. Think I'll feel even sadder later. RIP Apollo
  2. The only reason to bet on your own games is that you want to feel in some sort of control over the outcome of the bet. Maybe his gambling addiction drove him that far but I don't buy it not affecting his performance. Hopefully during his time out of football, he can develop a healthier relationship with gambling or just stop altogether.
  3. Their defence looks fucked because of injuries to Varane & Lisandro. Maguire has probably been their best player this season as well. Evans realistically was supposed to the 5th choice behind that lot and Lindelof. Their midfield looks light when it comes to a forward thinking midfielder that can play centrally which is why they brought Mount in. Even if he's not a starter, their squad needed another player in that position. Eriksen seems done and van der Beek never got started. Bruno is the only one and he's only good 50% of the time. Now does Mount fit their system? I don't know because they don't seem to have one.
  4. To be fair, he's only just got there. Sancho & Antony will take some beating when it comes to bad transfers as well.
  5. Netanyahu has wanted to do this for a long time. There is no "we regretfully have to" angle to this. This is him living out his dream. Israelis dying is just the excuse he needed to go from close to the line, to fully over the line.
  6. I was going off of @OrangeKhrush saying he didn't bet on any matches that he was involved...
  7. The Rest Is Football is quite good. Different from most football podcasts as they don't necessarily focus on previewing/reviewing weekly matches. More of a general discussion about football past and present from the perspective of ex-footballers.
  8. Sucks for Newcastle. Harsh ban in my opinion, there should be a direct link to match fixing if it's a lengthy ban like this in my opinion. Still stupid from Tonali though.
  9. Happy for Eddie to get a hattrick. Sheffield United though aren't very good. Hard to even see them competing to stay up.
  10. Ah, you're one of those. Defend Israel's psychotic behaviour that has been going on for a long time and call anyone criticising it "antisemitic".

  13. Brilliant from Jesus for the two goals. Hopefully his injury isn't anything serious. 3 goals in 3 games. If only he could carry that scoring form into the league.
  14. Not a great performance but conceding a goal that was a penalty that probably shouldn't have been a penalty scored by a player that probably should've been sent off and a goal that was supposed to be a cross does still feel like we got short changed. As for Raya, all we've done is introduce an element of risk at the back. Never been a massive fan of keepers like him and Onana. Even if they pull off being a ball playing keeper, it doesn't really add that much. There's no visible, positive impact in Raya's distribution compared to Ramsdale either. Especially not one that's worth dropping Ramsdale. Play the better keeper.
  15. Mudryk headed it right on to Saliba's arm at close range. How is that a penalty?
  16. Hoping we can finally put out our first choice lineup with Saka, Partey, and Martinelli back starting.
  17. Liverpool 3-1 Everton, 12.30 Bournemouth 1-1 Wolves Brentford 2-1 Burnley Man City 3-2 Brighton Newcastle 2-0 Crystal Palace Nottm Forest 2-1 Luton Chelsea 1-3 Arsenal, 17.30 Sheff Utd 0-2 Man Utd, 20.00 Aston Villa 2-2 West Ham, 16.30 Tottenham 1-1 Fulham, 20.00

  19. That's the IDF's angle. Which makes it completely untrustworthy as they're an extremely unreliable source of info. Especially on their own war crimes.
