  1. Switzerland & Turkey have at least been a good watch. Netherlands not too bad either. Portugal, France, and England have been terrible.
  2. Either of these teams making it to the semi finals is a bad look for football.
  3. Israel continuing to be cunts. No surprise there.
  4. Actually looking forward to how it comes together. I can see it working.
  5. I think the Demiral one is more of an issue because it's associated with an extremist group rather than just being a symbol of a country. Hard to say if he genuinely did it as a shout out to The Grey Wolves though. It's supposedly a symbol of Turkey even away from that group which is why it doesn't seem like it can be directly compared to a Nazi salute. Could he have genuinely done it just to mean "Yay Turkey" rather than "Turks are the master race, we're gonna kill everyone else"? He seemingly hasn't said much to defend himself against the allegations from what I can tell.
  6. Great to see the Tories get decimated but would've been nice if there were more left leaning gains.
  7. All players suggested have been shit. With that said, no one's scoring many.
  8. Demiral banned for his Kevin Nash celebration. Will be a big miss for Turkey.
  9. Friday 5th July, 2024 Spain 2-2 Germany, 17.00 Portugal 0-1 France, 20.00 Saturday 6th July, 2024 England 2-1 Switzerland, 17.00 Netherlands 3-2 Turkey, 20.00
  10. Crazy game. Both teams gave everything and everyone looked like they were on the verge of passing out.
  11. Diogo Costa the hero of the game. Keeping a clean sheet in a shootout is some going.
  12. 2 own goals. 1 penalty. 0 goals from open play. Into the quarter finals. A final between the 2 favourites, France & England, will surely be a great watch.
  13. France continuing to look shit. Spain & Germany have been the only impressive teams so far.
  14. Bellingham has largely been shit like the rest of the attacking players but he scored 2 important goals for the team. His general play has been mostly nothing which in reality isn't that different to his season at Real Madrid. He doesn't do much in the way of chance creation. Bellingham's a box to box midfielder and shouldn't be playing as a 10. Madrid's creativity coming from deep with Kroos/Modric is why he can play further up for them. That's not how England play so there's zero reason he should be playing as a 10 ahead of Foden for England.
  15. The German & Australian posters on the forum have gone into hiding.
  16. Italy never looked dangerous. Swiss were easily the better side. And Vargas finally doing something in a tournament.
  17. After Maatsen completed his £35m move to Aston Villa from Chelsea, Kellyman now completes his £19m move to Chelsea from Aston Villa. The deals help each other with their PSR troubles which is most likely why Chelsea paid £19m for a youth player with very little first team experience. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/crgkdj6rpzdo
  18. Finding his way into the Arsenal first team after being let go at 13 will be a great story.
  19. You're agreeing to help Chelsea out with PSR as they can count all the fee as immediate income while you can spread that cost out over 5 years in your accounts. In return Chelsea will most likely do the same for you by paying over the odds for Kellyman. Smart. Dodgy. Both words apply.
  20. Saturday 29th June, 2024 Switzerland 1-1 Italy, 17.00 Germany 2-0 Denmark, 20.00 Sunday 30th June, 2024 England 2-1 Slovakia, 17.00 Spain 4-1 Georgia, 20.00 Monday 1st July, 2024 France 1-1 Belgium, 17.00 Portugal 3-1 Slovenia, 20.00 Tuesday 2nd July, 2024 Romania 2-3 Netherlands, 17.00 Austria 2-2 Turkey, 20.00
  21. Not much in it between both teams in my opinion. Hoping for another Xhaka masterclass.
  22. Just move Bellingham back to partner Rice and play Foden at 10. Bring Palmer, Eze, or Gordon into the team.
  23. Not sure why Czechia's goal was even allowed. Looked a definite foul on the keeper. Game looked like it was great fun with all the cards.
  24. 24 teams is a weird number of teams which is why they have an extremely convoluted system in place to make it make sense for the knockout stage. If they cared about the integrity of the competition, they wouldn't have done it this way. If the quality for 32 teams isn't there, then they should go back to 16. 24 teams just makes the group stages too weird.
