  1. I wouldn't say they're similar at all. Jesus fits our style extremely well and always looks in control of what he's doing whereas you never know if Nunez is gonna do something good or something embarrassing. He's just not a penalty box striker. I'd say Jesus is more similar to Firmino and Liverpool didn't do too bad with him.
  2. Best thing Man Utd have done this season. Not confident about next week though. Very rarely do well at Anfield.
  3. Nottm Forest 1-2 Tottenham 20.00 Bournemouth 2-1 Luton Chelsea 2-0 Sheff Utd Man City 3-0 Crystal Palace Newcastle 2-1 Fulham Burnley 1-1 Everton, 17.30 Arsenal 2-2 Brighton, 14.00 Brentford 1-1 Aston Villa, 14.00 West Ham 2-1 Wolves, 14.00 Liverpool 3-1 Man Utd, 16.30
  4. Gladbach 2-1 Bremen Mainz 2-2 Heidenheim Bochum 1-2 Union Augsburg 0-2 Dortmund Darmstadt 1-1 Wolfsburg Leipzig 3-1 Hoffenheim Freiburg 1-0 Köln Leverkusen 2-1 Frankfurt Bayern 3-2 Stuttgart
  5. The more you find out about the UN security council, the more you find out how ridiculously it's set up. The 5 members with veto power are UK, USA, France, Russia, and China. UK & France rarely veto as they only want to secretly be cunts. The other 3 can't stop vetoing. Their interests aren't aligned and they don't necessarily care about people dying in order to protect those interests and that seems to always get in the way of their peace keeping. 5 countries who don't have the best history in international politics either so of course they want to be viewed as the judges of international politics. Best way to get away with everything. It also says a lot about how bad guys are the only ones that can keep other bad guys in check in international politics. These countries being experienced war criminals is why they were able to beat Nazi & friends.
  6. The Harry Kane curse will let no one win anything.
  7. Still don't know if it should've been a goal or not. I'll say yes... Fairplay to Villa though. They're a well drilled team. After scoring early, they had to play a totally different game to the one against Man City and still did well.
  8. Crystal Palace 1-3 Liverpool, 12.30 Brighton 2-1 Burnley Man Utd 2-0 Bournemouth Sheff Utd 1-1 Brentford Wolves 2-0 Nottm Forest Aston Villa 2-2 Arsenal, 17.30 Everton 1-2 Chelsea, 14.00 Fulham 2-2 West Ham, 14.00 Luton 0-3 Man City, 14.00 Tottenham 3-2 Newcastle, 16.30
  9. The US vetoes the UN security council vote on a ceasefire. No surprise there. A ceasefire should obviously happen but it's the bare minimum. Unfortunately there will never be anywhere near a satisfactory step towards justice for the crimes Israel has committed over the decades.
  10. Can't wait to listen to football journalists praise Postecoglu again for failing to win.

    Wrestling

A long title reign is good if it's warranted. When they're doing it for the sake of it, it's just pointless. You'd think with them wanting to establish a new title they'd want a good title reign.
  12. Everton would be 10th and above Chelsea right now if not for the points deduction.
  13. Aw gee mister, thanks for being super pedantic and providing a link about wars.
  14. Qatar has made changes to workers rights by removing the kafala system and the fact they were wanted an influx of foreigners from different countries is also a step in the right direction. Regardless of how slow it is, contact and communication between different people is what creates positive change. And you and the other poster were just talking about Saudi Arabia progressing. But now that's somehow been wiped from your memory... I guess no one should host sports tournaments because anyone capable of hosting one is run by cunts. Or we do what we do for every tournament in the west where sports is viewed separately from a country's politics but we do it for non-western countries as well. I guess being consistent isn't for everyone.
  15. The similarities to Israel continue... Nothing will happen though. Unless you're a massively powerful nation like Russia or China, you have to be a US ally if you want to commit wars.
  16. Hoffenheim 2-1 Bochum Union 1-1 Gladbach Frankfurt 0-2 Bayern Wolfsburg 1-1 Freiburg Bremen 1-0 Augsburg Heidenheim 1-1 Darmstadt Dortmund 3-1 Leipzig Stuttgart 0-2 Leverkusen Köln 1-1 Mainz
  17. I like that you're now adding the US to the list. Something you didn't used to do before and something that no one in sports media that uses the term "sports washing" does, and that's one of the reasons why people shouldn't take people that use it seriously. Clear and obvious double standards. It also doesn't work as far as getting people to be okay with politics they otherwise would've disagreed with so it's pointless to cry about it. But if people are going to do it then hopefully they're at least consistent. One way "sports washing" works is actually in a positive way... Progress in countries is proven to happen when a country's trying to impress and prove themselves capable. Qatar & Saudi Arabia are good examples of that. Hooray for sports washing I guess.

    Hip Hop/Rap

Something from an under appreciated legend.
  19. The guy has been shady for a long time. At least Suge Knight had the decency to let everyone know he was a scumbag.
  20. 21 shots to 2. Sounds like Aston Villa should be winning by more.
  21. Or, Raya hasn't been able to make the step up and looks nervous when playing as there's a bigger spotlight on him. Neither of the mistakes yesterday had anything to do with having a pre-season with the team. It was his own goalkeeping errors.
