  1. Yeah mate but it's an accumulation of the last year or so. Even if those three get dropped, they'll still have more opportunities to impress and they'll even remain in the team for longer periods even if they're underperfoming. Hudson-Odoi can be pulled after a bad 45 minutes and you won't see him again for a couple of weeks, not only that, he's also normally not played in his best position either. The reality is with Pulisic and Havertz is that they'll have one good game in 6 which keeps everyone who watches them ticking over, Ziyech has one good game in 12. They may come good again in the future and I'm not ruling that out but that's the pure honest opinion I have of them after watching them the past year or so. We can't forget how good Pulisic was in that return period after lockdown, Havertz found some good form at the back end of last season and this season to be fair the system or position hasn't suited him as much. I just think sometimes the treatment and use of Hudson-Odoi is unfair.
  2. So the likes of Pulisic, Havertz and Ziyech can perform how they like because they were bought for good money or are more experienced but Hudson-Odoi gets shifted after one bad performance. Who knows if Hudson-Odoi will even fulfill his potential and start performing consistently but put him in the team for ten games straight now and he'd offer more than the previous three in that time, that's for sure.
  3. I can’t post by the looks of it. I click post and it just reloads the topic and the post doesn’t appear. Tried on mobile, a different browser and on a different day. Edit: It’s suddenly worked on my phone but not on the desktop. I was trying to post in the Newcastle thread.
  4. I was doubtful about how good he was when he joined and always saw him as a bit overrated. Proved me wrong, absolute don. @El Profesor
  5. Credit to Tuchel for pulling Mount at the weekend, one of my favourite in game changes I can think of in recent years. Don't accept mediocrity, players have to be in the team based on merit and nobody's place in the team is given. I'm singling out Mount but the likes of Havertz, Ziyech and Pulisic haven't been much better and you could say worse. The Mount change though, given his status and performances in the team the last two years, makes a strong statement.
  6. Can I get back to my loneliness? I don't know what to do with all the happiness That you're giving me
  7. You can probably dig out some posts of mine saying similar things and I still stand by them, great on his day, with a skill set that can be useful for any top club no doubt but overall he isn't consistent enough. He's benefited from roles in two good systems this year, with us and Italy which allow him a lot of protection. I think him being in contention for the Ballon d'Or says more about the competition he's had and more notably the emphasis that gets put on collective trophies, rather than individual performances. Overall, he's had a positive year no doubt, I appreciate his role in the squad but he probably isn't as good as some of the recognition he's been getting this year.
  8. He hasn't been terrible but nowhere near the standards of the last season, there are players performing worse than him in attacking areas but I'll call out anyone if I don't think their performing to what they're capable of and Mount fits that description at the moment despite probably being my favourite Chelsea player these days. For me, he's been our best player, not only last season but the season before as well. At his best, he does everything and sets the tempo for the rest of the team, his absence was felt when he missed a game last season or the season before last. I don't know if he's got a bit complacent, played too much football or whatever but he's not at last season's level where he set himself some high standards. The worst thing for me at the moment with him is that he seems to be losing the ball a lot when retaining the ball is normally one of his strong points, you never really used to see him lose the ball ever. Hopefully, it's just a small bad patch and he'll come out of it.
  9. We’re being carried mate slightly by Lukaku at the moment. Our other attacking players aren’t performing as well as they should be, even Mount. Havertz - has moments of brilliance but isn’t consistent, his Champions League final goal means that he’s untouchable for the time being. Mount - i’ve just documented his recent form above, last season he was the heartbeat of the team but hasn’t been himself of late. What he brings tactically helps him cement his place in the team Pulisic - dumb Ziyech - dumber I’ve been saying for a while now that we need the attacking players to step up. Last season we more or less got by because of Mount and rotating the others and then them chipping in here and there. Now that Mount is not on it, the lack of quality is a lot more evident. I adore Mount but will always call out any player if they’re not performing well enough. Lukaku won’t be able to carry us all season and will undoubtedly go through a rough patch himself and hence we need the others to step up. I’m still not confident enough in our attack to be strong enough for the title and hence think we’ll fall short. Hopefully, I’m wrong. We should be right up there in the mix with the squad we have though.
  10. Mount hasn’t been the same player since the Euro’s started. He hasn’t been terrible but hasn’t been performing to the high levels of last season. He isn’t performing as bad as some of his competition in that area but for me he needs a kick up the backside. He’s lucky he’s got competition such as Ziyech and Pulisic.
  11. I'm not saying start him against Liverpool away today far from it, just that he should be getting more game time in general, particularly considering some of the performances of the players in front of him. He needs to be playing left wing as well, he can do a job at right wing back but for his development he needs to be playing in his best position more as well. Cruising against Palace at home and he was never brought on, perfect time to give some minutes, he's never used in those situations which I find baffling, if anything, only seems to be used when we're chasing games. Bottom line is that Tuchel doesn't trust or rate him, the same with Lampard. I'm not saying he's going to tear it up and become a world beater in a couple of years, he might end up like Loftus-Cheek and not fulfill his potential but given Hudson-Odoi's performances, profile, potential, and the current context he should be used more. I read something recently that hit home and that's the fact that the annoying thing is that if he does come in and doesn't perform, he's normally the first to get pulled, always seems to happen with the younger players, whereas more experienced players can get away with the lackluster performances and mediocrity and aren't treated the same.
  12. Hudson-Odoi should leave, no point wasting time, you don't want him to end up lingering around like Loftus-Cheek. Push for a loan move or even a permanent one Callum, you need football. The likes of Pulsiic and Ziyech can under perform all they want in front of you but no matter how they do, you won't be above them in the pecking order. Your season most likely will be made up of the odd appearance here and there at full back. You deserve more game time but won't get it, get out there somewhere else and prove yourself.
  13. Do other countries also have an obligation? Should they adopt a strict or open policy? Should countries take in as many as they can? Discuss.
  14. @Rab Thanks for all your work mate, appreciated. Legend.
