OrangeKhrush Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 he is just brought in to be a glorified cheer leader, someone with a history at the club and hero but these players will throw him under the bus like they did to Tuchel and Potter.

When Roy Hodgson rejoined us he could just cracked on with the job straight away with the support of the influential players. It's a very different Chelsea team now though isnt it? Whereas your lot haven't signed anyone in about 15 years.

Agreed, This is why I don't get what the plan is, most teams just tweak a bit here and there and bring in better players or at least players that strengthen a weak area on the pitch but Boehly has just gone out like a fishing trawler scooping up everything hoping he has got a net full of prime tuna.. What makes all this worse of course is changing managers.. Spend 200Mill then sack Tuchel, spend another 300Mill then sack Potter. the next manager in is going to have to try and sort the mess out and get rid of the dead wood to trim that squad down, with so many players there now and all of them wanting to play it's just a recipe for more long term agony.. The players themselves need to shoulder part or even most of the blame.. considering the skill that they possess we should be doing much, much better than the sorry lacklustre performances currently being put in. It's not like any of them show even little flashes of their potential either, unlike a player like Hazard for example who could come off the bench and turn a game around on his own with a moment of magic on the ball.. Watching them yesterday and some of the passing was just awful, getting caught on the ball, one touch too many, wayward shooting and the list goes on.. It all contributes to a pretty sad situation.. We can only hope that someone comes in that is capable of sorting out the wheat from the chaff..
