Well he hasn't signed a new contract, but given Zaha decided to mess us around until the third week of July and all the uncertainty around Andersen and Olise, I think we take the financial hit and lose him for less money next summer.

Eze is good at doing the things Gundogan does when it comes to surging runs in to the box, and Man City haven't got someone who seemingly does that. So it may be more beneficial for him to stay another season, be the man in an injury free campaign, and then join a big club capable of winning trophies as opposed to joining Spurs in a transitional period now.

We are looking at him now too

If you had approached us as soon as it was clear Gundogan was leaving, you would have got him for a lot cheaper.

It may be worth waiting until next summer when you get him at a discount now because of his contract situation. We have too many fires to play ball at the minute.

He's only on the shortlist at the minute but we running out of options. do you think we could get him now? no doubt we will have to pay more this window

I'd like to think we'd hold our ground, it may means losing him for a reduced fee in a year but its far to late to organise a competent replacement and strengthen where we already need to as a necessity.

Roy Hodgson will not stand in the way of Eze If City make it official, Palace will entertain a conversation if it starts with an eight before it. City have the money.
