Rangers and Hibs out before August and Celtic will get to the group stages where they’ll get pumped.

What's tonight's Euromillions numbers?

This round has been the first disappointment of the season. It's not even as if Celtic were outplayed by AEK Athens, it's just that awful defending cost them. It's been evident for over a year now, but not much seems to have been done about it. But there should ease into the Europa League group stages, but anything beyond that could be down to getting a good draw. Financially, this will hurt their chances over the next few years as well.

Rangers again look to have built a very solid base and once again have a clean sheet away from home. Maribor were in the Champions League last season and didn't really trouble Rangers, that speaks a lot for the vast improvement that Gerrard has overseen this summer. Next up is a very long trip, three days before an Old Firm game, to the middle of Russia. Ufa barely made it past Progres, a team familiar to Rangers, so the quality of that team may not be as great as people are used to from Russian teams.

Hibs have played beyond themselves, especially after losing their midfield over the summer. But the manner of their exit doesn't reflect well on them. Ultimately, they failed to score and Molde have a comfortable 3-0 win at home. Norway are a similar nation to Scotland, and if Scotland wants to become a top fifteen European nation again they have to have victories in ties like this. When they get a draw like Molde, rather than one of the supposed best English teams, they have to take advantage and get through to the later rounds.
