The Artful Dodger
Ward must surely have had some sort of assurance of first team football, but it may be the case of waiting for next season? Chelsea need a keeper though.

You see it all the time when fans overrate a player who's not getting a game because they don't like a player who is or they don't like the manager. Lazar Markovic springs to mind as an example, and I think it's absolutely the case with Danny Ward as well. Klopp has dropped both Mignolet and Karius for poor performance, and he would absolutely have put Ward in at some point if he thought he was good enough. there is nowhere better for our players' development than never playing for us. It's the one place generally useless players become world beaters according to a lot of our fans.
IgnisExcubitor
I followed Huddersfield a little bit (some of their matches) when they played in the Championship with Ward in the goal. He wasn't that great, but he did have a strong end to the season. In terms of ability he might not be amongst the top keepers, but he was definitely calmer than Migs and Karius. And that is the biggest problem with those two. They have a habit of setting panic (even when they don't commit huge mistakes) in the defence and the team. It's a shame Ward didn't get a chance at LFC, but he would have definitely done better than those two. Might be one of those things with managers not fancying a player. Have seen that with Rafa, Rodgers, etc. Anyways, Leicester have got a good player who, if given a chance, will put in 6 or 7 out 10 in most matches.
